  1. I tend to get that more with the TV fast packs because they don't accomodate the gun as well. The DYRL fast packs work better.
  2. I think I just threw-up a little in my mouth.
  3. For those of you waiting to watch the new, you can read about the old on anymoon.com (no real pics because I'm a pussy). Basically, if you've seen it, you'll gain nothing from my newest article. If you haven't seen it and just want to know what it's about, you might enjoy the read. Feel free to point out any typos or to disagree via comment.

So now for the update on NB4M... I mean, kinda seems like this whole thing has put him out more than anyone.
  5. everytime someone mentions Battlefield I hear that opening beat... Countless drunken hours in college were wasted (hehe) with that game. I dig the Ghost model, can't wait to see your SV-51!
  6. Something else to consider, companies are getting much more savvy to all the implications of DVD distribution. In the US there were several TV shows that were released with different music than they originally aired with because the rights to said music had expired (don't ask me to name a single one, I don't buy TV shows on DVD... except Firefly). Now when the rights contracts are being negotiated they include reference to future DVD sales. This may very well be what happend with Cowboy Bebop and did not happen with Mac7.

That really is great news! It's especially nice to hear that the Shin will include the upgrade.
  8. LOL, am i insane or does Drifand's SDF-1 picture look a lot like "the Last Supper" Edit - it should also go without saying that that's a cool pic with lots of cool stuff.
  9. See what a difference forgetting a smiley face could make. That was supposed to be read in that sarcastic "tisk tisk" tone...
  10. Blatant piracy is illegal Meh CD.
  11. It looks fresh, it looks clean, but it don't look like $150. I'd still buy it for half price though . Think this is another one I'll have to hope to pick off of eBay a year from now for much less.
  12. Yeah, I've been shopping a lot lately and I haven't come across it yet but Shin's is due at the same time and it's everywhere. Now, personally, I think Shin's giftset will get delayed. This is Murphy's law. Every time I do a bulk pre-order at least one of the items gets delayed holding up my entire order. Since Shin's will be the last item that's supposed to come in... I predict it won't actually be released until July. Back on track, no word of a YF-19 giftset but I'm glad you told me about it because I almost bought the stand alone one but now I'll gladly wait
  13. Nope, I haven't seen it anywhere.
  14. Yep, I liked it a lot and I'm sure I would have liked it more if the subtitles were done right. It's great to see a show that actually does have a resolution also (even if it is a little trippy and open to a bit of speculation). Orguss2 should make a tiny bit more sense to you now too... not that it's tied all that closely.

Do not that many people on these boards on a VF-0 yet? Seems like there should be more responses here. Either that or maybe the word is sufficiently out now and everyone knows to immediately unscrew the shoulders on their zeroes now.
  16. Crap, did I miss something? They've stated they're going to do a gift-set with the YF-19 and Fold Booster? I hadn't heard that! My big debate lately has been if I should pre-order the urban camo GBP with the Shin/Ghost Giftset. I don't know if I want to wait that long to get my GBP since they'd ship together!
  17. TMP is probably having their's shipped via boat from Japan or China. I would guess that's why they show the release date being late February.
  18. Yes, because if you're talking about the area just SE of Alaska you could totally count Sketchley in for attending. If you're going to make him drive the 15 hours of snowy misery to get all the way to what he refers to as the SW (that being the NW of the USA) he's out, that's too much trouble.
  19. I can't believe they don't have a single shot of Yellow. That kind of tells me that they're not going to go the "Mospeada 2" route with this in Japan. Yellow seems to me to be the most popular character from Mospeada in Japan (going by the DVD release they had there that features Yellow on everything and the fact he was the main character in LLA) so you'd think they'd give him a cameo.
  20. Forgive me guys, I don't actually own one of these, but these parts are internal right? If so, wouldn't just any color of super hard resin work?
  21. I think I made that exact same quote when a super petite female friend of mine was surgically enhanced... eventually I was able to get some movement out of them but that's neither here nor there... wow. I don't consider myself agro... but I'll let ya know
  22. It's too bad I put away my VF-0S or else I'd measure Roy. Isn't Roy something like 8'5" tall in Macross or something? I seem to remember thinking he was a giant. Anyway, I definitely think that Yamato is exercising a bit of artistic license as Justvinnie pointed out with the pilot figures to get them to be a bit better looking. They probably saw how nice the reaction was when they first started including pilots with their fastpack 1/72 releases and so they've made them little display pieces ever since... which meant making them a bit bigger than they ought to be. Again, it's too bad I don't have 'em out for measuring
  23. I think I'm probably going to buy a few boxes to *hopefully* cover my bases.
  24. Man... if this thing were $75 I'd probably be all over it. At $150 I'm still stuck hesitating. I want it... but I'm not sure I want it that bad...
  25. What ya gotta understand is, the scale on the Alpha in fighter mode is just OFF. Way off. Here's the dimensions: In "real life" an Alpha in fighter mode is 10.25Meters long (1,025CM) In "real life" an Alpha in Battloid would stand 8.75Meters tall (875CM) The Toynami Alpha in fighter mode is 24CM long. In fighter mode the Alpha is about 1/43 scale. Standing in Battloid the Toynami Alpha is 17cm tall. In Battloid mode the Alpha is between 1/51 and 1/52 scale. This isn't really fair though. You could say that the Alpha might be proportioned to be 1/52 scale also in fighter mode but since it's a toy it just can't collapse as much as it should (the dimensions of the toy would change a lot if you could slide the feet deep within the leg like the lineart suggests you should. The pilots for the Robotech Alphas are 2.5CM sitting. Multiplying that by 60 would make them 5' tall sitting or somewhere between 6 and 7' tall standing (probably closer to 7'). At 1/48 scale these figures are a hair under 4' tall sitting which would put them in the 5-6' tall bracket which might be a bit short. I think the 1/52 scale becomes the answer again.
