  1. C'mon Bandai! DO IT!
  2. Monster MK V "PORCUPINE". I have to question if only the three cannons left on the arms (or missile launchers or whatever those are) is sufficient? I think we could probably layer a few more arms on top of that... and some tiny useless pouches.
  3. "I could be a friend to you"
  4. I think repaints and exclusives are a sure bet but may take a while... Unless the reception to this toy is colder on Japan.
  5. No... We're at work slacker. Only kidding, hope you'rehaving fun.
  6. Jealous. Let me know if you see one for a decent price.
  7. I saw this thread get bumped and was hoping Bandai had announced Paladin parts.
  8. The braces on mine locked in incredibly tight, it was a little scary popping them back off. The bracket pegs in exactly like the intakes do in fighter mode. On the one where you keep having it fall out, do the intakes also fall out really easily? That would be a nightmare. My transformation video is now also posted. Thanks to everyone that's been checking the review out!
  9. Check signature. Thanks.
  10. Thanks guys! Video review is up, transformation guide will follow after work. I'll embed both videos on the site then also.
  11. My review is uploading now, it should be published in the morning unless I get stupid Youtube errors like I did with my last ride armor review. I had to upload that one three times . The transformation video will go up after work.
  12. I'm surprised there's no 'renewal YF-21' on the list. It offers repaints also in the M7 license. I'm fairly certain it won't happen but it seems like a more logical choice then most of the listed options. A V3 VF-1 is also probably more likely than a lot of the options on the list since VF-1 sales are a proven winner and there's lots of mold milking possibilities.
  13. The thing that seems silly is the implication that Hasbro is benefiting from a practice that in all likelihood is very detrimental to their business. The notion that they could be increasing profit by losing market share is... bizarre. If they thought there was a market for lower priced toys they would make lower priced toys (and do). So yeah, the factories might be making the same toy and delivering some to Hasbro and pushing some out the backdoor.
  14. Has/Tak has an issue with their factories that's leading to these knock-offs. It probably started with someone selling rejects as KOs and then they were like "why don't we just make some extras".
  15. So if they're doing a knock off then we probably have a reissue coming right?
  16. Yar, that's pretty friggin' awesome.
  17. Have you tried transforming it once and back? There are lots of tabs so it's possible it looks off center in fighter mode because a tab or two became unseated.
  18. And only 25% more expensive than a YF-30 Chronos toy... what a bargain!
  19. I'm working on putting together the videos now but in the mean time I've got the article up on my site. Let me know if I missed something!
  20. If anyone has a version 2 Takara Hot Rod masterpiece that they don't really feel that attached to but might want to trade it or sell it, let me know. I have a version 1 and would like to have both so I could compare them first hand. I did take my Fairlady Z toys out of their boxes and have been enjoying handling them more than I expected. A lot of the picture on the webs had me expecting these toys would be fairly stiff but I've been pleasantly surprised by the articulation.
  21. Yeah, they should have skipped Sunstorm and released all three of the Fairlady Z toys at the same time at no more than $49.99 a pop. That's my 2 cents at least.
  22. As far as determining how big of an audience is out there to buy Robotech merchandise, there were only a little less than 2300 backers for Robotech Academy and most of those people were investing far less than the cost of a quality toy. Paladiums efforts might be more similar with 5300 backers. You can play around with the numbers a lot from there but you can see, it's never going to be a huge audience barring Robotech finding some way of getting relevant again. It might have been my website you were referring to in regard to the toy reviews. The Toynami MPC Alpha is based on the Imai 1/48 Legioss model. I'm not a big fan of RT:TM or SDCSC but I do think there's a lot of potential there if RT ever does get a reboot. I like to doodle reinvented 2nd gen mecha for Robotech when I have time taking inspiration from what was there but also keeping in mind what is in Macross and what we eventually get in the Mospeada arch.
  23. I'm probably going to be there on Saturday. I might shoot for an Aramaki signature in my Mospeada book.
  24. I love the giant cranium
