That's probably the one Exo did, or a recast of it. Fext will not be the first hobbyist to take a stab at a 1/60 V2 thunder Hummer/hammer

At the factory there's a giant pile of right leg armor attachment pieces hidden under someone's work station.

I thought the Taobao listing said the May restock was bumped to June.

Order through Rakuten using fromJapan and you'll probably be all set, you might even be able to get their discount that they run every week.

[CN] New ThunderCats - ThunderCats ROAR!
jenius replied to Old_Nash's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hmm, I wonder if this will be at Comic-con. Thundercats isn't sacred to me, I could have fun with this. I wonder if this will be up my kids alley. -
Solo: A Star Wars Story, in theaters May 25, 2018
jenius replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Got my tickets for one week from today. My expectations are the lowest they've been for a star wars flick so hopefully it at least hits that bar. Ron Howard knows a thing or two about movie making. -
I almost bought the cannon fodder 1J but I had one before and sold it and it just didn't tickle me in the right spots so I figured I'd let some other lucky hunter grab it. A little note, all those auctions are for used, often loose, often stickers applied, some missing parts, and occasionally broken toys. I did grab the Max & Miria 1J toys so I could compare them to their Arcadia brethren. I also nabbed a couple others

If they didn't get a good production run of 31A toys made, it seems unlikely they'd support them with an accessory right? I men, I'd love to get super parts for it but it just seems like Arad would get an armor parts announcement first. Maybe they could save 31A super parts for after a 31A Arad release...

I mentioned somewhere mine was also mis transformed in the box. Go to attack and back.

Cool, glad you guys liked it, I updated the printed article also though there's not much different there if you watched the vid.

Hmmm, something seems off with that auction... Mandarake had one up for over an evening at 40,000.

Doing mother's day stuff at the moment but hoping to get everything up later today.

I got an update from Amiami about the ET Legioss Zeta saying it was delayed, it's not actually going to ship on 4/30 (I had figured that out). What was curious is the email didn't list a new expected date. So, I hopped on Amiami and see that it's now listed as 5/31. What was really odd, at the time (it no longer says it) the listing was updated to say "Tentative preorder" instead of "Preorder". First time I'd seen that...

If you have really bright lights and a black backdrop you could probably get a similar look (ignoring everything about photography) but you'll find it's pretty fleeting. The glow-in-the-dark paint is very tiny applications so they seem to dim rather rapidly and it also makes them more subtle in all but the most extreme instances.

Great idea, I wonder if they're steering clear of the DYRL launch arm because they don't want to pop up on Bandai's radar... in case Bandai is still considering such a thing.

Oh man, there was the craziest thread way back when Wave did their WHAM SDF-1 about those knees... don't go there!

Yeah, that's not going to represent how most people will see the toy. As you can see on the left, there are some very bright lights shining down on that thing and those lights are immediately out of frame. I then turned off all the lights (including the computer because the camera is so sensitive it was picking up the glow from the keyboard). I used the scene setting for a night-time picture with a tripod. The glow-in-the-dark effect cast a lot of green on the background so I then dropped the exposure a bit in Photoshop to actually darken that picture on the right up a smidge. The average person who isn't going to absolutely blast this thing with a ton of light and then view it in the most pitch black room possible is going to have a much more muted effect. I'm really looking forward to taking pictures in cruiser mode... since it was a bit mistransformed out of the box I went straight to attack mode and have started there. Here's the pic that retained the green glow from the paint, which do you guys prefer?

Proof!

it doesn't seem like that should have much of an impact. Do you have some really strong lights to put it under? The glow is pretty dramatic on mine but I have been viewing it after having it under giant LED photo lamps for a while. My normal room light doesn't seem to have much impact.

I live in a very high cost of living area and my photo rig takes up too much space as it is. My kids have been great so far but I would really have to infringe on space that can be used for a lot of other things and wouldn't have anyone to blame but myself if it resulted in damage. Storage and selling off excess toys works best for me. I also kind of like that I can have house guests come over and it doesn't have to be a point of conversation
