  1. QFT...just had my 4th sitting of MF...I'll add that Macross not only is what it used to be like Jason said but better and able to stay relevant regardless if you watch MF or SDF:M. I can sit through and see them over and over again and find very little to gripe about if anything. Sexual innuendos? Really? Talk about nit picking. Nevermind that the show focuses also on war, genocide, with displays of betrayal and murder...we can squash a pilot into a pool of blood or blast the Earth and show a child and soldier get blasted from space...but show some fan service or kinky imagery and it causes a debate about taste
  2. *pops open a bottle of fail juice* This should be fun...
  3. Japan Airlines gets delivery of 1st B787 Dreamliner...I think the Captain must have had the jitters on this take off... http://www.newairplane.com/787/delivery/#/en/jal/takeofftojapan
  4. In the year 1985 war was beginning... No, seriously...saw Robotech when it aired on WPIX Channel 11 in NY. Was into Voltron, GI Joe and Transformers around that time and was blown away by the more mature tone the Macross saga had when compared to the other shows. Saw the entire series and was left with many questions...the first one being, where the hell was the SDF-2? And...why don't any of the uniforms match between generations. Fast forward to 1990, I was living in Chile and caught completely by surprise an airing of the Sentinels. WOW! Cool! Oh...aaah...and then disappointment...nothing further to add there, we've all heard the stories. Fast forward to 1991-92...I make friends with a fellow otaku in high school and learned the TRUTH...still liked the series and actually read the novels and played the RPG's. Also around this time was able to rent a copy of Clash of the Bionoids...this confused me again as I was like, "A man and a woman? A man and a woman? It must be protoculture!" Macross Plus and Macross II were released in the US around 94-95 ish? Saw and loved them both. Around 97 saw Macross 7 and was like WTF!?!? It wasn't until 2009 that I saw Macross Frontier that I had seen anything related to the original...and between then and now have finally seen the original SDF:M and also the original Mospeada and Southern Cross.
  5. I'm liking it so far...so cool to see a refreshed version of the series. The Macross' design is closer to DYRL then the series which is great imo. Minmei as a pinup girl? Sure why not lol! Can't wait for more!
  6. Hey Jason, where is this software you speak of? I've had zero success in getting the subs on my dvd's
  7. @Omegablue, the Governor was cast in Feb., David Morrisay (sp?) will play the roll.
  8. This has been nagging at me for a while, and now while watching Macross Frontier for the third time I need an answer damnit! /nerdrage Is Michael a Zentrandi? In most of the shots I see him, he sports pointed ears...yet I can't find anything documented on his origins.
  9. According to whats his name...was a guest on Talking Dead. He said it was more about Lorrie being mad at herself for getting Rick and Shane to that level but I can dismiss that and still say its poor writing, she egged them both on during the last couple of episodes.
  10. What makes her other worldly? The fact she uses a kitana? The zombies have their jaws and arms taken off on purpose and her reasoning for that is their stench helps keeps others away. Darryl prefers a crossbow to a gun, does that make him other worldly? Not to mention his very nice pearl neck...I mean zombie ear necklace. Seriously I think you guys are getting way too carried away with this then it merits. Like someone said, so much griping on how they've gone sideways from the comic and here they introduce her almost in the exact same context as the source material and its nerd rage city. Also, its been months since it all went to the shitter, its very fair to say there are survivors that have become very crafty and skilled in ways to stay alive, so after two seasons its not out of context. Its an introduction to the frakked up way the world has changed people. Before the dead rose she was a lawyer who took fencing in college and stole that kitana from a neighbor upon her escape...there hope thats enough to settle you people down.
  11. Right because a world filled with zombies is an incredible touch of realism to begin with... Relax people, Michonne might be a bad ass but is far from being a super hero type. She's in for a rough time when the Governor makes his appearance. Who I read is going to be played by David Morrisey.
  12. Yeah so in case you were still wondering or debating...
  13. I just got the original Southern Cross today...found it on Amazon for $17...finally I can say I've seen all three originals and own them to boot!
  14. Yeah no surprise there...that spoiler should have happened much earlier in the series. About this past week's episode and the one before...Walkers have been shown some feats of strength, especially close to a kill. Anyone notice in the Rick vs Shane episode when they were looking at the two security guards they just shot, Shane made the observation that neither of them had bite marks? Hint Hint Hint to what that doctor whispered to Rick at the end of season one
  15. Got my Sith Juggernaut to level 50 over the weekend...working on a Republic Sage...the grind continues!
  16. My favorite episode of Real Ghostbusters was Ragnarok and Roll, followed by Citizen Ghost.
