  1. That looks awesome! I think you pulled it off. Nice to see a new paint scheme on an "older" design. - MT
  2. Looking good so far. I'm going to have to buy some of that wash. I tried using the regular mix I use and it just doesn't cut the mustard. Keep up the good work and posts! - MT
  3. It came out great and the green still looks good. Nice job! At least somebody's cranking a finished model kit out - it's not me - MT
  4. That came out great. Wood can be tough to shape and seal with all those compound curves in the design.
  5. I think you are having moisture problems; it's why I can't finish poainting the Daedlaus. Too bad you can't cast them and throw them in a food dehydrator like with paints. The moisture gets in the resin before pouring. The humidity was only 90% today - MT
  6. Thank you guys! The humidity is way to high for me to finish painting this in the RIGHT colors. I'm hoping to finish this in the fall when the weather mellows out. I waited too long and summer came way to early! Thanks again! - MT
  7. That looks totally awesome! The nozzle looks great too! - MT
  8. I think I remember seeing those once upon a time. Nice customization! - MT
  9. I think its too late now, but don't forget that soaking it in some Pinesol will strip the paint off without harming the plastic. I actaully tried it my self first. Looks great so far! I'd be paranoid that the mic thrusters still worked - MT
  10. So, like where's our Macross World shirt commemorating the 30th anniversary? I'm working on a model, who's got the shirt...EXO - MT
  11. This has been posted before, but I wish the inside of my garage looked like that hanger bay - MT
  12. That looks awesome! "Crisp and Clean with no cafeine" I mean issues...The only downside is it's not a real aircraft - MT
  13. It does look pretty cool, but I still think its missing something like the internal guts. - MT
  14. OK, I really want one armored too. I think it may have to be seperate because of the amount of rework. I'll start a new thread on it for photos and orders since it's completely different. - MT
  15. That 11 looks great! Nice choice of colors. - MT
  16. Man! With prices like this, it's good to be more into models than toys - phew!!! - MT
  17. I didn't know there was a 1/8000 cruiser mode; cool! Let me know if you can't find the scans, I'll see what I can do. Those mods DID make it look ten times better. - MT
  18. People would REALLY love to see the 1/5000 kits re-released because they were the best injection kit interpretations of the SDF-1. The 1/8000 Storm Attacker unfortunately is the only one in current production. I don't believe there was ever an injection molded kit of the SDF-1 in cruiser mode. Do check ebay every now and then. I've actually found the 1/5000 on there for reasonable prices (all things considered). I think someone here a couple years ago actually converted one, try a search. - MT
  19. Hey Neptune. Right now it DOES have the obligatory missiles and gunpod. I'm contemplating the armor (and would like it myself), but it will need new legs to be made. What do you guys all think? - MT
  20. As long as Valkyrie still wants to cast them, it's up to him. The fighter is basically done, I'm just working on a very special stand to stick it on. More to come later... - MT
  21. You just need a picture of Kakizake getting blown up in the lower right hand corner That looks great! - MT
  22. Thanks for sharing the video! My son and I thought it was great! - MT
  23. I think you're problem with the paint was that it's gloss. I've had gloss take a week to fully cure. Flat on the other hand fully cures within hours. The colors are limited (like for flat colors) but Krylon's paints are great. If you want a gloss finish, then you can always apply a gloss coat later. The key to making the decals come out good is having a gloss coat on before/after putting them on. That and the Micro Sol will make them nearly like they were painted on. If you want a flat finish, that comes after the gloss. Hopefully that all makes sense. - MT
  24. Looks great! I think the only thing the cockpit is missing is a flux capacitor - MT
  25. That looks great! I was wondering when you were going to get back to this. I don't think the mustard is too far off. It will be great to see this thing all lit up! - MT
