acrylic is water based. The best paint in an book is tamiya. Mose people on here swear by it but dont let that keep you from trying other brands and types. Testors acryl is a second to tamiya in my book.

Its a shame for shuch beautiful works of machine work to end up that way. Even though ships like her and the Bismark were built for war they are the best examples of the skills of the people who built them.

It depends on the base for the color. Alot of companies used to use lead for it which really yellows after a time. Most companies use Aluminum now or titanium in their paints which yeild a whiter color with less yelow in it.

The finish of the MG kits is up to the builder really. Personally i dont like the look of unpainted plastic wether its the correct color or not. I prefer to paint my subjects. But as a whole id say as an out of the box non paint kit the MG stuff is just as good as these revell kits.

Actually blame MPC for the crappy SW models. They went bankrupt and ERTL bought them out way back when. ERTL does make decent kits overall when its a new tool made in shop. This time it turns out they bought someone elses crap

wow i didnt realise how behind the US is when it comes to getting UK produced stuff. Its gonna suck going back to the states. They also have a show over here called supermodeler and someone is making a 1/16 scale(i think) gas turbine powered C17 globe master. Its a repeat show but its good tele. The spitfire ace show could have been a bit better too it didnt move quickly enough.

Fox may yet be of some use to us.

heres the ARC with a little work.Full repaint (not 100% finished yet though) I bought all6 kits in the line and all are getting a 100% repaint. They do look good out of the box if you just want a litle dispaly piece.

HEY BERTT! I finally found that canopy to go with the decals. Is your canopy as bad as his? If not i could send it to gabe instead it seems he is in real deep need.

I wouldnt go calling the books fan fiction though considering that the authors who write them are given story arcs with many key details by lucasfilms publishing department. The authors can write whatever they want as long as the key points given to them are made and mentioned. Could be character deaths, Certain planets being destroyed or children being born. All of the EU material was written that way. Alot of the existing character background is also "given" to the authors by lucasfilm as well.

Im not talking about EU or Movie based books. Im going from sources based directly on the movies themselves, IE tech journal, StarWars insider interviews with lucas. I have to see if i still have it but there was an issue of the insider that had a breakdown of who is related to who as far as character and actor. Wedge was in it and it montioned nothing about his character being related to capt antillies just that he was related to ewan. but it did give all the luke,vader, leia relation stuff throughout the timeline. If i can find it il post a scan. It may even be available online. All i know is that Wedge is not related to Capt antillies. If anyone is related to the Captain its Bail Antillies. Also the Tantive ship was designed on corellia but its port of ownership and registry is Alderaan.

Capt Antillies is from Alderaan where as Wedge Antillies is from Corellia. Dennis Lawson is related to Ewan McGregor. Ewan is his nephew. The 2 antillies are not related however its just a name that got reused.

It conforms to the shape of the acft when its attached to reduce drag. Wing mounted drop tanks are not conformal they do not follow the shape of the acft. acft is an acronym for aircraft by the way.(for those who may question)

Because they were flying in an active combat zone and using the force does require a little concentration. It wouldnt be too easy to remove the buzz droids because of that.

Excellent work everyone. Im not too knowledgeable about Gundam but the work is great. The weathering on that ATAT looks just like the filming model. The metal work on the bike looks ok to me. Aluminum is silverish in color where as steel and other metals are more grey.

Also someone to bring up how it isnt great unless Agent One says so.

And you couldnt just post this info in ONE of the OTHER Star Wars threads why?
