  1. I know you know what your doing just b looking at your work but i cant help but remind you to be sure to prime that thing really well beforeyou paint it. Bondo is extremely pourous and will drink up most paints. I think you knew that already though
  2. AND NO MORE FRACKIN POLLS! Please Most of your topics (not all) are polls. Also you could find the anwers or info you want from your poll by using search or reading a few related threads. Your Hasegawa models poll is a good example. there are 5 threads that cover all the choices in yours man. I dont mean to explode like this but please throttle back and think a little before you choose your posting topics.
  3. Final one for tonight is the front end you can see the cowl hood in the foreground. i had to combine the street racer hood from the monogram kit with the cowl from a ertl 701/2 baldwin motion camaro to get that hood. Fortunately for the real car they make an all steel bolt on replacemnt hood so no fiberglassing.
  4. The rear end. The tail lights were painted with tamiya clear colors and then backed with aluminum paint
  5. Heres the motor. This is the best pic i could get for now. Its fully wired and includes a cast metal alternator, resin Holley carb and extremely small photoetch wire looms
  6. Now for something completely different. My car. yes i actually own a 79 camaro. My 1/1 scale one needs some restoration but to guide me in it i have taken the time to make a 1/25 scale model of it. The wires coming out of the engine bay are for the heater lines and the vaccuum line to the brake master cylinder
  7. The A-wing after detail paint awaiting weathering
  8. close up on the nose. The canopy came pre tinted
  9. Some more star wars stuff guys My imp shuttle painted and awaiting weathering
  10. Go BSU!
  11. you might want to just post the pic here BSU it just says image stolen on the link
  12. The U2 is still doing its military job and is used by nasa to do weather experiments plus various "other" reasons.
  13. Scary thing is there is still room to add more detail. HAHAHAHA
  14. Anyone want a 0A once i buy this. I knew there was a reason i didnt finish my 0S.
  15. Cool you can avtually tell that the square panels behind the round vents were Panther Tank deck lids just like on the movie model.
  16. Thanks Mechleader. There may be more pics on the way tonight. I did too Grayson but i have plans for this one now.
  17. And its for rifts too which means anything goes. Interesting finish on the kit though. Good technique.
  18. Those things arent even on the shelves in the UK yet at least in the 3 hobby shops i go to. They are prepanted too takes all the fun out of beating up the finish of an ARC-170 doesnt it?
  19. A-wing is 1/48th judging from the pilot figure, Y wing somewhere near 1/85-1/100 its dificult to tell. and Bwing is the same as Ywing. If the A wing were 1/72 scale it would be around the same size as the Fine Molds jedi starfighter and the A wing is easily 2 times the size of that or larger. On a side note id also say that the Ertl falcon is also 1/72 scale judging from the size of the Han figure that comes with it and that a 1/72 scale figure sizes up just right by the boarding ramp. I just remembered i have the twin set of tie fighters buried in my storage cabinet to build up too
  20. The main part i like about the process is that it gives the model the look of a peice of machinery used by a race that has forgotten how to fix or maintain its equipment. It gives them an aged but still in service look.
  21. Savin grace here is tha i have son=me epIII production art that has crude representations of what appear to be unmodified YT 1300 series freighters. Could actually be an interesting project to do a factory stock looking Falcon. Ill just finish restoring my existing falcon as a place holder for the FM one.
  22. WHY WHY WHY!(smacks head on wall and cat) I just bought another ertl falcon. Well i guess i can make this one into a more stock looking YT-1300 and wait for the fine molds one to get a good falcon. It will save me the 115 dollars for the side panel and cockpit set from falcon models.
  23. Actually i was able to find you a pic of one so you can salvage the little one off the kit and make the one we use here. If you need more details i can sketch them out.
  24. Thats the 1/4 scale one by screamin i think. It isnt finished i still have to paint the wires in his stomach area. Thanks Grayson BTW the virago is in 1/72 as well. I double checked on the Lambda shutle and it is definitely 1/72 and ebay is flooded with this stuff right now just do an all categories search and once complete click on model kits under toys and hobbies. The virago can be found for as little as 5 bucks.
