  1. The novel is taken from lucases screenplay and then interpreted by the author who wrote. He was told to leave all the wookie action out. I guess they wanted at least one suprise in there. So in all yes it was written by 2 different people. I didnt like the "this is so and so " crap either.
  2. He was the apprentice now HE is the master. I guess the next head cardinal would be his apprentice. "It is your destiny"
  3. HOLY CRAP! How much weight did he have to lose to get that look to his face. Any thinner and he wont need skull makeup.
  4. Tell George that Mel wants his character back
  5. Dong decals? just kidding man
  6. Looks like the launchers are the LAU 128/129 series on the 22 so it can take both the AIM9 and 120. They are just mounted on an extender for firing.
  7. Ok then your paint is fine, its the wash that is a little too thick. Dont scrub too hard because you can rub the acrylic off even with a Qtip.
  8. What is your base paint oil based(testors/humbrol) or acrylic? Some people swear by future but i still think you should have an acrylic base coat. If your base is oil based you may still have problems. If it isnt lifting your paint try wetting a papretowel or Qtip swab in the thinner, not sopping wet just damp, and then wipe it down again. Artists oils are workable even a day or 2 after you wash them in. It also helps to use a minnimum amount. Let the wash flow for you dont just slap it all over. Tap it into a area where alot of details or panel lines meet and let it flow all around them. Keep the wash thin too. If its too thick it wont flow well.
  9. The raptor may be all grand and great to some but they still cant keep the AIM 9series missiles from smacking the weapons bay bulkhead on the way out . Seeing that those weapons are my job im not looking forward to this overdeveloped ball of problems they call a fighter. The 15-E has enough problems of its own now this thing. BTW shouldnt this be in the acft super thread?
  10. Yeah down in the newmarket/ cambridge area we have blue for recycling, black for regular trash and brown for garden compost. I think thats why i laughed a little when that bin ate that guy. i have one of those black bins next to my door.
  11. Actually it is the Tantive IV in EPIII they just call it Tantive like Han calls his ship the Falcon.
  12. My neighbor blew up his wheelie bin last week after watching Dr WHO. H was drunk and had an extra skybird rocket. Poor brown bin jumped 5 feet off the ground before exploding. Funniest thing ever.
  13. Nanashino I know where the gun is on the 15 i work on the thing every day. Those vents are just to purge out gasses from the gun firing and allow airflow to cool it. Although the airframe is heavily redesigned it makes sense to not modify a panel if it works as it should. But in the line art above if a gun were to be installed there would be no rom for an actuating servo hence why the gun is deleted. I think the detail was left in for just that, detail.
  14. I think paint flaws in a subject like this make it all the more real looking. Ever seen a piece of construction equipment with perfect paint? I havnt either. I like the "nose" art you selected for it. Where did you get that?
  15. He didnt cover up the hase detail he just made it better. Now maybe Hase will consider making this variant. Excellent work ,I have been following this one for a while
  16. Thats the one. Im going to go out tomorrow if the light is good enough and get a lineup shot of my Tiger, Leo, T34/85 and Sturmgeschutz IV together and try to get some in action shots of some of them. The stug and 34 arent running at the moment since im cramming the more reliable tamiya tiger/sherman gearboxes in them.
  17. Looks like the gun is deleted enirely to make room for the hydraulic servos in the area the canard sits on. I think their call signs in the movie were Wizard and Priest. the nonexistent 16s were wyvern
  18. I found a 1/35 scale resin kit of the VBL with a full interior back in 02. I cant remember who made it though.
  19. Grayson These are worlds apart from the standard R/C vehicles. You have to build a gearbox in this one which uses one motor for fvd and rev and another for steering through a strange differential setup. Then there are the 14 tortion bars you have to clip into place for the road wheel suspension. All of the electrics and sounds are controlled through a DMD- TF-07 control unit. Other than that it is basically a big model kit. The area you have to be CAREFUL in is the fiberoptics for the lights. All the electric parts are basically plug n play. On this kit in particular all of the control gear and servos are in the turret the speaker box and gearbox are the only thing inside the lower hull. Another good thing Tamiya did to prolong gear life is to make the gears a water/grit proof assembly once its complete. These tanks can take a beating. My tiger has been through anything the real tank could take size for size, I havnt had a real opportunity to put the Leo through its paces. Jipe Thanks for the comment. This camo is difficult to paint and make look right. It has 5 different colors in it. Based on the jacket i own i used the following Tamiya paints Dark yellow,Nato Black, Nato Brown, German uniform grey,(sometimes called field grey) and Olive Drab. Base paint with the dark yellow and then add equal splotches of the other colors onto it. Make sure one color doesnt dominate the scheme. After the splotches are added go back with a fine point bursh and add dots of the colors all over the camo. There is no specific order to it but again make sure its even in distribution. After you have done that give all the folds in the uniform a wash of flat black to enhance the shadows and lightly drybrush with testors acryl Dark Tan. Sean P.S. A good reference guide to literally almost every Nato/UN country is the peacekeepers guide to bosnia. Its a 2 volume set with nothing but pics of armored vehicles, uniforms, and all sorts of weird equipment. Its where i found out about one of the neatest little french vehicles i have ever seen. The Panhard VBL. Look it up.
  20. You mean theres an episode of enterprise that is twisted enough to actually bother watching?(in UK so TV from the states is a little behind)
  21. Its a completely different style of movie compared to the first. I think people were just miffed because Arnold wasnt in it. I thought the movie was just fine.
  22. I think those are the 1/24 scale ones by a company called Mauri. They shoot BBs. A little too small for my taste. Thats the only R/C leopard aside from this one that i know of. Trust me i looked. There is a bootleg tiger that shoots BBs in 1/16 scale which is actually pretty decent and a Subcontracted 1/16 T34/85 from a company called WSN. The 34 is made using the trumpeter kit and runs quite well. The tanks im really on the hunt for are the early80s Leopard 1 and Gepard Flakpanzer by Tamiya. I hope they rerelease them soon since the king tiger and sherman are reissues it may be possible.
  23. Thanks Bhop I did paint the figure but didnt use the Tamiya paint guide its wrong. I used an actual German camo jacket with the Flektarn pattern on it. Im slowly getting these kits I hope they do an abrams next, or a challenger 2.
  24. It was the color of Goldfingers hair in the movie.I think it has been a while since i saw that particular bond flick
