Would you buy a 1/48 VF-1S TV Version?
nightmareB4macross replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Toys
Graham, please make it happen. -
The Macross toy you bought, that you're really just 'meh'

1/60 v.2 VF-1 series, I really expected a bit more than what it was. -
I love this thing. It's interesting to note that there are no screws used for any part of the construction process. It's pretty much a snap-fit kit. I really wish this could accomodate the T-Rex Zent. It would have been awesome as part of a great diorama piece.

whats the Smallest & Biggest macross toy ever produced?
nightmareB4macross replied to JET7's topic in Toys
Was it Arai or Reds who produced the large 1/24 scale static VF-1 Fighter? -
You should try to post a montage of "all that VF", Kurt style. That would be nice to see.

Your absolute favorite Macross toy you own...

1/48 VF-1A Super Hikaru a true hero. -
My 5 year old daughter and I love watching this animated show together. It's only a matter of time until this dissapears into obscurity, just like "the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack." Which I might add was another great show with soft wit and interesting characters.

Kurt, Awesome job as always! How many customs in 1/48 scale have you done to date???

Wow, this is the first time I can actually say I like the V2 1/60. Fantastic workmanship.

These look very similar to area I bought over year ago. Hands are available on line via ebay. Or you could search for CarPolyLee. There are two colors available, white and grey.

1/48 VF-1 Upgrade Engine & Repair Manipulators
Images added to a gallery album owned by nightmareB4macross in Macross Scratch Builds
Based off the design from the "VF-1 Variable Fighter Master File" Book. The Repair Manipulators are from the "Macross Deign Works" book. They also appear in SDF-M. -

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
nightmareB4macross replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
That VF-17 looks incredible. Can't wait to see the final colors selected. Graham, will the finish on this be matte or flat?? -
Those look pretty good. I like the red you chose on the Q-Rau. What color is it? Why not just try working on the Milia figure. "Practice makes perfect."

As seen in SDF-M, this will be the stripped down valkyrie hanging in the maintenance hangar. With a very slight variation of the version shown in the TV show, this one will be complete, full of lineart gimmicks, and completely transformable just like the lineart. Refernces from are variety of sources are being used, but due to the limits of retaining a strong and intact transformable valkyrie certain parts are not all that exact. More to come...

This is my personal opinion by the facts you have presented and my own willingness to buy. Good luck on you sales should you decide to sell these.

Graham, Those broken areas are just like those of the VF-0A/S. Would there really be any reason to bring this issue up to Yamato? The only thing they could do is move on an use different types of plastics. Would using POM for joints ever become an option? Sure, it might be a bit more expensive, but at least it would do the job well. Hopefully, Yamato can use this should they ever attempt make a revised version of the YF-19. BTW - Do the new VF-19(s) use this same material?? I would hate to think what future holds for these new releases. As it is, I have already come to the conclusion that no matter what Yamato product I buy, I am ready to accept the worst case scenario. Invest in PlaticWeld. It works.

Are respirators necessary when spraying outdoors?
nightmareB4macross replied to GU-11's topic in Model kits
Definitely, great advice. If you still feel you need some sort of protectant from the vapors, just use a dust mask with the well ventilated outdoors.
