    People see what they want to see..even (or especially) when it’s negative. Loved Godzilla growing up in the 70’s. Watched every new movie. The Anime rocks , I really like where they went with it. The newer movies went from ok to awesome. Very excited to see this on the big screen!

    Did some looking around.. @Valk009 had a thread going a few years back. Was selling a batch of these kits. I have no idea if they’re being made anymore. I also bought another from a fellow MW’er in the for sale thread some years back.. Maybe someone has a source for these? Or is willing to part with one of theirs..

    It’s ironic how many of us started out with RT and were inspired by it. But shortly afterwards discovered the SOURCE work Macross. And most of us never really looked back. Discovering Macross after RT was like enjoying my 8th grade history class and then discovering Howard Zinn’s A People’s History. I threw away my old history books and .. Nevertheless , I applaud your efforts to open such a discussion. Unfortunately, where would such a topic reside?? I don’t have any personal issue with the thread , but many will. Just try to understand why! I will say that even though RT, And Macross for that matter , were (and arguably still are) about selling toys and making money. But it was also about taking science fiction and certain themes into a new and creative direction. And of course there are stereotypes , archetypes and social issues , etc.present. It was written and created by humans! I understand that many westerners had(have?) easy access to RT , but these days Macross is not hard to get your hands on. And , I dare say, if you had approached this thread with the title Macross substituting RT in every instance, you would probably have gotten a lot more positive and participatory responses. If you had an understanding of the Macross universe to date , THIS would be an interesting discussion! But approaching it from an RT angle is maybe doomed here. I hope your discussion can stay alive somehow!

    Omg, THAT’s why! lol At this point , Macross could never touch the marketing mayhem Gundam has spread over the western world! And if they tried, macross would have to be Pokémon with singing, dancing , transforming....oh god no.. maybe we should be thanking HG... (blasphemy, I know, I know..)

    My statement was also in reference to 2019& 2020..or one of these years.. You stinker;) lol I figure they put the brakes for a few reasons. One may be that it would have seriously backlogged Bandai &co to produce more variations and hero schemes, I even doubt we would have gotten a compliment deaign this soon.

    Ok just a sec. Just rewatching some Delta , and just caught the part where Roid says Ketchup boy is the descendant of the legendary star singer..? Is this star singer the “true king” Rudanjal Rom Mayan? I must’ve missed this before when I first watched the series and was not feeling it. Is there any other references to this “legendary star singer?” This isn’t an M2 connection , is it? its also interesting to note that the 171 is still a main stay fighter

    Tempted by the VF-2.. I really like the scale of the HMR’s for display and stuffing into storage. Lol. The HMR VF-4 is a for sure. Always loved that design! It WAS the holy grail for a while back when Yamato produced it in 1/60. It’s still amongst my prized vaks. My evolution VF-2 on the other hand..not so loved. My Yammy VF-11c is nicer I think.

    Quite sneaky and , ultimately, annoying. back to our regular broadcast noob program.. About Frontier. So the Vajra bail (presumably to find another world to inhabit) out to parts unknown (?) and Alto goes with them, pulling an Ender-ish maneuver. Is it hinted or stated if they all went trans Galactic?
