    The expanded universe books were written before TFA. And a good deal of fans wished some of those plot lines would influence the new movies.. guess what. They didn't. (At least not to my satisfaction)

    Well Vader certainly had his share of blood on his hands. Even before he was Vader.. But the tone and direction of Kylo is certainly more of a whinny, beoch who's constantly trying to be as big and bad as grandpa..disappointing in a would be Sith, indeed.. My fears exactly. I will be using Jedi calming techniques while sitting in the theater...

    I hate to , but I agree. None of it had to do with race, or gender or self righteous scrutiny.. wah!! what are the Chances JJ is going to pull off ep 9 and save this out of control train wreck of a once beloved franchise..? I'll always be a fan but I won't always love what THEY'VE done to it.. going back now to re read the expanded universe and think of the good ole days..

    I agree completely. That's why a number of years later , IF she had her own squad and was an ace, it would be based on veteran experience and not out of the box talent. IMO..

    Who can guess the thoughts of the great floating head..? It will be interesting to see what happens in a few years.. Macross the First is a great retelling in Manga form. There's so many other stories that could be explored in the Macross universe.

    It seems they don't even need another series to keep the music going. with cross over concerts and new music even coming out of Frontier timeline, they could surely keep going with Walkure for a long time , I think.. but I do know Kowamori likes to keep going forward. (Was Zero a fluke??) and Surely some form of Walkure would be part of that. It would be great to see Mirage leading her own Valkyrie squad. Matured into the ace pilot of her lineage. IF they had to incorporate Delta in the new series.. I always felt Mirage was understated..

    I like it. Mostly the dialogue cracks me up. The mecha is cool and the animation is good (enough) Good for you SK San! Yes , yes, very stereo typical characters and anime themes. Maybe further on things will develope in a more interesting way without spinning out of control, or cohesion.. And, aftet a few episodes , I'm counting how many boob ( bouncing or not) shots there are of the princess. It's like counting lens flares from JJ's 1st Star Trek reboot! I had to smirk as THEY were our first look of her.

    I think some are just asking for better writing chí to be added to the mix and a better balance of action, song and story. Including less hollow character development. Than Delta, specifically. Anyone ( from the west) that's been watching Macross for more than one show is under no illusions about who they cater to. Even if there's a lot of bitching going on.

    It's the least they could do. Right? I imagine the local fans are about gobbling up some Walkure and very excited about this.

    Well the original announcement, which started this thread, DID say a new Tv series. I'm hoping this is independent from the new Delta movie announcement.

    What are the chances we're gonna see several new mechs outta this? or will we be going down the variant rabbit hole..?

    Hmm.. Potentially disastrous as far as resources going into an all new series and story arc.. Walkure is obviously the cash cow they've all been praying for.
