1. I think they're both pretty kickin' . Props to Yamato for doing something new.
2. Am I on drugs or did Jung also make a Desert Hex Camo Blue Roses a little while back? Edit - found it and the pictures are still online! Bonus! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9675&hl=
3. Think Wicked Ace's other Sundowners hasn't been put up online - http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...0&hl=sundowners
4. Anyone know of a shop that's accepting pre-orders for this badboy? Normally I'd go with Valk-EX but it's no longer. TMPanime is sold out. Neova's store isn't pre-ordering yet. Any ideaS?
5. Oh yeah. I totally meant why 'newer' (post 1980) American cars suck (or appear to suck). I'm a big 'classic' muscle fan. I just don't see much of that on the road anymore. I do applaud Detroit for some of their recent efforts (Mustang, Charger) but I think it's too little too late.
6. Hmm... I'd like to throw my $.02 into the 'why American cars blow' debate. So I live in Los Angeles, where cars are an 'accurate' measurement of one's idiocy. I can't remember how many times back in the day when someone would walk up to me (I used to be a bank teller) with a MBZ and a Lexus key on their keychain and have a negative account balance. Anway, most American 'cars' (not talking about SUVs) have a horrible reputation. Not for breaking down, not for being stupid looking, but for being so..... what's the internet word I'm looking for? 'Meh' Now you take the retro look Mustangs and Chargers. Those bad boys look good. However, every stupid fricken poseur kid drives a Mustang in this damned town. I am a Mustang fan (if ya'll remember the car I let you you'll know what I'm talking about) and I totally dig the new Mustang. Would I ever drive one? Sure. Do I know one fricken person that wants one? No. Now the older Mustangs were mad sellers and produced like crazy. I'm sure it too suffered from over-exposure. However, these days most American 'cars' are so 'meh' whenever I see one I think 'that's a rental car'. Hmm.. kind of an odd rant, but I think American cars (at least out where I am in crazy Los Angeles) suffer from a 'been there, done that, rented that car' persona.
7. I dig it! Cool decal set and paint scheme.
8. As far as I know, he usually makes waterslide decals.
9. I thought I'd put a shark mouth on it with a note that it was removed fairly early on because to quote one pilot "no one wants to drive a robot with a mouth on it's crotch." 359138 Brings new meaning to Bite me !! 359262 Yeah but check out the bitchin' heat-shield http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=17252
10. I've heard it's never too late to go back... but I gotta say from your writing here alone I think you could at least skip a couple grades. 361123 Ah my writing here is good because my wife is a High School English teacher. In ~ 13 years hopefully I'll be in one of her classes.
11. Mostly Star Wars -- Gentle Giant and Kotobukiya crap. And pre-school.
12. I work for the Internets as a Software QA Engineer. Don't be evil
13. Right on Kurt! Looks tasty.
14. Sorry.. can't comment on the fire valks but awesome icon!
15. Ah! Custom made decals are the way to go. I tried forever to make the F-14 ones work but could not get them to look right. You had me wondering how the hell you got them to work. Very, very nice! 354234 You may be able to Ping Anazasi to see if he still has copies to print up if you want to re-do them.
16. Agreed. WTF is winging? Do I need to talk to my wife about it?
17. Someone should re-label this as a tease-thread until pics are posted!
18. Hmm.. I remember in the 'hey-day' some people on eBay were asking $450+! Not that $350 is a good deal but it's not that bad considering the market fluctuations we've seen on limited Valks.
19. Hmmm.. I'm no car guru but I do know that a lot of Hondas in the 90s had really bad electrical systems. If the fuse has blown out this quickly, it could be a short right? Finding shorts can be a major pain in the ass as the short could be anywhere in the car. Has the car been in any accidents? Does the battery charge OK? Does it sometimes drain if not used? The accident thing may have messed up the wiring a bit. Or, does it have an alarm? My friend had a '96 Accord that went bonkers because of the alarm. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
20. Yeah I thought that was the case too! It's nice to have her back. Now give her a mohawk!
21. jeebus christ.. you a millionare or something? X3 and an S4? last I checked the S was going for $60k+ and the RS4 was going for about $20k on top of that.. glad to see someone else on the forum has an audi though. i've got a lowly A4 and kinda like it... VAG cars are about as unreliable as they come and i've had a ton of problems with my A4 but you've got a brand new car so you should be fine.. just don't keep it after the lease or the warranty runs out Audi's are great alternatives to snobby beemers.. little more "low key" but just as nice. if you like AWD more than RWD the S4 is just as good as an M3.. the RS4 being even better IMHO. enjoy your new car- just get rid of that nasty front plate and get a Euro frame! next you'll need e-code headlights to get rid of those orange corners and some RS4 parts... the modding never ends.. love those alcantara seats too.. glad to see they still put that stuff in the S4's. the fine subtlies of the european sports car is something these ricer kids will never know.. you should get an RS4 wheel too... same one as the Gallardo. track down some of the carbon trim too. Well, I got the S4 for 54 before taxes and titles. I'd have loved to go for an RS4 but it won't be out for a little bit and it's out of my price range. The A4 is a good car and (from what I've heard) they have ironed out a bit of the reliability issues.... what year is yours? I was told that Audi is going to start offering an extended warranty next year so I'll probably buy that when they offer it. I don't expect to get a new car after this (unless this one is a total lemon). I thought about the 5 series but the are a bit too 'snobby' for me... thankfully the X3 is a little more subtle. I do hate how MB and BMW have horrible interfaces. I'm not down with the iDrive and good grief, our X3 seems like a dinosaur compared to the S4 ( interior wise ). I'm thinking of ordering the front-filler piece and throwing on our X3's Euro-delivery plates on the front. Though in CA that might be a good excuse for the police to harass me. Thinking about it, I should have gotten an S4 Avant instead of the X3 (for the wife). Such is life and no real complaints (as the X3 is a good rig too).
22. Hah Hah.. .awesome! There should be another Sundowner custom coming to this board soon. This too was an older-project that recently got life again.
23. Heh... interesting looking car but nothing really unique stands out about it. Perhaps I'm a bit jaded with super cars these days but a lot of them tend to start clumping together. With the exception of the Porsches you'll often not know what you're looking at (could be a Ferarri, Lambo, Aston). With a Porsche you'll always know based on the lines. Note - I'm not a super car buff hence my 'clumping' of Ferarris, Lamborghinis and Astons together. I do think the interior is cool looking (minus the phallic shifter).
24. The Audi S4 is great.....great performance car with 4 doors so the family can ride along. I got 2 car seats at the back of my C55 AMG. 348202 Yeah I was looking at the C55s too but the boss (wife) has 'issues' with MBs so that idea was nixed. After deciding that it'd be foolish to get a used M5 I basically chose between the S4 and the IS350. I dig on the IS350 but the manual transmission on the S4 sold me.
