1. Go back and steal it. 348029 will you help me sell it on the black market? 348046 We'll just grind off the VIN number, cut a different one from a wreking yard. 348048 Eh, that wouldn't work as the VIN is one of the keys for older Shelby's. I imagine if you even found a Shelby shell to grab the VIN it'd be more than a few thousand. Best bet would be to black market it or sell it overseas! Anyway, to add something constructive to this thread, I sold This baby for This new one. I know a lot dig on the classic and it was a great car but I can't put car seats in the damned thing!
2. Hmm. Am I the only person that thought this was going to be a 2hr episode? The trailler for this episode (shown last week) indicated it as such.
3. I don't know if you consider this as good news or bad news. But I'm not liking what the article says about a '67 Mustang Fastback... Ugh.. that Mustang looks horrible. I really hate a lot of those resto-mods as much as I hate cars Powered by Mugen. Speaking of which, I put a deposit down on an IS350 last weekend. Because of the idiotic way that Lexus deals with allocation, I can't search inventory across other dealerships (like BMW allows) and will have to get my car built. This isn't a problem as I'm looking for a not-so common package but the catch is that I have to wait til other people build similar cars before mine is built. Now that's lame! Anway, my expected delivery date is Feb 20th! I guess I'll be a Forester guy for a few more months.
4. Nice K there! I'm in the process of selling mine (1965 Mustang 2+2). Great engine there. You'll have fun.
5. Yeah they have gone up like crazy though I don't know if it was based on the remake of gone in 60 seconds. I think it helped but I do wonder if all classic cars have seen a revival which parallels the 'retro' look that Detroit is going with (started by the bug perhaps)? The car I have is basically the closest you can get to a Shelby while spending less than $75K. Shelby's have skyrocketed and the 'K Code' Mustang uses (basically) the same engine as the 65/66 Shelby's. My dad has a '67 390 fastback which blows this one away (though I prefer the 65/66 body style). Anyway, we'll see if there are any buyers. The guy that worked on the car think I can get more but we'll see.
6. I was thinking of getting an AB custom but I've got some other ideas that I'd like to see through first. I'd be interested in seeing what you do/get done.
7. A7 - thanks. If we get together to take pics, it may have to be with my dad's (67 '390 fastback) as I'm trying to sell this one. I'll miss it but hopefully something will come up that 'eases' the loss.
8. Is that yours? Looks lik a gorgeous car, I've never seen that paint scheme before. The grey and red looks very cool. 338664 Yeah, it's mine. The paint is quite an original color (Silver Smoke Grey) and was the color the car came in. It is supposed to have Black interior but I had red put in when I was expecting to keep it for a long time. Alas, life happens and things change. I'm aiming for a 4-door sedan (can put kids in it) that has ~ 469 HP or so.
9. Well, speaking of Mustangs I thought I'd throw this one out there since it makes more sense here than in the 'For Sale' forums.... 1965 K Code for sale . Regarding the Saleens, I think with the new body style they are a lot better 'looking' though I haven't really driven one yet so I can't comment on performance. I do like panaromic sun-roofs but I too would worry about the integrity of the car. I wouldn't buy one but if you want a performance car and must by American, I guess the Saleens and Vettes aren't bad choices.
10. I'd have to say these horrible toys look worse than Go-bots.
11. Right on Kurt. Was this a comissioned piece?
12. Dang... I go away for a few months and MWC5 occurs. Very cool fellas! Dig the cake too!
13. Agh... see what happens when you don't login for a while! That's a great piece of work. Would have loved to add it to my collection.
14. For you football fans out there ... need a kicker?
15. I loved the first one. My wife is currently playing KOTOR II while I toil away on our PC playing Pirates! and WoW. I plan on diving into KOTOR II when it's released on the PC (we'll have two versions in our house) as the load times in the 1st one drove me insane.
16. Dude, you have serious issues. I wasn't whning and if any thread should have been closed/moved it was this one. After going through the 2 pages it was, it's clear that people weren't reading posts (regarding the placeholder idea of these auctions). Closing the thread would have avoided more meaningless posts about this 'scalper'. Obviously, you care about this as you've made it a point to be a complete assclown about this. You tell me to 'go away'. Why should I? You posted in a public forum and I wasn't thread crapping by suggesting it be closed. I too prefer not to deal with whiney tools but I also don't like dealing with asshats with horrible attitudes.
17. you a mod? stfu then. What's your problem man? I simply suggested that these auctions were actually place-holders and a parallel thread has been going on in the Auctions forum. I am obviously not a mod or I'd have closed the thread instead of suggesting it should be closed. How long have you posted on internet message boards? Having people recommend that your thread should be closed is something we all have to go through at one point or another. It's like the first time you get dumped. It sucks and you want to lash out but eventually you learn how to deal with it.
18. This thread should probably be closed. It's been established already that these guys are placeholders for something else.
19. Chowser - you going to be online? My xbox gamertag is fearyaks. We should Halo it sometime.

Latest custom 1/48

I dig the work Kurt. Looks good!
21. uggg makes me wanna puke, crap dude i remember seeing that picture a couple of years ago, i had forgot about it untill now thanks for disturbing my delicate mind again dude Ugh crap. I remember seeing that what... three years ago and it being burned into my minds eye for a month or so. At least it wasn't goatscx'd.
22. I would go for a 1/48 or a Bandai re-issue. The 1/60s look great but can be a total pain to transform. If he's 26, he may remember the 'ol swing-bar and appreciate it more.
23. The problem is that we all remember the unlicensed games and with the exception of Cyberball, they were nothing compared to Tecmo Bowl and the earlier Maddens (with real players). It is a lot more fun playing as Favre or Owens, seeing their faces and hearing the commentators discuss them than playing as 'generic' #4 or 'generic' #81. The thing that really sucks is that Visual Concepts was just getting the ball rolling with the casual gamers. Oh well, here's for another 5 years of mediocrity. Didn't Tecmo Bowl only have team names, not player names? Yes, they did... but as I understand, according to the licensing deal that EA made with the NFL, only EA gets players, stadiums, and TEAMS. So not even the Tecmo Bowl formula would fly now. I'm just saying, it's proof that real player names aren't needed, as that was insanely popular, and remains what many consider the definitive football game. Sounds good to me. Well the Tecmo Bowl I played (perhaps it was Super Tecmo Bowl) on the NES had player names. Bo Jackson and Lawrence Taylor tore that game up. Jerry Rice and Roger Craig weren't too bad either.
