  1. Depends on the size I think. Smaller is cheaper and they probably know that.
  2. Winter soldier is much, much better than 3 and 4. GOG is pretty overrated in terms of plot. Thor was pretty bad too... 2 is a bit more fun but whew. I don't think there are enough good ones to rank 10...If you have to reach into the Hulk movies you're reaching. Maybe a top 5 haha. I'd say: 1. Avengers 2. Winter Soldier 3. Iron Man 1 (or 2) (I personally like 2 better than 1.) 4. GOG 5. AOU Though I haven't seen Antman. After watching Daredevil and the Flash... I just don't think films are a good home for super hero graphic stories compared to TV. You just do not get to tell enough of a story - even when it spans 10-12 movies like the above. The movie makers keep going back and treading the same ground because they don't trust audiences to be smart enough to know who each person is and what they are doing. Like with Tony Stark. He's been in 5 or 6 movies which is about 12 hours of film and we still don't know that much about him, or his family, or his motivations. We know he's good at making stuff. And he's witty and stuff... but they never really developed who he is beyond some paranoia and fear. They never went into his Alchie past, or the subtle traits that would lead to Civil War. They just cover it up with a lame love interest to Pepper Pots. Which is my point. And what RLM mentions about Antman - they shoehorn in romances and things that the marketing tells them they have to have instead of really laying out the story. Shrug. These movies are fun as big spectacle, but watching a character like Matt Murdock develop over his first season, or Barry Allen cover SO MUCH ground in his show... Movies are just not cutting it anymore for graphic story telling. The ideal would be a show that rolls up into a movie, so you could have the big Hollywood treatment for a finale, but that would be hard to get done.
  3. RedLetterMedia liked it. Said it had an 80's vibe and it was more of a heist movie with a fun ending sequence. I probably won't go see it in the theater, but I'll get around to watching it.
  4. Got their work cut out for them. You can't just crap out a John Hughes movie btw - even he made a couple really, really bad films haha. The kid doesn't look anything like Parker to me, but whatever works.
  5. Glad to see you having fun with your piece.
  6. http://watchersonthewall.com/yes-kit-harington-is-in-belfast-again-irish-actor-joins-the-cast-of-game-of-thrones/ Things are already coming unraveled. Spotting of Kit in belfast.
  7. Finished up the Flash last night. Definitely a really great experience. The writing on the show is top notch, and all the story telling and development was fantastic. After watching this and Daredevil, I have to say that I think TV is a better medium for graphic stories than Movies. You just can't get this depth of development in movies, even movies strung together like the Avengers films, due to the way Hollywood treats audiences like they are toddlers. Also, coming in fresh on the Flash was really nice, since I never really read it as a kid. I vaguely remembered Firestorm and Grodd, but it was all new territory for me. The reverse flash is great. I think Tom Cavanagh and Jesse Martin put in some of the best comic story acting I can remember. Great stuff.
  8. I'm fine with them taking as long as they want. I'm in no rush to spend more money haha
  9. My problem with Hot Toys is that the "playability" isn't really up to snuff and neither is the quality. You can't really do dynamic poses... you bend the arms and the legs a bit and that's it, not to mention how restrictive the costumes are. So it's a conundrum for me. They look pretty good, though I'd say most of the face sculpts are hit or miss, and I used to think HT was better than a statue... but not so much anymore. You're really paying for a decent sculpt and the clothing. Then the quality isn't that great. Some of the mech and suit stuff is good and has great detail, but it's really fragile, and you can't really pose it. It's expensive.. but the value isn't there for me. They don't push the development of new articulation enough, and they release a new version every six months, usually slightly better than the old on in sculpt. I just didn't enjoy collecting HT's or owning them. I never picked them up and I felt instantly bored with them.
  10. Masterpiece Ironhide, who was shown off in a presentation at the Transformers Expo Taipei.
