    I don't see it as an investment, but I do see it as having value. I want to be able to get my money back out, or most of it, if I need to. I can either put it back into my collection or take the money with me. It's hard to guess which piece will be "rare" and worth a lot in a years time, or 10 years time, so in that sense it's total speculation. There are some hints and guidelines that would make sense, but it's all guess work. You just have to be willing to hold on to stock for a long time, and you have to be willing to keep your ear to the ground and know when to sell. Imagine if you hoarded Bandai Chunky monkeys and had no idea they re-issued them. Now you're stuck with items that will never be worth what they were. Thats why they say buy low and sell high. haha. At any rate, it is a hobby, but it's a serious hobby. Part of the fun of collecting for me is the hunt. Finding it cheap, and then selling it later for something I might want more. I know people get addicted to buying and having something "new" show up all the time. I'm past that for sure.

    Impressive haul man! I wish I had a garage to store things in haha. That's one reason I never hoard and rarely get more than one to display... the way toys are constantly redesigned every few years, you might loose a lot of value in one piece. I guess it comes from running a comic shop with my folks back in the day. They ordered too much and we had to close it down. They still have a basement full of comic dead stock that's really hard to sell because people buy TPB's or read online now. I hate having *stuff* unless I can utilize it in some way. I love selling old shoes, coats, and things I don't need. That hoarding show on tv is the scariest thing in the world to me haha More room for two boxes My rules for collecting: 1. If you don't love it, don't buy it. 2. If you don't have room to display it, don't buy it. 3. If it's not a good price, don't buy it.

    Yeah, it was pretty ridiculous. I guess they were mad that I could afford an original MP-08x, and that I got my money back. People over there seem to thrive on hating on "scalpers".... who is anybody that can afford to buy more than one hasbro. Try to give people some good information and that's what you get. Some of the AE's weren't loose, so you had a 50/50 chance haha. Or at least some people reported they weren't... Full disclosure I paid $500 for my mp08x MISB. I sold him for $549 on ebay to a local guy who really wanted a first printing. It's not like I made a mint. After fees and shipping I made my money back. I didn't mind paying $500, and I did a lot of work hunting down and importing him, but after all the KO's and re-issues... it's just not special to me anymore in the same way. I'm the kind of collector who loves rare, unique, and diverse pieces. I'd rather just have half my money back to buy other things. Putting it up for auction as soon as I found out is just knowing "the game" in my mind. People are doing it now with VF-0's and YF-19's. I also believe that a rework of MP-08 is around the corner. I think a lot of this is HasTak trying to fight KO's. Fighting for American transformer dollars for people at the $50 dollar range. I think they see all the 3rd party dino dollars and a new version will be announced soon.

    Well it had tighter feet than my old Takara 1st run haha. Pretty much identical to the Tak release other than the stand.

    As for Mp-10, Technically the Takara re-issue from last year with that crappy stand was the original colors. It was about $50 bucks more expensive though. Also, Grimlock is up on the Tru site if you want to drop $80 bucks.     I think most people agree the human element was lacking.. but in the end I don't care much. That's not what I paid to see... and honestly a lot of the Godzilla movies have crap acting and terrible human plot lines. I'd say if you judge to to any Heisei or Millenium movie the acting is slightly above average in terms of the human element, save for maybe G vs MechaG, G 2000, or GMK. They all have decent to good acting and plots.

    I paid $100 even for my red alert. Well worth IMO. I heard rumors he was going to be re-issued last christmas though ... not sure on how true this is or not.

    Comparison between the Takara re-issue from late last year, and the Hasbro reissue. Looks like you get: 1. Lighter plastic 2. Greenish neck and chest parts. 3. Tail issues 4. Loose hips. Is it worth $60 bucks? I guess so if you don't have one. I feel like a new Takara Grimlock is around the corner just to fight back the 3rd parties and Ko's.

    I don't think the X-men stuff sells very well for Hot Toys. I know the last wolverine figure they made is on sale at HLJ.

    Wow.. that Metroplex looks 100x more appealing than the official 2 footer. Actually looks like the old toy with modern articulation.

    I'm not enough of a prime collector to want it. It would be cool to see all the prime MP repaints lined up one day. I kind of want the Bape though just because I have a Camo fetish.
