They are suppose to look as old as they are now. haha I think it's refreshing that they are using the same actors even if they are aged, and playing them as that age. Usually movies just reboot or do CGI. Make the world feel more real and lived in than anything.

1,4000 is a lot cheaper than I thought. I remember BBTS had this guy for 300 bucks when the news first broke. Silly stuff. I'm sure this will be a Hasbro release too. I've never bought from Anime export. I bought from Robot japan when there was a fake scare on tigertrack. Shipping wasn't crazy.. but I'm not big on paying up front or not being able to cancel an order. $80 bucks is insane. I still think the robot mode isn't a great representation of the show, or the toy so I might cancel. The forearms just kill it..... the stacks and arms are just too thick to look like the classic UM. Also the body is boxy vertically, instead of horizontally .. if that makes sense. He's bulking in the wrong way. The shoulders come down too far as well and hide his bicep area. Somebody else mentioned the butt flap area that looks pretty weak. Kibble? Seriously? It just looks like flaps of plastic laying on something else. It's close, but it looks like a 3rd party or KO almost. I don't know if this is the influence of the new guy.. but I'm not impressed.- 17117 replies

I got my rand for $170 and it's seem to appreciated to $250ish-300ish on the bay. I considered selling mine for a time but it really is a cool piece. I suggest you get in there and spend and afternoon transforming it. You'll feel you got your moneys worth. -

Well I think it was keeping up with the demands of drawing, and not having all the technical skill that he should have had. He hid feet and hands with smoke and boarders. And he drew really weird proportions. Anyway, Don't want to hijack- 17117 replies

Cool pic. He was around during the big boom of comics in the 90's. Variant hologram covers, trading cards, and all manner of other crap. Comics were selling like nuts. Mcfarlane, Liefeld, Lee and some others branched off from Marvel and did Image comics. They basically did their own crappy versions of marvel and DC heros. This is where Spawn came from. Anyway, Liefeld got started in X-factor and people seemed to love his work, which started out decent. But the more he drew the more shortcuts he took. He is pretty much the gold standard for lazy comic book art and 90's excess. Buckles. Ammo pouches. Silly techno guns with no real rhyme or reason. He drew up Cable and Deadpool, actually.- 17117 replies

Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in theaters April 4, 2014
Gakken85 replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Iron man is different. He created the technology and he's linked to it in various ways through the years. When he deals with other people using his technology it's usually a plot point. My point is that Iron man can fly around, adapt, and engage dynamically while not worrying about being harmed. Falcon is a fleshy pulp waiting to happen.- 210 replies

Gakken85 replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No, I'm complaining about the effectiveness of Falcon, or what role he would actually play. I found it a bit silly that he was dodging auto-machine gun fire from a jet. The character was fine, in a buddy cop sort of way. They really missed a chance for a nice callback when the winter soldier appeared on the bridge and Falcon was pew-pewing bad guys. He could have called out to cap, "ON YOUR LEFT!" So sad. haha- 210 replies
