  1. I agree that the Imai canopy is totally hot.
  2. Seriously, $20,000 coulda bought a whole lotta pooty.
  3. I thought the Toynami Alpha looked great and made a number of improvements on the Imai model (except maybe for the canopy).
  4. Is this old news? Ontario man builds real-life female android
  5. Exactly why they're so stupid. They've been selling this crap for years; don't they know how much it costs yet? I'm not criticizing their price -- I'm criticizing them for a bait and switch. They should have advertised the correct price from the start. Pretty funny that I knew you'd be the next post. You can always be counted on to defend HG's bullshit.
  6. Why quit complaining? When you point out flaws, you might convince others not to buy as well. Plus, it's very cathartic.
  7. Bwa hahaha! What a god damned joke! Like HG doesn't know what price Toynami is charging. They're either liars or complete idiots. Protostar8, I think HG is the worst company on Earth. Toynami is just bad by association.
  8. I got a better idea for a poll: Are japanese toy collectors suckers? I actually don't mind the prices if the toy is "accurate" enough and it doesn't fall apart. Yamato fails to satisfy these requirements quite often. So do Bandai and CM. So does Toynami.
  9. Nah, it doesn't come close to the awesomeness that is Lazy Town. Plus, I think Stephanie has taught me the meaning of moƩ.
  10. What. The hell was that? Needs more Sportacus.
  11. Haha, glad you like it. How cool to work at Nickelodeon! Yeah, I've never heard of Lazy Town until that video...but damn it seems like a cool show! I checked out some more Lazy Town music videos on youtube and they're really cute. Way better than Barney or Teletubbies. And the music is actually pretty catchy. Finally a show parents can watch with kids without wanting to kill themselves.
  12. Tiny vertical stabs ruin it for me. I thought we were passed this sort of thing, Yamato.
  13. I will. Hey, anyone remember Cause & Effect? Here's another link. It's bad. Really bad. You've been warned!
  14. Information Society? Damn, I only know one song of theirs ("What's on Your Mind"). So they're not just a one-hit-wonder? Except for Erasure and A-Ha, I don't really keep track of my favorite 80's bands' new stuff. I usually think the new stuff sucks anyway. Although A-ha's latest album has one song I really like called "All I want." The singer from Erasure recently released a solo song called "Crazy" that's really good too. New Order had a great song in 2005 called "Jet Stream Lover". I don't know about Depeche Mode. I think the last song they made that I liked was "Enjoy the Silence." EDIT: I've been listening to a lot lately. Explicit lyrics! If you're not at work, you should find it pretty hilarious.
  15. You love Mospeada and all my favorite bands? Damn, why can't I know people like you in real life?
  16. The two I mentioned earlier; the Jet Blowgun from Gall Force and the hoverbike/robo-bird from Genesis Survivor Gaiarth.
  17. So you're not counting hover bikes then? Anyway, that is a huge list. I can't wait to see this website.
  18. Ahh crap. Even from Gaiarth? You're good. Sorry about getting your hopes up. Okay, what about Johnny from Chrono Trigger? Doesn't transform into armor, but still worth a mention.
  19. Gall Force has a transforming hoverbike designed by Shinji Aramaki's friend Hideki Kakinuma. It's called the Jet Blowgun. Genesis Survivor Gaiarth features a hoverbike that transforms into an ostrich-like robot. You can see some tiny pictures here. Designed by Shinji Aramaki. You probably already know about Moto-Bisar from Am Driver.
  20. Yikes. By the way, Roger, I just watched some Tekkaman Blade. From now on, I read your name in the deep, robotic voice of Pegas. Ravenhawk, I bet I can tell you about some transforming bikes that you've never seen before. Enough to keep your site going after you've run out of ideas.
  21. Since Mospeada seems to be such a hot topic around here, I figured I'd make a new topic for this so nobody misses it. This is a legit DVD box set for the price of a bootleg, folks. You won't find a better deal than this. Linky If you also want to pick up Southern Cross, you might want to get the new bundle instead (it has both): Southern Cross/Mospeada Bundle
  22. That would be my guess as well. Yamato sure does one thing right: they make toys with no ugly gaps. Everything is flush and looks to fit together perfectly. If only they would go to the guy who came up with the 1/48 swingbar transformation and have him come up with a way to get longer tailfins stowed in the legs. Someone did a real nice computer animation to show that it's possible. And what's with the wide-hipped, bowl-legged battroid mode?
  23. As usual, the meta-complainers blow the moderate criticisms out of all proportion.
  24. Same here. I was excited as hell about the two seaters. But this is extremely disappointing. Looks like I'll be saving money.
