  1. I think more of us had a problem with how obnoxious you were being about it. Since some reputable stores had preorders for around $80, some of us were willing to believe that maybe the Beta would be all plastic, or perhaps Toynami made a deal with Aoshima that would diffuse the tooling or manufacturing costs. I pre-ordered because it was chance to get it for $80, even though I doubted it would really happen. It would be stupid to not take a bet where you can only win or break even. I was personally annoyed that, instead of joining with us in a chance to geta good deal, you decided to mock us, and the fact that you contaced the store just proves that you have nothing better to do 'bot-block us.
  2. Holy crap, I remember that song from Nineteen 19! Oh yeah...1)Boobs are good, and 2)That song is not bad. But thanks. Now I know where that song is from.
  3. Yeah, but that's a total garbage and untrue excuse. Lots of toys have tiny hinges. Look at the Toynami 1/100 -- it didn't have parts-forming tail fins. It had hinges. What's really stupid is the idea that the tail fins on the VF-25 have to be parts-formed because the hinges would be too small, when the base of the tail fins are these big-ass tubes that could have a circular hinge so easily built in!
  4. I don't think you understand the implications of being designed in CAD. It means there isn't any anime magic in terms of proportions changing to make transformation possible.
  5. Yeah, same old pics we've been seeing for months.
  6. I prefer "Perfect Transformation Loverist". I'm gonna have to agree with you. Although the 1/100 does look better than the 1/60 in my opinion. But it's still a lame-ass parts former. How many parts are there? 12? I could have done it in two: FIGHTER AND BATTROID. Okay, 3 with Gerwalk. Wow, such a pessimist. This valk was designed with CAD. If any valk could be done in 1/100 with PT, it's this one.
  7. I found out about the Fire Bomber concert that happened last summer (I think?) after it happened. I probably would have booked a trip to Japan for that show if I had known about it early enough to get tickets. It's geeky, but I'm sorry, that music rocks. Plus, it's an excuse to go to Japan again.
  8. Any idea when we're gonna get the complete, original Gunbuster OAV on Blu-ray? Enough of this half-of-one-show-half-of-another bullshit.
  9. I've recently found that I really like the Killer's "When you were young". I guess I'm a couple years behind. I checked out some other songs of theirs on Youtube but they weren't as good. "Human" was okay though.
  10. I agree that the Imai canopy is totally hot.
  11. Seriously, $20,000 coulda bought a whole lotta pooty.
  12. I thought the Toynami Alpha looked great and made a number of improvements on the Imai model (except maybe for the canopy).
  13. Is this old news? Ontario man builds real-life female android
  14. Exactly why they're so stupid. They've been selling this crap for years; don't they know how much it costs yet? I'm not criticizing their price -- I'm criticizing them for a bait and switch. They should have advertised the correct price from the start. Pretty funny that I knew you'd be the next post. You can always be counted on to defend HG's bullshit.
  15. Why quit complaining? When you point out flaws, you might convince others not to buy as well. Plus, it's very cathartic.
  16. Bwa hahaha! What a god damned joke! Like HG doesn't know what price Toynami is charging. They're either liars or complete idiots. Protostar8, I think HG is the worst company on Earth. Toynami is just bad by association.
  17. I got a better idea for a poll: Are japanese toy collectors suckers? I actually don't mind the prices if the toy is "accurate" enough and it doesn't fall apart. Yamato fails to satisfy these requirements quite often. So do Bandai and CM. So does Toynami.
  18. Nah, it doesn't come close to the awesomeness that is Lazy Town. Plus, I think Stephanie has taught me the meaning of moƩ.
  19. What. The hell was that? Needs more Sportacus.
  20. Haha, glad you like it. How cool to work at Nickelodeon! Yeah, I've never heard of Lazy Town until that video...but damn it seems like a cool show! I checked out some more Lazy Town music videos on youtube and they're really cute. Way better than Barney or Teletubbies. And the music is actually pretty catchy. Finally a show parents can watch with kids without wanting to kill themselves.
  21. Tiny vertical stabs ruin it for me. I thought we were passed this sort of thing, Yamato.
  22. I will. Hey, anyone remember Cause & Effect? Here's another link. It's bad. Really bad. You've been warned!
  23. Information Society? Damn, I only know one song of theirs ("What's on Your Mind"). So they're not just a one-hit-wonder? Except for Erasure and A-Ha, I don't really keep track of my favorite 80's bands' new stuff. I usually think the new stuff sucks anyway. Although A-ha's latest album has one song I really like called "All I want." The singer from Erasure recently released a solo song called "Crazy" that's really good too. New Order had a great song in 2005 called "Jet Stream Lover". I don't know about Depeche Mode. I think the last song they made that I liked was "Enjoy the Silence." EDIT: I've been listening to a lot lately. Explicit lyrics! If you're not at work, you should find it pretty hilarious.
  24. You love Mospeada and all my favorite bands? Damn, why can't I know people like you in real life?
  25. The two I mentioned earlier; the Jet Blowgun from Gall Force and the hoverbike/robo-bird from Genesis Survivor Gaiarth.
