  1. Sorry Roger, I guess we all forgot that YOU own the copyrights to all Mospeada artwork. Ha ha ha ha!
  2. Just for the record, I didn't buy the Legioss & Tread because of the crappy link-up and the butt-ugly Legioss (big gaps, knees out to the wingtips in fighter mode, tiny intakes, vertical slabs showing in link-up, etc). I would have paid the high price were it not for those things.
  3. Geez, I'm so glad Roger is here to tell us how amusing we are. You know, I'd like to enumerate the ways Roger contributes around here: 1) Telling us how dumb we are 2) Telling stores not to honor our preorder prices 3) Illegally copying anime art for himself and holding it ransom instead of sharing it with the fan community. Asking others to take down pictures of said artwork when it surfaces. What an upstanding member of our community. I'm so glad we amuse him.
  4. I dunno, I was looking at it last night and I think it could go up two more millimeters or so. But yeah, it's stupid the way the front fuselage is already pushed up so high on the one seaters, since it doesn't leave extra room for the 1D's bigger fuselage.
  5. Exactly, that canopy would work better for the VT-1 or even VE-1, but not for the 1D. If they only extended the fusealge back like 2mm it could still hide behind the chestplate in battroid mode. Then they could add that 2 mm to the canopy. That would make a huge difference to me.
  6. You guys really have trouble with the intake covers? Mine pop off easy. I just use my thumbs to slide them off. Sometimes they pop off accidently when I'm transforming.
  7. And it's not even about the line-art. It's about the design. Whether you're talking about the animation, the previous 1/60 toy, or the models, the VF-1D's canopy is always longer. Come on Yamato, don't screw this up.
  8. My valk boner is at half mast right now due to the pics of the new VF-1D. Hopefully it's just a mockup because the canopy needs to be longer than the other valks' or it's just not a 1D. My valk chubby was seriously throbbing before I saw that though. At least my Hikky 1J woody is still rock hard.
  9. So are you guys really giving this thing a pass as-is? The canopy is completely wrong. It's like they didn't even try. Yamato, please push back this release until it's done right!
  10. It's not lengthened, they just changed the shape a bit. One of the bottom edges is longer and another is shorter. Same overall length. I love how we all heard that Yamato designed the new 1/60 with two seaters in mind. More like they designed the new 1/60 with destroying the possibility of accurate two seaters in mind, because with the front fuselage/torso pushed up so high in battroid, there's no room for an extended nose and canopy for the 1D. Yeah, I'm pissed about the short canopy. I think it's just a mock up so far, so I remain hopeful that they elongate the canopy at least a few millimeters. Otherwise it's just lazy. The canopy on the prototype we've just seen is not extended forward or backwards, but it should extend backwards according to the VF-1D design. Not sure if that answers your question.
  11. Yes, it's the "windshield" so to speak. Did you guys notice the head on the 1D is actually a 1A head? Or at least it looks like it, with the one long laser.
  12. Nice find David. But the new 1D is weak. I can't believe they didn't even make the canopy longer, which is the only thing that makes the 1D special. What was this crap about designing the new 1/60 line with two-seaters in mind? They coulda crammed two seats into the 1/48 if they wanted too. Look at your 1/48s and you'll see that the pilots are sitting just as far forward as the pilots in the new 1/60. I'm hoping this is just a mock-up to show the paint job and pilots. There's no way I can be satisfied with this, especially since the Roy 1S is so perfect.
  13. Wait just a darn minute. What is this?
  14. If by that you mean the 1/48 nose looks way too long now (and even a bit droopy), I'm seeing the same thing.
  15. Seriously, is nobody going to get a close up of the VF-1D picture in the Yamato display?
  16. Yeah, even the forearm armor is TV shaped! Now where's the damn 1D?
  17. If this bombs and ends up on sale for half off, I'll get one.
  18. Hmm, you might be right about that. Have you seen Macross? Did you see the pictures in the review? Ahh, there's the source of the confusion. The tip of the nosecone is removable on the 1/48. The entire nose and cockpit of the 1/60 is removable. That's the difference.
  19. I've noticed that it's easier to get the legs unhooked from the back plate (fighter mode to gerwalk) if I pull back on the legs while pushing them down. In other words, pull back on the valk's ankle and the legs should pop free easier.
  20. Yes! I too want a release of Kawamori's ultimate valkyrie design.
  21. Two millimeters, so you should be safe. There's a bit of play in the arms and gunpod handle, so maybe you can shove the gunpod up another millimeter or so.
  22. I'm having a bit of trouble believing the "broken" votes. Who would vote "broken" and then not even bitch about it in a post? If mine was broken, I assure you everyone would hear about it, because not only am I a whiner, but I'd want to warn people about what might break.
  23. Well, the barrel of the gun is pretty much right up against the armor, but if you're worried about it being to low for the landing gear, it just barely clears the ground.
  24. Got mine today and it's perfect!
  25. IT'S HERE! IT'S IN MY HOUSE! OMG OMG OMG!
