  1. 1) Happy birthday! 2) Your wife rocks. 3) That cake is absolutely amazing. How is it even possible? 4) Nice pencil holder! And is that the newly re-released Battle Angel? 5) I just turned thirty and...well, let me just say, I'm going to show my wife this thread and put her to shame!
  2. I got mine yesterday. Can't wait to get my dirty, dirty hands on that sweet bird.
  3. That's so freaking sweet! God I can't wait for mine.
  4. What's cool is they used Yellow's arms, so the forearm plates are oriented correctly.
  5. I just noticed the Beagle has a spare unhelmeted head.
  6. I know it's only meant as shorthand and not supposed to be offensive. We need to think of something better though. J-dudes?
  7. Really? I hope to get mine soon.
  8. So how do you guys feel about new heads for 1/55's? Blasphemy or progress? I don't mind the 1D head since there never was one originally. But if these are all about nostalgia, new heads to replace the original just doesn't feel right to me.
  9. I meant about the seats. They'd be crazy not to include a Minmay fig.
  10. Cool, thanks! So, will the two people who voted "broken" tell us what happened? Was it Alex's valk that was missing its head? That would definitely qualify as "broken" to me.
  11. Thank you! I wince every time I hear that.
  12. Not sure if those pics are new, but the shoulders don't stick too far out in that pic. Nice. The legs are still attached too high on the codpiece.
  13. I love them, and now I think the 1/48 legs are fugly.
  14. I remain optimistic. If there are QC problems, I'm sure Yamato will offer replacement pieces (in Japan at least), and the version 2 release will be fixed. I'm willing to be an early adopter, even if it means my toy is less than perfect. Why? Because this toy is so freaking beautiful. Perfect proportions and in a smaller scale that I prefer. But damn, Yamato really has problems with shoulders.
  15. Wait, how do we know this isn't the model?
  16. Dude, at this point, I'll be happy if the new 1D has a longer canopy than the other new VF-1's. If they can make that happen, I could care less about gimmicks. EDIT: Though I assume you're joking anyway.
  17. But then you can't vote later can you?
  18. Me too. That new TV 1A head deserves the sexy legs of the new 1/60.
  19. Whoa, news of QC problems is not what I wanted to hear. I'm totally happy with the design and proportions of the toy from what I see in pictures. I just hope it's not a floppy, crumbling mess in reality. At least we know Yamato fixes these problems for later releases. But if my 1/60 shows up missing a head, I'll probably throw it against a wall. I've been waiting so long for this -- it better be perfect!
  20. Holy hell those heads suck! CM is really taking a dive here. The attachment point for the beam cannon is a good idea. Including it from the start would have been a better idea.
  21. I hope Beagle fixes that crotchless armor piece. I imagine they left it off so it won't interfere with how the rider sits on the bike. Maybe they will make a soft armor crotch out of vinyl or something, so it looks shiny like armor while still being thin and flexible. Crotchless armor is just wrong. A huge vulnerability, and way too kinky for Stig. EDIT: Not acceptable.
  22. Wow, I really like that one! Now that's the type of artwork I find anime/manga artists to be incapable of these days: detailed, dynamically perspective mechanical art.
  23. With the fuselage pushed that far up, there's no room for a longer fuselage for a two-seater (which is needed for a longer canopy). I hope Yamato doesn't plan on just cramming two pilots into that cockpit for the 1-D. That would be total BS.
  24. Awesome! How about some Gerwalk pics?
  25. Stupid freaking Marine Day!
