  1. The transformation looks nice and the build looks sturdy. But I dare him to transform it so easily with decals on. As with my Bandai Vf-25s, I doubt it will transform very easily after a coat of paint.
  2. Maybe someone here can 3D print them at 1/3000 or 1/4000?
  3. I would buy the 1/4000 TV version just for the scale monsters. If only the VFs had a better sculpt.
  4. I guess you will seat a 1/60 Hayate figure from the DX when it comes out!
  5. Neko is good. Or in keeping with SDF, you could misspell Komatsu.
  6. I finally got the Adafruit Trinket to blink correctly as per the How to Guide. I was getting errors on the upload, until I found an FAQ that explained that Windows takes more than 10secs to compile the sketch. The solution was to click upload, then wait about 5 secs before clicking the reset button. I don't know if this solution will work for a longer sketch. So Trinket's a bit frustrating for me so far.
  7. I don't know...CAT is cool, but doesn't seem perfect fit for Macross.
  8. Xigfrid. Once you start with leds, no model will be complete without them. Guess you're planning those for the workroid? You will need some blue and red.
  9. Nyankodevice, Nice paint on the 31. Looks great for just a "couple days" work. Would take me 3 months!
  10. You had said you used the 6mm Gizmozone gearmotor for the Destroid arms. How did that work out? It would be cool if the Yamato turrets could turn, fire, and return in place. Adafruit can handle 2 servos, so I guess I will try that.
  11. Got my trinket. Time to play. Gotta study the book.

We found a home for this big mofo.
  13. Will give it another shot. Finally ordered my Trinket and neos and the book. Paid a pretty penny on shipping because I live in the ash-end of space.
  14. I hear you... but I had some problems with fiber for the main guns, because its too stiff and doesnt allow rotation. At this scale, it is also diffcicult to thread the fiber through the main gun parts, and can snap off my custom turrets. So I went with SMDs on magnetic wire which are very flexible and avoid all these problems. I can still go with fiber if I can solve these.

Gives new meaning to Boobytrap. We need to see the 1/72 Monstar scratch-build next to these. If you havent seen it.
  16. Good point. I did trim the tail fin decals and they look good. That was my priority. I thought I could get away without trimming the smaller decals, but as you can see they really show in close up. Thanks for the advice. I won't be coating these expensive valks any time soon, not with my painting skills anyway. My experience is with Bandai sticker decals, which don't adhere very well. Glad to hear that Yamato's are better. Encourages me to apply more, maybe on the YF-19 next.

What exactly is monster doing to Koenig? Step back dude. So what scale would you say the Bandai 1/200 kit actually is? Compared to the new Monster, it looks much smaller than 200 to me.
  18. I finally broke down and applied the decal stickers to my Yamato VF-4. Not Flashback exactly, but better than nothing. Any advice how to keep them from curling off? I never put stickers.
  19. I really regret not getting this. The 31s are not doing it for me.

    That review was... interesting.
  22. That's about 10mm with the SMD board right? I want to add the neos to my Yamato, it would be a shame not to. But I just dont have that much space. I think I will use neos on the wave motion gun, and analogs with timing for the rest. It will take me months to learn, but I think I have time since I'm taking the build very slow. Will the instruction manual on the Adafruit teach me how to time analogs?
