  1. Great progress. Looks like you will see it through. Best of luck.
  2. After further studying, controlling servos and fading/dimming lights require Pulse Width Modulation. The Adafruit Trinket does not have a data pin with PWM. You would need the Trinket Pro or full Arduino for those functions.
  3. Nyanko, That's paper? Amazing unique skills GMK, Very nice progress cleaning up the scratch build. Impressive. Wish I had half your abilities.

Since valks are the best sellers for Bandai, I can see them doing more valks in their other Tamashii lines, I also think there is room for an A.N.I.M.E. valk scheme one day.
  5. Looks like valk origami.

I hope they don't go to 7 and kill the line (I'm not a hater, just sayin.).

Beautiful paint work. Welcome and show us more!
  10. Are we sure those are all DXs, not models mixed in?
  11. They are tiny 1/700. The problem is that the photo etch is almost as soft as aluminum foil. Its no problem if they are laid flat, like ladders against the wall. But those side rails will be very fragile, unless some coats of spray strengthen them.
  12. I went ahead and ordered an Arduino Uno. I think this will help me to run a servo for the battleship turrets, as well as control many more LEDs separately than the Adafruit.
  13. I got my Tamiya IJN Yamato photo etched parts. Using this build below for inspiration to kit bash the Space Battleship Yamato.
  14. Someone hook this man up with a VF-31.
  15. I don't know how they are paying salaries this year with 2 or 3 releases.
  16. Someone here would know: How is Arcadia's product release rate compared with Yamato's? It seems that Arcadia is not putting out a lot.
  17. I'm confused... what do you mean by non-transforming? I thought these were partsformers.
  18. I don't know who could play Isamu, which is a credit to the creativity of the character designer. Its a shame Masayuki hasn't done more character designs. His work on Plus was phenomenal.
  19. I feel you. In my case, I just knew my kids weren't going to be in to it at 3 or 7 years old. So I waited until he was around 11 to show my oldest, and it worked out well enough. New thread suggestion: First Macross Rewatch with my Wife! But I'm not gonna go there...

Yeah, this is a big worry. The problem with a large toy like the monster not selling quickly is that it also clogs up warehouse and retail shelf space, which really bothers retailers.
  21. The transformation looks nice and the build looks sturdy. But I dare him to transform it so easily with decals on. As with my Bandai Vf-25s, I doubt it will transform very easily after a coat of paint.
