Good news for you, unlike 19 years ago, you can learn anything on Youtube! Thanks MechTech, but don't bet on it, considering I cant really paint very well! At 1/350 you could go crazy with the custom electronics. Show us what you can do!

The sound effects for the barrels in the original Yamato TV series are legendary. I would use those.

Thanks. I definitely planned sound effects from the beginning, but I haven't solved it yet. Lots to learn. The cool thing about Arduino is you can finish the model and re-program effects later without opening it up again.

I struggle with coats because I live in a very hot humid climate, even though I airbrush indoors. My flat Mr Topcoat and flat Vallejo always fog up like crazy. Clear performs better. But I wonder what max working temperatures are for flat, if anyone knows?

Looks fantastic. I'm sold. Which brand clear coat did you use, and what were your steps: Spray piece by piece or after finishing the whole thing? I always get coat on the joints and they never fit well together again.

+1 Same here. The problem is once I decal and clear coat, there is no way they will transform correctly again.

Considering how popular they are, I wouldn't be surprised to see reissues of the vf-1s schemes before the full line of destroids is complete.

And to clarify, the normal Trinket can handle servos, but you need to turn manually with a potentiometer.
