I still have my preorder for the VF-31J but I lost the one for the MB Blue Frame. I guess I have to hope the Blue Frame is available after release because I also was not near a computer for the BBTS preorder.

None of the other Frame Metal Build Gundams are sold out at the moment so it will most likely be the same for this one. Be patient. Also other sellers might re-open the preorder windows for this one till December. -

So I decided to order Maketoys Guardia today instead of the VF-2SS SAP. He looks just too awesome to pass on him. The crucial factor for this decision was the way the leg bots follow the coutures of the existing leg struts on Vulcan. I also got notice from PSX that the will send out replacement pieces for my copy of Backdraft. I will write an update here once they have arrived. -

When I got home after work the Metal Build Blue Frame was still sitting in my HLJ cart. I decided to order it and I got a confirmation mail. While I'm not to worried on missing out for the Metal Build this is a warning sign for the VF-31J I ordered this morning and got a confirmation mail at 16:05 JST. -
I just realized that this is the Zelda from Twilight Princess. Maybe they are willing to release a Midna which would be awesome. Midna rocks!

I guess it depends on how well the scalpers are able to sell their stock. If they aren't able to sell all the VF-31J at a profit they won't bother to order the other variants. They probably expect the same level of anticipation compared to the Frontier Valkyries. If the show is not as popular with the Mecha fans as Frontier or if the VF-31s turn out to be crap they won't bother trying to scalp them. See also Arcadias VF-0 (not popular & expensive) and ET VF-2SS (crap & expensive). I think what we saw with the Valkyrie today as well as the HMR releases is that scalpers expected the same demand situation as with the DX Chogokin Frontier ones. The VF-31J is rather expensive so I if the popularity is not there we can expect some more relaxed preorders after releases three or four. If they are popular you can expect the same as today. It also depends on the period to come. If HLJ is able to acquire enough stock to satisfy todays orders and is able to open the preorder window several times and the toy is available after release we can make an assumption on the supply level from Bandai. If Bandai produces enough stock the order situation will relax. However it is far too early to tell how the future releases will turn out.

It happens from time to time. Especially if they open the preorder again from now on. There have been cases in the past where people ordered in that period who didn't get the item (see the latest YF-29 Alto Use reissue). It is a bit worrying that the preorder windows stayed open this long today and that you could complete preorders while the item was on order stop but still in your cart. The latter case would be a warning sign for me personally that I might not be able to get the item. You can always sent them an email asking for clarification.

I think there was a problem with the initial design and they needed some time to rework the mold removing the issues. There was a statement posted by Action Toys somewhere explaining the issue in more detail. -

I'm definitely gonna get Despotron since Takara is unwilling to release a proper Megatron. The only issue I have is the face. While it looks great I don't think it fits well with the other Masterpieces. Too anime-esque and a tad to small for a Transformers I think. He looks gorgeous though. Love the design of the Fusion Cannon. It seems to have the correct size, something that most Megatron toys don't get right for such a trivial thing. MP-05 is one of the worst offenders of that. -

I don't understand why they didn't design the bigger drill of Rod Drill so it could slide over the head. With an additional piece it would even cover the face. -

All the previous DX Chogokin Valkyries came with a (ugly but functional) display base so that they could be displayed in all three modes. I assume that the Delta Valkyries come with the same kind of stand since the box seems to have the same dimensions that the Frontier ones had.

I like what I'm seeing. I actually like the rear landing gear no matter how nonsensical the design is. I really hope there is a way to tab in the weapon container in all modes. Since I think the YF-30 turned out great I can't see Bandai messing up with that amount of field data available.

Primes head looks terrible. Hopefully I get a Nemesis colored repaint out of it from Takara with an all black Headmaster. Hot Rod looks great!
