Maybe Delta 05 gets a cool skull emblem tattooed on its back later in the show. So it can be as cool as Delta 01 and 02. Maybe he gets an Idolmaster paint-job with a gigantic Freya on it. That leads me to the question why they don't have an Idolmaster paint-job from the get go? Looks awesome to me!

That is exactly how I felt watching the movie for the first time and I think that is why Kylo Ren is gonna be a great villain. He struggles to maintain his villainous ways which makes it interesting.

Hehe, I know if you do the math it probably all works out and of course you can find reasons why Luke didn't start to train Jedis right away. I just wanted to know if anyone else had the feeling that time flows strangely in the Star Wars universe. Apparently the answer is no so I'm satisfied. As I said in the Transformers thread: I'm a very special snowflake.

Well the only thing they had to do with Bumble is to make his fists rotate out like the ones on MP Starscream and you would not have any problems with tiny trapdoors or panels that have to fold over. The just had to make the forearms a tad thinner to have room for it. Anyhow. I know that a transforming toy has to have compromises especially if it is a Transformer. MP Ultra Magnus (so I don't pick every time on poor Tracks and Star Saber) has several issues like the fact that he has no waist joint, not enough articulation in the hands, missing panels that hide those hands in at-mode or not enough details picked out with color. Those are all nitpicks I can overlook because they don't detract from the toy. However the butt-flap and the gaps in the shins have super easy solutions to fix them and that makes the toy look unfinished. MP-10 to MP-21 don't look unfinished in any mode even if they had to have compromises because they are transforming toys. That is why the post MP-21 releases are disappointments for me and it stings even more because I know that they could have been better looking at the previous releases. And it is the same with Ironhide and the hip panels. Why can't they rotate behind to cover the wheels so they fill up the back or rotate up to fill up the lower abdomen that looks strangely proportioned. Nevertheless I'm looking forward having him in hand. I'm gonna leave it at that because it seems that I'm a person with very special needs.- 17164 replies

Oh I can see that it is plausible for that stuff to happen. It just felt like the Clone Wars where far further back than they actually where when I first saw Episode 4. I was just curious if anyone else feels that the time in this galaxy flows strangely.

I think the Arcadia YF-19 with the more prominently carved out swan neck wins Fighter-Mode comparison for me.

The thing is, I can deal with a bad toy but I can hardly deal with a disappointing one. The VF-2SS for example doesn't seem to be a good toy but I can deal with that because when I buy it I have a different mindset. I try to find the good parts in the toy. The Masterpiece toys have the potential to be great and they pulled it off with a few releases (the Datsuns and MP Bumble in particular) but they just manage to stumble right before the goal. MP Star Saber looks awesome in all the pictures of the prototype. Having him in hand is disappointing. I think I build them up in my head and than nitpick them to death because they don't cater to that image. I probably should abandon the line but I'm deeply invested now. All the toys have redeeming qualities. At the moment MP Road Rage is on my desk and I transformed her and the leg transformation is amazing but then I pose her and all the nitpicks add up to an unpleasant appearance. I stare at the hollow backpack and thing man why can't you fold down.- 17164 replies

I have a quick question about the passing of time in the Star Wars universe. To me it feels wrong. When I first watched Episode 4 the clone wars Obi-Wan mentions seem to be far far away. Probably because the age of Obi-Wan and how everyone thinks that the Force is an ancient relegion. Then it turns out the Clone Wars where mere 30 years away but it was enough to reshape the galaxy completely. Then between RotJ and TFa again 30 years pass but nothing happens. The story could literally start a few years after the end of Episode 6. I mean shouldn't look have trained at least one or two generations of Jedi in before Ben was old enough to betray him? Where are they? Why didn't they have more impact on the universe before they where all wiped out by the hands of the Knights of Ren?

I think the problem with Luke (and I can see where jenius is coming from) is that he doesn't do anything. I personally would not have had him show up at the end of Episode 8. Now we are sitting here and discussing for two years why he is an hermit for the last few years on a seemingly empty planet. I think it would have perfectly fine to end the movie with Rei boarding the Millenium Falcon and taking off. Instead JJ Abrams had to shove the fact that Mark Hamil is back into our faces. The problem is that Luke is portrait as the main focal point of the story even if he shouldn't be. The movie even starts with the line that Luke is missing putting him in the center spot. Of course this is more of a problem with older fans since for them (and me) Luke was always the hero of the Star Wars movies. For that he has not enough screen time thus creating a discussion about his motives. Maybe a movie that focused more on the current state of the universe would be a better kick-off point for a new trilogy.

I have to say that he looks better in Charles review than on any of the preview images. And I already payed for mine. I don't think he is a bad toy but since we are able to compare him to Hasui MP carbots it leaves me wondering how it could be different than what we've got. The main problem with the toys since MP-22 (Ultra Magnus) was that they don't feel finished. With the Hasui cars you transform them and you where done. Sure they are not perfect but I hadn't the feeling that the toy need to do anything more. With MP-22 you have the weird butt-flap and the hollow shins. With Tracks the backpack just sits there and does nothing. Ironhide has the weird panels that just hangs there. And compared with my the other collector oriented toy lines I have the TF Masterpieces feel lacking in general. Of course no other line has to pull of the same stunt that the Transformers do: converting from a real life vehicle into a robot without any predefined scheme. On the other hand having MMCs Sphinx (and the Hasui cars) in hand I can see what is possible. Basically it comes to this. I feel the Masterpiece line could be 10 times better if the toys would have a few more design iterations and a higher budget.- 17164 replies

Didn't you see the gaps in the torso, the odd hip flaps that don't move anywhere, the windows on the arms that are a tad to long and are now elbow spikes and don't forget the weird shoulder ratchets that love to break on MP-09. They also should have given some threads to the tray if it can't be attached to the car.- 17164 replies

It seems like the higher-ups if Omnigonix decided to make Spinout in car-mode slightly smaller so that the robot mode fits better with MP Lambo which explains the weird inconsistencies with the measurements from the early design pictures: (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/990117-omnigonix-v-01-spinout-mp-scaled-sunstreaker-523.html#post13306202)- 9279 replies

Charles reviews MP Ironhide: What a weird toy. This is clearly not on par with the Hasui MP cars.- 17164 replies

Original. The blue highlights (I refuse to call it armor) makes this figure pop. The repaint is a tad boring.

In my mind the real events that lead to the Frontier show where: Emigration Fleet 25 encountered the Vajra and survived. Everything else is inserted for more drama. -
I think the most popular fluid is Future floor polish with pledge. I think it had a few rebrandings in the past so you might check out boards for more information. I think that over at TFW there is a large settlement of floor polish users. Since this is not available in my country I can't tell you how to use it but Anubis from this very board did a video on maintaining the joints on a YF-29 which you might want to check out.

Macross Δ (Delta) - NYE Special Talkback - READ 1st POST
Scyla replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
I assume that Macross 30 is an in-universe video game that retells (with artistic license) a story from the Macross universe? The video game company probably just found the source code for it on some remote server and adapted it for our earthly technology. -
If I remember the movie correctly there is a scene in it where Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren standing in the rain in the middle of (what I assume) the corpses of the dead Jedi students and look sitting in the same place with R2 next to him (the one scene from the trailer where he is touching R2 with his prosthetic limb). So I assume that Luke witnessed the killing of his students but wasn't strong enough to fight the Knights of Ren so he flew. So Snoke must have had some influence over Kylo Ren before the destruction of the new Jedi order. I agree with Jenius that it is strange that he would go into hiding instead of trying to stop Kylo Ren. Also what happened to the other Knights of Ren. From the movie it got the idea that Kylo is the leader of them but where are they?

I'm tempted by that Menasor. But I will wait till someone has a review up and in hand experience with the quality of the toys. I doubt that their Montormaster will be as cool as Diesel.- 9279 replies
