  1. Look again! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=43297&p=1245038
  2. Personally I don't get the appeal of the weathered look. I can understand that it looks more realistic but my cabinets don't look like a warzone. They look like a showroom and thus I need clean Valkyries in them.

    Bandai DX VF-31

That is Makina Nakajima Lucky for you she seems to be with Mirage and the VF-31C. They probably will do a statue of her. No cast-off to preserve the purity of the character, oh and because she is underage. [edit:] I was wrong. Here it says 18 years old.
  4. We saw Gerwalk-Mode briefly in the preview episode. I'm sure there is an image showing it somewhere around the boards.
  5. In my opinion Arcadia should include at least the markings from the anime/source material. If it had ejection seat markings in the source material print it on the toy. After that include as many markings as the budget can get you. On the other hand I think the VF-19ADVANCE overdid it with all the markings so maybe don't add too many.
  6. But the YF-19 doesn't have air intake warning markings.
  7. New image for the Other M Zero Suite Samus: I'm in. I wonder why they displayed the other Samus Aran their. It looks exactly like the one they already released. I would totally buy different suite variants with additional effect parts.

    Bandai DX VF-31

God damn you Bandai, I have to buy another VF-31? What do you think about the possibility of Delta 03-05 getting their own skull tattoo mid-season so that we have to buy an additional variant of all the Valkyries form the show?
  9. The Reactive Armor looks good I hope they don't skimp on the markings. I'm disappointed that they didn't reveal any new molds so far. Not even showing the VF-0A unknown soldier. I was at least expecting a YF-21 V2 or a new SV-51. Even an announcement for a VF-0 Ghost drone set would have been appreciated. Bummer!
  10. I have a question about the Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composite Z Plus Red. Is the red of the toy tomato red (image a) or rather a pinkish/magenta red (image b). From looking at images and videos on the web I can't determine which color the toy has. So any input from someone who saw the toy in person is appreciated. (image a) (image b)
  11. Neat (the upper row). I really hope Bandai considers S.H.Figuarts of the idols.
  12. I think it is this weekend.
  13. Just make sure that you open it immediately after you received it to check for broken hip syndrome. You only have 10 days after receiving it to get help from HLJ if something is wrong with your copy of the toy.
  14. None where reported on Macross World as far as I know.
  15. So the VF-19 Kai from Yamato was 22,000 Yen plus 9,800 Yen for the Sound Booster. This makes a total of 31,800. The Arcaida release came with a small Fire Bomber band and if you take into account the inflation you're probably even. According to anymoon.com the msrp for the Yamato VF-1J GBP was 16,800 Yen but that was back in 2009 so a price hike should have been expected to to the increase in wages in China. That leaves the reissue of the VF-1S as an outlier but it included the option parts and a stand. With inflation and the costs of the larger boxes and the added accessories I think the price hike is not too far off from the original MSRP of 9,800. It is still a price hike nonetheless. 16. Man that discount is a bummer. I'm starting to think I should not preorder any more Arcadia products before they are getting a discount thus sinking Arcadia singlehandedly. It is a vicious circle!
  17. I think both lines have their pros and cons. None of the lines will be complete but since you won't get 1/60 scale Destroids and enemy mecha. On the other hand Bandai might drop the HMR line if sales are not well. With the 1/60 line you have the benefit that now three companies releasing Valkyries in this scale (Bandai, Arcadia and ET) so you get a wider selection of stuff. That said I think when it comes down to it you have to follow your preferences. Do you have little display space and you like vastly different toys I would go with HMR because you can get Valkyries, enemy mecha, Destroids and maybe even an S.H.Figuarts Britai. If you like to put your toys into dioramas and/or playing with your toys a lot I would go for the HMRs If you are into complex engineering, built-in features, premium toys and you are interested in toys form other Macross shows I would say go with the 1/60 line. Yes Bandai showed entries for other Valkyries such as the VF-0 in the HMR line but as long as we don't have a fixed release date for them they might never come out. If you like static, museum like shelves where the single item is in focus I would prefer the 1/60 Valkyries. Price is not that big of an issue if you go neck deep into the HMR line because than you have to deal with a 1/100 Monster that will probably be in the $250 price range and maybe you are buying multiple Regults and cannon fodder to have a diorama. To sum it up. If you want a lot of different toys on your shelf that you can pick up and play with and you are fine with only having SDF:M/DYRL? items (for now) go with the HMR line.
  18. I will pay for it if they paint U.N.SPACY on the legs! I assume it is the end of February, maybe between 25th and 29th.
  19. No offense taken. I also frequent the TFW board and got the impression that there is a tendency to rate everything companies but up in their collector oriented lines (Masterpiece, 3rd party Masterpiece alike and regular 3rd party releases) is viewed as the bees knees (i.e. everything is awesome, perfect, 10/10). However if I look at other toys in my collection that are aimed at collectors I can't share that conception (the same goes for NECA or Black Series action figures). That's why I'm asking if I have a misconception about this toyline or if the others are off.
  20. I have a question for jenius about is video on the fix of the issue. You didn't use any glue in the process but the leg is still attached to the leg. This leads me to the question why the leg came of in the first place. Was it not seated correctly inside the ball socket or where the two halves of the ball socket not closed all the way. I ask because if the leg stays attached without gluing it to the metal rot of the hip joint something had to be wrongly assembled. I should take a close look at my VF-0 toys to get a better idea what is causing this issue.
  21. I don't think this a fair assessment. You don't need to be a good creator (of any kind of material) to be a good critic (of said material). I never hid the fact that my complaints are nitpicks (by and large) and I think I made valid suggestions what could be done about it. On the other hand maybe I'm an entitled brat that is too spoiled by my Valkyries, Metal Build Gundams, Riobots and Soul of Chogokin (and SRC) toys. As I said none of the other toy lines have to pull off the same stunt that a Transformer does so shortcomings have to be accepted. However I think it is fair to say that Takara collector products are not on par when it comes to fit and finish (and sometimes engineering) compared to collector focused products from Sentinel, Bandai and Arcadia. I also think that the little details make a good toy great. The Masterpiece Transformers are good transforming toys but they are not great. They are always alternating around the good level, sometimes they are above (Streak), sometimes they are below (MP Tracks) . I think that Ironhide is a good transforming toy but not great like Streak but also not bad like Tracks. But because I'm a spoiled brat I demand greatness (and I'm willing to pay for it).
  22. If I understand the Macross canon correctly than every show/movie/comic/game is a retelling of an in-universe event. So I have no problem to believe that in the actual event the pilots where probably older and that the age for the pilots in the media was chosen to appeal to the target audience.
  23. MP Ironhide G1 mode: (https://twitter.com/Alfes2010/status/692718604496711681)
  24. I hope Arcadia considers a 1/3000 SDF-1 reissue after the VF-4G.
