  1. Yeah. I quoted the wrong post. D'OH! Sorry 'bout that. Meant to be quoting a Fly4Victory's post directly above mine.
  2. There's currently a rumor circulating from someone who "has a friend in the industry" that what's in those pictures is just an under layer that goes under the actual suit. Full version is supposed to be much more metallic looking. Been too long since I've seen the original, but I'd swear that even in that, the paint looked a different shade as it curved away from the viewer. Maybe it was just a really well done airbrush effect? I know somewhere along the line they repainted it look more blue than silver. EDIT: Quick Google image search shows me that it was a combination of airbrushed paint effects on the suit and a generally very shiny silver paint job. Still better than all flat black.
  3. In other news; it was anounced to today that Stark Industries has filed suit against Wayne Technologies for patent violations. Honestly, if they'd made this look like the bat armor from the first Batman Vs. Predator, I'd be all over it.
  4. I'm still trying to figure out how they put a hover car into a traction roll. Because, yknow, that's obviously the least realistic thing in there....
  5. I am not a fan of the "shard armor" look. Looks like somebody could wreck it, with a crowbar. That looks more like a Bushwacker battlemech, than an ED 209.
  6. I like it. Reminds me of the old school super robots, that were mostly made up of simple shapes. This one has just enough detail added to look cool, but not to the point of being so busy that you can't tell exactly how it's moving.
  7. That's fine, for robot mode. I'd be more worried that the vehicle mode looks like that, too.
  8. I would give several people's right testicles* for a real rideback. *I'm rather attached to my own
  9. I remember seeing the concept sketches of what they originally wanted for the engineering section. (Might have seen them on this forum, I forget.) It would be nice if they could actually do that in the movie. Then, some part of the ship could actually look futuristic. Honestly, the engineering section was the least of my issues with that ship's interior. The bridge is way too retro, for my tastes. We've been seeing white spaceship interiors since at least "2001: A Space Odyssey." It's reached the point where it just makes things look dated, to me.
  10. Ever read Larry Correia's Monster Hunter books? The gnomes are, uh.... shall we say kind of street?
  11. New Thundertank looks like the old one is docked into the front of it. Berbils pimped his tank. "Yo dawg, we heard you like tanks! We put a tank in your tank, so you can be tankin' while you're tankin."
  12. Seeing as that's the landing runway, it's more incentive to hook the line the first time.
  13. I started my Klink character a while back, just for dilithium/C-point farming. Ran a few missions with him, before focusing on just the dailies. These days I only log him for duty officer missions, and emailing surplus contraband to my fed captains. He's a major general, mostly from the DOF mission XP. Finally got fed up with my Fed sci's Odyssey class, and went back to his assault cruiser. The Ody's feel like they take most of the afternoon, just to turn around.
  14. I prefer science characters, but I love my tactical captain's fleet escort. I put a Mk. XI RCS accelerator in it, and it's just too much fun to fly. Probably a waste of a console slot, but I'm having fun with it.
  15. Did someone say spork!? I'll supply the sporks, BTW. I was NEVER a Bumblebee fan.
  16. Refit style enterprise would be fine, if they'd just replace those hideous nacelles. Maybe, a toned down version of the JJprise nacelles. Honestly, I'd be fine with the reboot version of the ship, if they'd just move the engineering hull back a bit. (leave the nacelles where they are, in relation to the saucer) Guys, I'm sorry, but I really do think the Excelsior ranks right up there with the Galaxy as one of the ugliest designs Starfleet has ever produced. Now, the Ambassador class. That's a good looking ship.
  17. Because, she's the only Joe figure so far produced to have them, and we hadn't seen any evidence that they'd be used on any other figures. On a somewhat related note, Hisstank has higher res images up now, and I'm not happy to see that not only do most of the figures have single joint knees, but some of them have no ankle joints what so ever.
