Seeing how simple the design of the G-Riser is its no surprise on the connection points. I think it takes after the Exia Avalanche alot after they are combined. Interesting.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models

Decaled about 1/4 of it. Tough work! Used Mr Mark Softer on some of them and realised it also rubs off the panel lines. Some of the decals especially those for the torso and back area requires some trimming as the transparent parts tend to be left hanging at the edge. Tried cutting those off with knife but the decals keep coming off. My back and neck kinda hurts now. This will be the 1st and last VF-25 model i'm doing....i think. -

Finished panel lining and painting on the small details such as the head and the crotch piece. Decals is going to be a nightmare....so i'll leave that for tomorrow. -

Where's this 20 minutes video thing? My question is how the frack do i clear coat the model as it has so many moving parts and some parts are bound to be hidden by others while in one mode or the other. And will the clear coat form a "thick" layer causing parts that swivel/move have difficulty? -

And its the 1/100 Yamato toy, not a model kit. -
Looks like a "Super Gundam" addon to me.

best of luck to your plan on speculating on the macross model kit market. Completed building up the VF-25F. Pretty awesome kit but lotsa small parts. Don't think I have the endurance to build another one....these things take alot of effort. >_< Next....panel lines and decals. >_< Comments on completed model: Fighter mode doesn't lock very well especially on the wing roots to the fuselage. Not sure why...might be some joints aren't in place. Gunpod requires an extra piece to attach it to below the fighter. Transformation to gerwalk and battroid was a non-hassle....can be done in 2-3 minutes in each mode. Battroid mode poses great with good proportions but not the most articulated of models. But not complaining. Nice thoughtful hinge on the crotch piece that allows the legs to be lower....the DX should use this mechanism to make the toy look much better. -

Hmmm i dunno. Perhaps HK toy merchants took for granted that Bandai HK will provide them stock but were left in the lurch when Bandai didn't provide. As for Malaysia, some retailers get stock direct from Japan (grey imports) so i guess that's where this shop in a mall had it. In contrast i didn't see shops that usually stock toys from Bandai (ie toys r us etc) have the VF-25 yet. -

Thanks for the tips, David Hingtgen. I have no idea what a "Tinted Future" is and this site describes what you need to do pretty well. http://www.swannysmodels.com/Tinting.html Possibly some use to people who had no idea like me. Now i wonder if this "Future" is sold in my country. As for my model building, progress for the model is slow. There are alot of small individual parts and my fingers feel sorta big and clumsy so handling them was a challenge. Done the cockpit nosecone + 2 hands before calling it a day. Not feeling so well either so decide to keep it for the next day to continue work. -

Hey Tcracker! Nice job! Just wondering, how much of the kit did you paint up? Or did you just do the panel lines? I found the last VF-25 kit here around the city today and I'm so happy to have gotten it. And incidentally I'm on hols for the whole week so I'll have something to preoccupy me for a few days. Can't wait to start on it tomorrow. Oh also wanted to ask, what do i do after i decal it up? I got myself a bottle of Mr Mark Softer...will this seal the decals? Do i need to get some sorta clear coat spray ? -
I don't think. I do. Just abit....inaccurate. *cough cough*

Some ppl speculate it to be, though it doesn't really matter. What matters was Lelouch got the code and is immortal, so probably travelling Britannian countryside with C.C. or something. C.C. was also crying in the church on Lelouch's "decision" for using Geass on people, which at 1s ppl think the decision was to die, but actually its more of the decision of suffering the curse of immortality, with her. What was important for me was Lelouch was keeping his end of the promise, to have C.C. smile when she dies (if she ever dies) and she sure seemed happy talking to Lelouch at the end. Though not implied I think the hints on the final episode confirm he has became immortal. As for Kallen, i'd like to think she knew hence the tears in her eyes at the stabbing. She above everyone else placed her trust on him and was befuddled by his sudden bastardness after putting on the imperial crown, only to realise she was right all along.

Troll101's theory which makes more sense: Question now is, why the heck would Charles give the code to Lelouch? (starts doing some rewatching)

Oh dear you're right....so that means i don't have to fan wank that conclusion. This is awesome.

Surprise me...really...surprise me.....

Now that you mention it I remembered something like that. You're probably right. -
I called the ending except the part where Lelouch really dies. I would've thought he would have fulfilled his contract with C.C. and gained the code from her. Or at the very least make a dramatic end apologising for not fulfilling his promise to make her smile as she dies. and after watching the end it might be this was the case. But meh...i dun really care if he was dead or not. Its just that the whole C.C. arc was left open and to ppl who were too busy bawwwing, might have missed that C.C's code might already be transferred in that 2 months Emperor Lelouch got the Damocles. Beh who knows now. About Nunally touching Lelouch as he was dying and seeing his past, i wonder if that was a sign that the immortality code was transferred since it usually shows the person who touch the immortal his past, not the immortal's past? Overall I think i loved Code Geass' epilogue more than Macross Frontier's. *dodges pots and pans thrown at him*

Yeah....but it does seem a huge chunk of it got blasted out relatively splitting it in two. Maybe they just attached what was left of it back onto Battle Frontier. -

Keep in mind i'm an amateur modeller. I've used both Gundam Markers and wash methods. Gundam Markers has good effects but tend to rub off over time if you don't seal it with a clear coat. Wash method saves you ALOT of work that is done with markers and again requires you to clear coat over it to preserve it during handling. -
Please not like Knocking on Heaven's Door cause that wil mean the story takes part prior to the finale in the TV series. But I won't be surprised if it was "The Galaxy Is Calling Me" type of movie. Keep me surprised, Kawamori.

I'll say it bluntly. Keep your shipping in animesuki. We (or at least most of us) don't like it here. Maybe its because the so-called Ranka-shippers don't really care? Simply stating "sheryl didn't win coz....." doesn't make me a Ranka shipper. But i do admit i was "shipping" Ranka just cuz she was the underdog in this whole shipping war but in actual fact I couldn't care less if she didn't win. The way I see it, now its "Sheryl shippers vs ppl who think it was a harem ending" war though, and some Sheryl shippers agree it was unresolved as well. -
They made an entire episode to use Utsonomiya's style in Aquarion. Based on that article, it would seem they went out of their way to make that episode for him. And remember Gurren Lagan 04, direction also by Utsonomiya. It caused big fan outrage that after much hoohah ended with one of GAINAX's founding fathers forced to resign. I really don't see him being used too soon by future companies for "artistic license" unless said companies want to take huge risks. Heck dun think i saw him in any jobs after GL ep04. The anime watching community is not THAT avant-garde yet. But no matter, Frontier's quality was bad in certain areas (not just the hyda fight) and if you visit the bugs thread, there's also alot of inconsistencies which seem to point that the subcontractors who did the in-between animations weren't tightly QC-ed nor directed. In Frontier....there's no doubt the hydra one was bad. If they wanted to stylise the hydra fight, they might as well have stylised the whole episode. Otherwise to have such a pretty episode of a Macross Zero homage only to be marred by a few seconds of hydra fight serves little meaning. Wait , you watch other anime?
