It was heavily hinted as well as his true love is flying and further cemented by supporting characters mentioning "So this is your love". The love triangle isn't resolved. That's that. LOL sheryl shippers are RAGING now. That's good enough for me.

I asked those as well. But i guess now that the series has ended, we'll only know in supporting material like radio dramas and whatnots. But i guess we can make some fan-wank answers. 1.) Ranshe learnt the melody from analysing the fold waves. Human lyrics were probably added in later. 2.) I can't fan-wank a theory for this seriously.....somehow she came into contact with Vajra bodily fluids. Perhaps doujins can put some light on this situation..... 3.) Hmmm wasn't it cuz she took the place of the queen and being at the top of the fold network she gets to control them? So....you are agreeable to macross turning into a hollywood popcorn flick? That's the problem with ppl these days. They want lots of special fx, action sequences, but little to no story or plot, as long as they are entertained (i'm lookin at u Transformers). And the production houses are inclined to make more shows like these.

To a T? You can see that it was obviously a kiss to a T in a badly animated series with anime magic and animation bloopers? If it happened, it would've been obvious and in your face to squash the opposing idea of them not kissing. But too bad it wasn't and the end proves that Alto can't give two fishes about Sheryl and Ranka at this point. He likes flying in a real sky above all.

Only clue we got was Grace cursing them "damn worms" who realised her plans. So i guess Grace tried something (like hack the fold network), Vajra considered it as hostile behaviour and retaliated. Btw they never explained Luca's Cinderella's Horn project....and why Grace setup the bridge fold amplifier on the Battle 25. I thought she would've sabotaged it since she was in charge of it.

Aquarion movies were combination of the 2 OVAs. They featured an alternate telling of the tv series and its all new animation. Its like DYRL? for Aquarion. I really doubt the Frontier movie will be like this though.

I don't think the Vajra are as many and vast as ppl tend to think. If anything, rogue zentraedi and SA are still the main threat in the galaxy since their numbers seem infinite. And further proven that the zentraedi themselves do not know of this race, the Vajra....surely their numbers and influence in the galaxy is not much. At least with the protodeviln and Evil series, all zentraedi fear them. Next enemy? Hikaru himself whose head is implanted in a mecha to preserve his life. After hiding from humanity so long he became depressed by humanity and why they cause wars.....so he decides to become the new Protoculture and teach us all a lesson. Songs of love don't affect his cynical heart anymore....until a 9 year old idol steps up to the challenge.

Doh i forgot this thread existed. From ep 25: - Grace in manager clothes even upon entering the vajra queen despite changing to flight suit. The manager clothes were supposedly her VR image. - Alto's empty VF-171EX got shot far away from the cruiser wreckage and past Klan's damanged Q-rae but in the ep 25 flashback, it got shot shortly after he ejected as it passed above the wreckage. Logically he wouldn't even eject because the ship wasn't damaged yet at that point, unless he has newtype powers......and knew he can't dodge the shot.

It was just one lone CF....and that doesn't count due to recycled animation. I mean it would've been cool if we saw Ozma saying "TOTSUGEKI LOVE HEART!!" and wing leaders all over SMS /NUNS acknowledge his leadership. Throughout the show it felt like Ozma was just a wing leader for Skull, not a squadron leader. Heck show Ozma doing some leadership to other teams to cut off the enemy would've been cool enough for me.

I'm with ya, Duke. To add to that, not enough screentime was dedicated to side characters and their potential developments. Michel was the only side character that got relatively good development but he died...which was kinda wtf. I wished there was more development for the Pixie Squad and other people in SMS. We know SMS is a pretty big outfit but we only see the main casts in action which gives the impression only they are in battle. (No CF VF-25 action). There was much potential for the school setting as well but they did not utilise it at all. I thought it might be something like Alto and co having to juggle school with SMS but none of that. Sheryl and Ranka joining the school added nothing except the panty chasing episode. That said, Macross Frontier probably won't win anime of the year, but I enjoyed the direction, the space battles, the songs, the mecha pr0n, the love triangle and all the other things that make it a classic macross formula. 7/10 from me.

Its not just Sunrise. Gainax does it. Heck even Kawamori did it with the last Aquarion. If its anything like the Aquarion movie/OVAs, it will be an alternate retelling but i really doubt it.

The slap was another sheryl/ranka role reversal. If ppl didn't already realise, the whole show had these 2 girls switching roles throughout the series. And few eps ago sheryl slapped ranka to knock sense into her, now its Ranka's turn to return the slap, few times fold (pun not intended). As for Grace, who's to say if she's really dead or not. She might've just downloaded her mind elsewhere again. "I'll get you next time, Frontier". XD

There was also flashback on a humanoid alien thing and the birdman in one flashback scene. Need better encode and subs. I was wrong for Michel cause the anime pacing definately hinted to his return. I mean look at freaking Code Geass. LOL everyone lived this season but it was expected. In frontier, Kawamori rickrolled us. Ppl who were expected to die didn't and ppl who were expected to live died. Luca didn't die either. Neither did Nanase. Zzzzz
