Hehehe....it may be interesting that Ep 25 will turn EVA on us and all we see are design sketches and scrapbook flipping while hearing Alto x Ranka x Sheryl narration. Finally ends with "Omedetou, Alto-kun".

That's what i suggested. But Ranka is probably physically still on the planet rather than on the Galaxy. Last we saw of her, Ai Kun took her to the queen's lair and she was staring face to face with the queen that doesn't quite look alive. Cuz effectively they were under Grace's command by then.

Yes. Though not said yet, i'm quite sure the Queen resides on the top hierachy of the vajra network, shown as the Root Node on the Quarter. If Grace has this, everyone connected to the network, implanted human and vajra alike, will be subservient to her. And from macross zero....sigh...i hope there's something bout Shin/Sara but doubt it.

In ep 24 Grace already said that she needs her to interpret the vajra network so through her, the Vajra can be controlled by Grace which in turn leads her safe passage to the queen.

Urmmm...we already know that. But that doesn't make Grace connected to Galaxy as if she's controlling it if that's what you're suggesting. What's the point of eating a medicine that's supposed to subside headaches if it causes headaches as a side effect as well? That would help her how? Just admit its a plot hole for now if it was never revealed in ep25. And hence my argument that Grace's original plan was a plot hole. The plan would've happened even without Sheryl NOR Ranka. YOUR argument was that she already factored them in the plan in the 1st place and she knew about Ranka as Little Queen even before she reached Gallia which I've proven she has not. So there is two plans. Plan A....kill sheryl and destroy Gallia 4. Not sure why. Plan B, sheryl survived, no big deal.... I found Little Queen. Ok they were called Bacteria. Non important. Because the way she gets infected might lean heavily to the plot? V-type infection supposedly does not infect humans after all. Episode 10. Conversation between not-Grace and Leon. The Hydras were set up to be infected by not-Grace. The only madness caused by V-type infection is the Hydras. As far as we know, Ranshe, Sheryl, Ranka and even the Vajra are not mad. Thus the Hydra's behaviour are an anomaly and a plot hole. Uhhh....nasty how? And why? She did mention that Frontier as a bioplant fleet is perfect for her plans (Plan A) or something. Can't remember which ep. Then later in the show we see Vajra popping from underground. And also asking Brera to protect Frontier as it sinking now will not help her in her plans.

Which is kinda moot cause they found out about Sheryl's condition eventually. And delaying the knowledge wouldn't have helped anyone anyway. The 1st pic is the one on the Global, that kidnapped Ranka and then destroyed. So I guess its not the same. As there is a hierachy on the vajra network, there might be other queens but there is one "mother queen" on the root node which Grace is after.

Thanks for missing the point. I was talking about Galaxy underneath the projection. And Galaxy linked to Grace is speculation. Then why the removal of the blood sample? Was it so recycle-bot will clean it in the recycling systems and through some lack of sanitation cause infection to the populace of Frontier? Mitigate effects or cause effect? Klan clearly says the side effects of the pills...and Sheryl has them all. Are the side effects done by the pill or the virus? Or you could just rewatch the episodes. As of the Galia 4 episodes 12-13, the abilities of Code Q-1 was STILL unconfirmed and her abilities are still not proven until episode 14 thus the priority of her rescue was mooted by Grace when Brera suggested if he should save her. Therefore Grace did not factor Ranka as Q-1 only until end of episode 14 thus changing her plans. So the "plot-hole" which was her original plan was not touched upon. Why discard Sheryl....when there's nobody to replace her. Did Grace have another Fairy ? We only know part of the original plan was to instill hatred between Frontier and the Vajra but after finding Ranka, the hatred thing didn't really touched any ground since Sheryl was still alive after all. The anime calls it a virus so I'll continue to as well. And AFAIK poo is also loosely classified a bodily fluid and since it comes from the intestines, they are bound to have the vtype virus in them. But that's not the point. The point is how Ranshe got it. Though at this point, there are other more important things to resolve. Virus choose their hosts. They don't just infect every donkey, monkey and cat on the planet and have different effects on each animal.(though some have resistance to it) Even for BSE, the effects of the disease in the cow are similar to the human host, that they both become mad and suffer from dementia due to degeneration of the brain. So the mad hydra angle is a mystery. And why Leon and Grace set up the island to have a mad V-type hydra on the loose which ultimately ended with the whole Hydra species on Frontier to be culled. Why? Again, we don't know. Also part of Grace's elusive original plan....to use Frontier as a Vajra nest because of it being a bioplant. She was also destoying nests in wrecked ships possibly for purposes of hiding evidence? Why? Again we don't know. For now yes. Hence the "maybe". Since Grace's original plan is now a big plothole. Killing Sheryl is like shooting herself in the leg based on the information revealed to us thus far. She still needs to implant them to access the implant network though. And besides v-type virus is still a fatal infection unless u were birthed from someone carrying it.

Won't happen like it did last time. Airtime today is expensive and hard to get and schedule until probably a year later.

To me i'm just wondering if behind the ghostly visage is actually the Galaxy. Stuff were firing from behind it and something was firing at Alto when he came near giant Ranka, so i assumed them to be turrets. Then there's the image of unknown mecha head as well. - Project Fairy: What do the pills do? Klan says its supposed to mitigate symptoms of v-type virus but has side effects that Sheryl is facing. So is Grace keeping Sheryl alive or not? Sheryl would have died on Galia 4 but Grace didn't know about Ranka's ability then or at least she is of no concern to her then. What was her original plan if she intended to kill sheryl on that planet? Did she have backup fairy or something? - Vtype infection: We know what it does in the vajra....but why does it infect humans? Do people normally contract it? Howard Glass seems to say no. And why do Hydras become berserk when they get infected with it? Doesnt make sense. And finally...how did Ranshe get it? Was she messing with Vajra-poo during experimentation? - Grace's original plan: Still unstructured and probably resolved by the end of ep 25, but i'm more interested to know what she intends to do if she did not find Ranka. Ranka was key to her plans coming to fruition and she had plans that did not involved Ranka initially. Then there's that thing about using Frontier as a nest or something, why? - Sheryl might be one of many clones of the real Sheryl (Fate Testarossa? ) and i think she is purposefully infected with V-type virus. She didn't just contract it.

Didn't my explanation make sense? They can't leave the civvies all alone to fend for themselves and as they are they are already vastly outnumbered. Its a convoy formation. He was CF in nuns then, so no custom colors for him.

Random thoughts after watching subs: - Grace wanted to do something to the Vajra 11 years ago but they retaliated and destroyed the Global along with Grace's plans. - Grace cursed the blood of Ranshe and Dr Mao (Zentran/Human + Alpha Bombay?) who will slaughter each other. Does this make Mao a Vajra or at least something that is of same ancestry? Do we finally get some Macross Zero answers? - Indeed Ranka was needed as an "adapter" to interpret the Vajra network. It was impossible before but by passing the info through Ranka, it was easy. - The "queen" seems more like a suit/throne that a humanoid sits in rather than a being itself. I didn't notice it before but upon closer inspection of HD subs, it looks like an empty suit....possibly supposed to be for a protoculture to control the Vajra originally. This would be interesting if the throne is empty now since it would mean the Vajra were never "intelligent", but acted solely on instinct (following fold waves, gathering materials for fold quartz, protecting their turf) unless someone commanded them. - What bugged me was the giant Ranka....why are Frontier's computers viewing it if it was metaphoric....so i guess its supposedly a holo-projection. Then it occured to me that probably behind the Holo-Ranka was actually Battle Galaxy. It was certainly big enough and there's the shot of what is assumed to be the head of Battle Galaxy just before Alto duels with Brera. Also there seemed to be red turret fire coming from around giant Ranka hologram. I hope i'm wrong but I get a feeling that some plot-points won't be resolved by the end of episode 25. Seems like alot of questions need to be answered which has to do with Sheryl, Project Fairy, Grace's original plan, vtype virus....etc. Oh well...lets see next episode!!

Probably would've been worse for them to spare energy to fold and drag "useless" islands with them. They were discarding them because they started "rationing" their vital supplies. (air, food, etc) I'm quite sure they aren't in firing range. They gotta at least reach near orbit. And the spiral thing looks as big as a small continent. I doubt Battle 25's macross cannon alone can destroy the whole thing. They probably want to seek out the queen and do a surgical strike on her. Expect "trench runs" ala Death Star.

Apart from desperation, the whole frontier fleet is in enemy territory. The reason they folded in WITH the civilian quarters as well was they cannot sustain their life support systems any much longer and almost all the energy is being used for that AND the final fold onto the promised land. That said, they had to barge their way into the planet en masse and can't leave the Islands undefended as they will be easy pickings for random Vajra. I guess the plan is to move the whole fleet together and defeat the queen and the battle will be theirs....in Leon's theory anyway.
