  1. I am trying to decide if I should go further and make a resin kit of this X-9 or not. I need to know if I got enough interest to launch a production series. As many of you know, the minimum quantity is 20 for a production series. Price for an unassembled/unpainted version would average between 170-200 USD. Description: Total of 25-30 parts, mix of resin parts, 1x clear canopy and 5x flexible 3D printed parts. All the parts are assembled and stay together with 4 screws for the X-9; 2 screws for the Super parts. Retractable wings Retractable bottom wing Options: 1) mounting+painting 2) Retractable wheels (3D printed steel parts with rubber tires and flexible plastic assembly Since painting and wheels material costs really changes with number, tell if you want any of the options or not, that would be helpful
  2. That s right, here is a comparison pict , the right one is obviously my copy taken with a phone camera Sorry for the off topic guys!
  3. I won't blame you, I did paint my YF-29 isamu top nose in black so that it has the same pattern of the other 29s and 25s... Although that I absolutely know this is not correct. Damn these small chip of paint can be buggy!
  4. I don't want to buzz your decision, but to me the new paint was a revelation compared to the old Yamato choice. To me, the paint is much more accurate to a "Shin" scheme. In episode 5, you can see both Shin's 0A and Roy 0S side by side on the aircraft carrier. And Shin is plain grey when Roy's frame is black.
  5. My Arcadia 19 also has the loose ankles but I recently discovered that it mainly affects only the 5 degrees around the center position, where the battroid stands straight. Well the quick fix is to use a more dynamic battroid position to use the ankles in more extrem angles, or play with the 2 axis ankles to have tight standing position.
  6. Mounting valks on the wall is really neat indeed. I wished I could put mine out of the detolf safely... but with the kid around, they won't be for sure!
  7. Like spanner, I think this would be beyond imaginable! Derex, this Falcon Millenium is beautifull, I hope your boss will like it very much
  8. I really like this design, not the paint! I want to know more of the story now

    Bandai DX VF-31

They just don't know how to display this weapon pod, so they hide it in battroid? Anyway, I feel I can wait until I get to watch a few TV episodes before grabbing one of these 31.
  10. No worry, Jasonc and I are going to fix that quickly and the recast of the main wing will restart very soon!
  11. Don't worry, with my custom paint scheme I believe I will be last
  12. I finally made 1:60 Sharon Apple who would perfectly pose with this drone. It's on the incoming test batch I called it "Sharon hacking into the X-9"
  13. I have been sanding the prototype parts and refining a few of them in CAD. Now it's time to order them from the 3D print services and the long wait before reviewing them starts again.
  14. An O-ring would not hold in place, but I think the front gear size is the same as the VF-1 ones.
  15. Same issue for me, if Arcadia can have the wings fixed, I will buy one! Otherwise, I will try to find a printable great fix!
  16. It can be an exploding beauty, chaosyeti's fix would fix it stronger!
  17. If they want to, they can send me a PM, I am totally open to all kind of negociation. But seriously, that would be dreamfull if Arcadia actually wants to make a toy from my design, I would be glad to help.
  18. X-9 is smarter than these VFs commoners: it doesn't take off with a catapult, it launches with its own pod from submarines! Well mine can fold its wings so the launch pod is always a later possibility http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrossplus/x9-ghost/x9-ghost-launch-lineart.gif
  19. These metal parts had me all pumped up on this project, I have fixed most issues and trying to enhance a few other things in the process now
  20. I couldn't believe until they arrived, the X-9 received few upgrades! Parked and deployed pictures !
  21. Damn I always end up with a few french words slipping in :/
  22. As far as I remember I have been down by the pain a whole day after the removal of mines. I hope chiurgical acts have evolved and you get less pain now! Keep the great work!
  23. I have been thinking about a similar setup. First you can't definitively seal the model with the battery inside because sooner or later you will have to replace it. For the switch I thought of making a 3D printed battery cage with a thin and flexible tab where you can glue a micro magnet. To close this flexible tab acting like a switch, you would need to use an outside magnet too, which would be more or less visible. This is how far I went with this idea. Don't know if it can help for your project! Derex, that falcon looks really great!
  24. Great news! I hope we will see these kits soon on the workbench thread
  25. I am facing a few weak points in the design in small areas involving moving parts or locking mechanism. Which are very difficult to fix compared to other areas. Also the metal parts keep on being rejected by Shapeways team... So at this point, the production run is farther than expected...
