I am pretty sure these would fit, wouldn't they? https://www.shapeways.com/product/J4UD2XE7N/yf-29-head-turret-1-pair?li=search-results-1&optionId=6800104&rc=SearchResults

I measured it from tip to nose: 18,50 cm. As this measure is actually a diagonal, the drone is a little shorter.

I think so or the original resin could also be used so it would end seamless. Anyway I am satisfied with what I see, looking back at how difficult this wing is to be casted. Ultimately, the lesson is now learnt, for the X-9 I am going with more parts, more complex designs in order to obtain a straight forward recasting process.
-
They look nice! The wing is really nice and smooth but there are a few bits of resin missing on this wing though
-
Incredible for a pen work, it really is like a airbrush work. How did you paint the head the color is perfectly matching!
-
Ha you are mentionning Sharon, I was wondering of making one Sharon in its computer form and make it enter into the drone as a form of pilot, but I thought it was too "off" from the official version where Sharon just hack into the drone control software
-
Thanks all! Meanwhile, if you think of a feature or possible upgrade, let me know. This is now or for the next revision
-
They should, first reason is because I prefer the x-9 without the pack
-
There has been a lot going on the model, half of it is now "printable". Not a lot of the work is visible but still for the expert eyes, here you go !
-
Who knows this is going to be the new "VF-25F renewal": unexpectably better than anticipated with low availability.
-
A cheaper method is to use ceramic material to 3D print it then make a mold from it. This method is used by cosplayers generally for armor parts etc
-
If only shapeways could cheaply print these parts ... The parts are coming out really nicely!
-
They are coming, hopefully with Jasonc's help. The 3D model is not yet finished yet btw, because I am optimizing them for recasting and a lot of details to finish

Thanks! The paintwork is made with 2 brushes, really basic: I made a mix of light brown and grey. I began with the lighter shade with the bigger brush, then I throw a few strike of darker before taking the smaller brush and I make a wash with the remaining paint

I didn't like the hands coming with the Yamato version. Hopefully they could at least fix that and give smaller articulated hands that could transform
-
That's a tad too big for my taste! In such big projects, I have been wondering about a 1/60 vajra from frontier, perhaps my next big plan, depends on what Macross delta shows us!

They look great! I can feel them already

They should, and they will almost match, but in this picture there is the lower portion of the supers that is not done / shown.
