  1. Its the one in Kelsain's post above. I was hoping someone could identify it by the pic he posted. I should have been clearer. If you know what it is please let me know. Thanks everyone for trying so far. I think jvmacross may have posted a pic of it in the box. Is that correct jv?
  2. Can you please or someone on here please tell me what type of version this valk is where the back pack stays up in fighter. My older brother (who passed away) traded someone on the playground when we were younger for one of these and he gave it to me for my birthday when I was 6. I have no idea what happened to it, but with all the high end valks I own, the best memory I have is swooshing this one in the picture around when I was a kid. If you know what it is, please let me know.
  3. Thank you also. Never knew the area of placement was called the nacelle. I only knew it was a warning stripe from another member on here who posted it once last year in a thread.
  4. I will buy this for sure. It will look evil as hell with the super pack kit and will also look great next to my Ozma 25. Here's hoping the Ozma 25-S is also reissued this year, I need a second one to keep in the box.
  5. Damn, I didn't even think of that. You're correct, you could pick up a nice AR-15, a real AR-15, for the amount they want for a plastic gun. That really puts it into perspective. Arcadia isn't winning points with me lately, crooked skulls on VF-1S's, off white arms, less Tampo on the Valks, and now a project for a $1,000 plastic gun.
  6. "I also decided it'd be appropriate to retain some of the "Macross-ness" of the pinstripes for the engines/legs and the nose/waist joint, so masked and painted them" The stripes on the legs are actualy a marker that shows where a danger area of the engine is (usually where the area of actual combustion happens after the air passes through the compressor) in an event of failure or malfuntion this is where it would explode. That's why Macross also has the little Red Rectangle sticker right behind it (it has the verbiage of the warning). Essentialy this is where the engine could detonate or explode. You'll see it on most F-14 Engines. Your work looks awesome and I'd buy it if it went for sale. I just thought you'd think its even cooler knowing the lines have a purpose since your making a real world looking VF-1
  7. No Iconic Yellow Armament Sticker towards the front? No UN SPACY Logo? Are the 3 barrels inside the shroud? It better be Decked Out with Tampo and have the three barrels rotate to be worth just $200.00.
  8. I just can't believe another repaint of a 29 is being announced before a reissue of Ozma's 25-S.
  9. If this is being released in May does that seriously mean that the 25S reissue is going to be after that? That sucks if so, two repaints of the 29 in between the reissue of Alto's 25.
  10. I'm more excited/hopeful about the 25S Renewal listed under it and hope it means the reissue is coming up.
  11. I love the cabinets. we're redoing our kitchen and those look very clean. No clutter. Yes, of course....the Regult is awesome also.
  12. It'll hit $300 everywhere but from a seller on here and possibly mandarake. I know it isn't worth that, but I remember the years where that's what you had to pay if you wanted one because nobody would come off the ones they have. Switching gears, are there any common dates or months when bandai makes their announcements?
  13. I may be all wrong here in this observation, but when i see the Alto VF-25F at $186.00 MIB at NY I think its a chance not to miss. I understand it's still a bit of a mark up, but that price for a valk that was once $300-$400 may be worth grabbing another copy. I don't think it will ever be reissued a third time. I know many have multiple copies, I'm just thinking out loud that I may pick another one up to keep sealed at that price. A bet a year from now it will be close to $300 everywhere outside of a seller on here.
  14. It would be obscure, but I'd buy a Jessica Blanc 171 sniper. I'd only get it though if it was somehow specialized and not just a CF171 with a sniper rifle.
  15. 1/60 Queadluun-Rhea and Enemy Vajra. Gotta have enemy and a Rhea in scale with the VF-25 series.
  16. The 25G blue looks great with the Ozma armor. Looks like it stepped out of the blue ray and onto the shelf with the colors.
  17. I don't think its yellowed. The missiles look to be the same color as the valk, the O-S came in a very off white. Understand though that on this specie example you may see a slight tint that I do not. I could be wrong. Either way, if your in the market for a 0-S a great way to determine if it is yellowed is to look at the missiles on the wing. If they match, it's good. I hope Arcadia does put one out in the future.
  18. A way to get rid of the priest collar would be to just allow it to be pushed down into a cavity within the fuselage. There's plenty of space behind the cockpit to put the head assembly/collar on molded rails that can slide down into the fuselage.
  19. Yes, the tape for wrapping ankles, fists for boxing, etc. NOT the tape for wrapping gauze on wounds. You'll see the texture on the athletic medical tape.
  20. Yeah, the ABS Laser should be in a little slot beside the clip that holds the gun pod on in the styrofoam tray.
  21. I placed white medical tape over the tops of mine and after a year on display they are fine. This is after I had the same bare tips eat a 1-A of mine. Not only did the medical tape stop the damage, but the medical tape is also textured and maintains the traction you need on the valk to keep it from slipping off. (get the athletic medical tape because it has the texture on it) I cut circles out of the tape and placed it over the tips.
  22. does that mean they did two seperate production lines, molds, etc for the high gloss 19? I've never seen it before, I'm going to track one down to check it out. I'd buy a Shin Kudo F-14 in a heartbeat.
  23. Congratulations, you've made what is one of the hardest purchases to make. "Do I buy a display case, or do I buy another Valk?" I love the Detolf and they look great behind glass. Good call on the Dioders also.
  24. Mandarake is just a really legit site in my opnion. They seem to really market to collectors, so if a valk like the 29 was opened and even transformed once, they would likely describe it the way they did.
