  1. Hey team, I have a question. Has anyone or does anyone see a long term risk of keeping the 25s in fighter mode with the armor parts on, mainly the bar that keeps the two legs tight together in the back. Since it naturally wants to open the legs up a little with the armor parts on, I was wondering if the stress caused by the bar pulling them in over a long time could damage it. I know it sounds picky but with how rare and expensive the S is without a reissue yet, I want to be safe. Any thoughts? I know we have some great tech people on here.
  2. Hey, Thanks a lot for this. This Site is like a live action wiki.
  3. Thanks, I didn't know if the cockpit went into the chest in the anime or if it truly stayed in the back like Bandai has it.
  4. Where does the pilot sit when the VF-25 is in Battroid mode? Is he in the chest like the VF-1 or does he really stay behind in the cockpit like Bandai has it? What's the cannon on this?
  5. The shapeways solution idea to the Hip issue is what we need. With everything that's been made, someone please engineer a solution to this, it's become the modern day reflection of the yamato shoulder solution.
  6. Agreed, I did his fix two days ago on my G hips and their tight now. Have a slight gap in the seam in the interior but since that piece is made of metal it's not an issue. the nail polish only worked on the shoulder ball but not the hips. thanks for posting that video!
  7. One thing that we all love about our Bandai's is hearing the soft crinkle of that plastic bag wrapped around the valk inside the styrofoam. At least I do, but I read somewhere that keeping Toys within plastic accelerates yellowing but if you put holes in the bag it reduces the acceleration. I noticed that Bandai does have holes in the bag and please understand, I know yellowing happens no matter what and don't want a yellowing dispute. We all agree though that there are accelerators of the process. My question is, do you feel safe leaving it in the plastic bag for storage or would you take it out?
  8. All Good, reminds me of busting on my friends back home. It was welcome People on this site are great. Outside of the Tampo topic also, I would like to see Arcadia do something with the undercarriage and swing-arm detail like Bandai has done with their 25's. A huge opportunity there to improve an already great design. When you look at it, its really just left bland.
  9. I was able to tighten the shoulders and arms by unscrewing the rear of the shoulder and using the nail polish on the ball. Then I had to use lock tight adhesive to seal it and it is now tight and still able to be open and modified again. Scary doing it to 250-300 dollar toys though.
  10. If it's just the ejection it's cool, I just want to be sure nothing else is missing. I don't have the skill others do to model and sticker. Cool, thanks Dave. I will continue spending money in this wonderful suffering we call Macross collecting.
  11. Yes I know I used the wrong usage of there instead of their. Don't want any grammar feedback, although it would just be the friendly jabs we expect.
  12. Thanks, I'll wait for there response, David is usually accurate. I just want to be sure the data isn't leaning to a bare tampo valk.
  13. Does anyone have a confirmation on what is and what is not being tampo'd? If it's just the ejection seat, it's still a buy, but if it comes like the 1/48's with no kite, no skull emblem on the fuselage and only tampo stripes and tail fins then I am out totally. So does anyone actually know what is and what is not being tampo'd? Just want to level set understanding on the forum.
  14. Anyone have a technique for tightening these? I know with other toys you can tighten them with finger nail polish but I don't know how to get to the joing on the 25's. Someone on here who is a modder knows how I'm sure. If you do, please post.
  15. If the height you quoted is not correct and is a mistake then I'm in. 10.2cm tall is only 4 inches...almost as tall as a little GI Joe guy. Is it really only going to be 10.2cm?
  16. If this ha seen covered earlier I apologize, but why did bandai spell Valkyrie wrong on the YF-29 Alto version? It's spelled with an "i" on the alto version on the front of the box instead of a "y". Was it a mistake or is that how it was really spelled for some reason with that version?
  17. They are on ALL V-2 DYRL VF-1's. The only V-2 VF-1's that didn't have the ejection symbol are the TV VF-1's although the TV 1-S and 1-ACF have them. I just think its an iconic symbol of the VF-1 that should be Tampo'd just like the Jet Intake Symbol.
  18. The Ejection Seat Warning symbol is a CORE marking on the VF-1 just like the Intake Warning Symbols. If they choose not to have the Ejection Seat Warning Triangle Tampo Printed and make us put a BS sticker on the nose that will look just like what it is which is a sticker, It will be a deal breaker for me on the pre order I have. I'll buy an earlier version DYRL for the increased Tampo. Very bad decision in my opinion if its really been deleted.
  19. No worries man, you've just kinda become the Moody's of Macross analysis and ratings.
  20. The anymoon video review will be a great one to show the differences. I bet after the review we will see it was well worth the purchase with the upgrades made.
  21. First look at our Arcadia Packaging, how deep is the box, is it a thinner profile now or is it still the same size as the yamato boxes?
  22. Thanks man, I'll try this tonight, keeping it closed is what I'm missing, my biggest problem was just what you said: the c clamp kept swinging back when I'd try to clip it to the crotch piece.
