I wouldn't buy to VF-1S's (a Roy and a Hikaru) If you want one for memories, buy the VF-1J 1/60. And then get the Roy TV in order to have a 1S...just my opinion.

I thought of that Kicker. With me, the room is really for my display and I'd rather have them all together, TV is secondary, if it even stays. I may put my books/journals/papers in between the windows and keep it a study. I really just need a millionaire boss with a penthouse and lab on a rolling semi like knight rider. The painting is kinda like porn.

Attached, you can see where the filter ends (yellow arrow). I think I should be ok with the TV, my desk is directly behind me in the photos (looking at both windows) and the blinds with the curtains capture the sun pretty well, so much so that they kinda glow. Reality is, I'd likley be looking at the painting more than the T.V.

Don't know if anyone else has done this. I installed a UV filter on my detolfs because I don't have a room with no windows. You can see in this picture how everything is captured and reflected off the filter. If I shut the natural daylight LED's off in my room during the day, no sun makes it into the Detolfs. Very easy to install, just cut it to size, spray a mixture of soap and water on the glass and place it on. You can easily take them back off also if you want to remove them in order to clean the glass underneath, then just follow the same process to put them back on. Just wanted to share in case anyone was in my situation. Cost $27.99 on amazon.

don't know about taking it apart, but the idea of a control room is excellet and original....it makes sense also since the launch arms are controlled by what I would assume are deck personel. Great idea man, I think it looks good with where you have the room now.

Where/how do you get the news that there is a release coming or what site to order from when it does happen, my understanding is you can only order them for about 5-10 minutes and they're gone.

Killing me that there are just none to be found under 400. I lucked out and got a renewal G for 225 shipped but the F is impossible to get. I was literally angry a day ago when I was browsing for one.

Do you give up? That's my question, anywhere you find them they are 350-400. Anyone see this ever coming down or more qty coming? Just wondering if you should give up or bite the bullet and drop 300. Very frustrating. I never see them posted for sale anywhere outside of evil bay and they are all 400 and above.

Need a small liquer stand to cover up the cords and I'm done. I used a piece of aluminum drip siding from lowes and painted it black to cover up the cords on the top. It was hard to stop buying valks long enough to get the detolf's but it was the best thing I've done in a very long time. Office/Anime Lounge Room is almost done. . . . thank you to: EXO - for his shapeways Gundam Stand adaptors. Kurisama's Rau hands from his shapways store and inspiration to tear apart my Rau and paint it. DarrinG for the custom gun strap. Chowser for locating me a VF-0A off the wanted page. To a Macross member who pointed me to Nippon Yasan where I got my 25G renewal (i deleted my messages...don't remember the screen name, but they saved me over a $100)

A question about using Gundam Stands with Yamato Valkyries

Works great for Battroid mode. Your adaptor is great EXO. The stand is extended to the maximum and it holds fine. I love this stand with the adaptor

I have 1 of 4 Yamato prototypes in 1/32. My father got one as he assisted the two engineers who developed it but it was never released, the size caused difficulty in the hinging mechanism. It is unpainted, and massive. It also has the robotic arms that come out of the right forearm. Just kidding.

My question is around the version 2 vf1j Hikaru. Are all of them the tv version bright white or are some of them the off white dyrl color. I'm asking because I see some that say tv version and some that do not. I have a 30th 1J but want a second one to keep in the sealed box but want to make sure it's bright white. Anyone know? Also I already bought the replacement hinges in case I get a version that has the shoulder issue, I'm just concerned with the color. Also, many thanks to anymoon, I recommend any new collector study his site first and then start choosing your purchases.

Way to get a hook into steering them towards some Macross display, I'd like to see the 1/24 Valk...has to be huge. I'd like to go to a convention once and get to browse for Macross Valks, etc and purchase them rather than always purchasing online. Something about seeing it, buying it, and taking it home.

I noticed on the posting of the Yamato event showcasing the VF-4, there was a showcase with the 30th anniversary logo on it, I saw max's 1j in there, is that case showing the valks that will be released? I saw the ones that have been released so far in the case as well.

Yep, both of the ejection ports are there, one in the rear for when its collapsed in fighter and one in the middle for when its extended in battroid

Roy was such a badass he didn't even need a booster to get into space. He flew down, beat the snot out of some pods, picked up Hikaru and Flew into space to meet up with the sdf-1

Thought I'd start this thread up for people like me who have a hard time finding out what conventions would have macross stuff and what kind wouldn't, or maybe I am the only one. Please populate with any conventions you know of in 2013 that would warrant a macross fan attending: dates, location, and web address if you can.

I hadn't seen shell casing effects anywhere on the web. I realized today when i was doing this that Yamato even molded in the ejection port into the GU-11. There's one in the rear for when its collapsed in fighter mode and another one in the center for when it's extended in battroid.

55MM Shell Casings Ejecting. Just did it today, used some old GI Joe machine gun rounds (heavy weapons viper) for the shells. Its one detail I always associate with Macross.
