  1. Fast forwarded through all of it looking for the A-plot in about 5 seconds. Nada. See ya next week.
  2. The only thing I'll say to the casting is, shouldn't Robert April be older?
  3. Just to add... Moon Knight touches on the supernatural, which is something they haven't touched on, so this is probably intro piece. It's part of the MCU but hasn't gotten around to affecting the rest of the MCU, at large. Depending on how well it fairs, will decide if Moon Knight will pop up elsewhere. Maybe in Mahershala Ali's upcoming Blade-film would be a good place to tie them in to the larger MCU.
  4. Good interlude/story episode. Perfect. I can skip this episode then and take a week off. See ya in 2 weeks. Maybe in S2. I am waiting for the rocket launcher, which I know they made a prop for.
  5. Yes. ☝️. 'Till then... Mod Note: Our patience with this topic is very thin and we have been through this several times over the near 2 decades MW has been around. Should the peanut gallery come out, we have no qualms locking this thread and keeping it that way for another decade.
  6. I was going to say, there's nowhere in any multiverse that junk mail DOESN'T exist. 😭 Extended warranty on fold drives, Windermerian princes who will offer you large amounts of fold quartz, some General Galaxy banking subsidiary who will offer 0% APR (Terms and Conditions apply).
  7. Sounds like it's official. Florence Pugh and Austin Butler have been cast as Princess Irulan and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, respectively. Production apparently has started with principal filming starting in July.
  8. Episode 5 A-story. Progress! And some 'good olde Master Chief action. B-story. Madrigal is beyond boring now. Glass the planet so we never have to see it again.
  9. I kinda like the approach they took to Bruce and his mission; being more obsessed with vengeance, more about being Batman than being Bruce Wayne and keeping up appearances at this stage of being Batman. He's just beginning to realize the things his family tried to do to help the city so they should focus on expanding that. For the next movie, I would like them to start introducing the billionaire playboy philanthropist who uses the Wayne Foundation to better the lives of Gotham. As I mentioned above, the next movie should have this Bruce start streamlining the Bat-suit into more of something closer to the modern depiction of the Bat-suit. Fatter ears for a start (to incorporate the radio into his cowl).
  10. Wandavision is definitely hard to get started with. It doesn't make much sense until we get closer to the modern sitcom-ascetic. You're watching a lady who's working out her depression and grief through this town she took over. You're looking essentially inside her head in this show. It doesn't make any sense. But that's the point. Unfortunately, it is a pre-req for Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness so you might want to brush up on the events of the series before watching that flick.
  11. The A-story (Master Chief) was a lead-up story so I'll let that one go. The Madrigal girl B-story is un-interesting. If they did away with it, I wouldn't notice it since it's that boring. In the game timeline, the Covenant glassed Madrigal. That would redeem that storyline now.
  12. I think it's implied that since his encounters with the Osborns, he's had time to reflect and think of what he could have done differently. They're not only plucked out from a different part of the multiverse but plucked out from different points of time from their universes so Tobey-Peter was plucked at an older age than when he faced Norman and has had time to think about a cure for the Osborns and the Goblin-serum.
  13. 'Could've sworn I read McElhone was playing Cortana and Jen Taylor was voicing...Guess I read that wrong. Regardless...awful styling on the wig.
  14. My only complaint about Cortana is, they need a better wig on Ms. McElhone. Or a better hair style, like somewhere close a Halo 4/Halo 5: Guardians-hair style or less volumizing shampoo. They did offer Episode 1 on Youtube for free. But it was only available for 2 weeks.
  15. Children, play nice. Otherwise it's a Time Out for a bunch of you.
  16. I actually kinda hate that among modern TV. Limited/single run serial series is fine, but full 20-some episode recurring seasons? No. You can use plot points of previous episodes or an overarching plot, but there are times I DO NOT want to sit through an entire 10-20-some serial episode season just to reach what can be a disappointing finale. "But what about the Journey...?" In my youth, I could sit through it, but not as I get older and when I have less time; I gotta break it up into episodic watching.
  17. It’s the same reason why we don’t see M.A.S.H. or I Dream of Jeannie or The Transformers (G1) on TV all the time. There’s a plethora of other programming on TV and only so much time they can allocate. They're lucky they can even air it during anniversary events.
  18. We, the audience knows the particulars of Pike's fate. But the character, Pike, doesn't. He doesn't know which J-class starship or which cadets he will be working with, what the training mission is. And maybe when that day finally comes he thinks he can beat fate when it happens.
  19. I'm willing to overlook some issues like drones making an electrical sun-umbrella, but the "Time's Arrow"-flub reminds me why I don't like Kurtzman or anyone who came from the Abrams-group. The Lower Decks writing group seems to be the only ones who respect the continuity.
  20. No different than any other movie of TV show with exclamation points in their titles. For example, Airplane!, Top Secret!, Mamma Mia!, American Dad!, Just Shoot Me!, Teen Titans Go! or Moulin Rouge!. Ignore the exclamation points if it bothers you so much.
  21. I'd say keep your pants on, but she's a bedside/surgical nurse and probably seen it all...Guess we're past the "Hello Nurse!" stage here... 🤨
  22. He is Andorian...more appropriately, an Andorian sub-species called Aenar; Andorians from the northern regions who are traditionally blind and telepathic.
