  1. Definitely the original version. The crotch is completely flat. And although i will buy the Super Parts if released separately, i think the baby purple makes the whole thing look a bit like a fabulous butterfly.
  2. Also you may be looking at the D with super parts rather than the standalone release?
  3. At least you would probably be able to find the Christmas box. How many people would spend 60000 YEN again? But if it was announced as a Tamashii Nations 2013 exclusive... That would be amazing forum material !

    DX VF-25G

Hi guys, I found some photos - for those of us who might be waiting for a while even though they have pre-ordered :-/ http://nov.2chan.net/y/res/2628862.htm
  5. I prefer the bright yellow but definitely wanted the fluorescent green canopy. Maybe they did it so as to keep the purple of the YF-29 as a color referring to the original, the way the yellow refers to the VF-1s? Although there was some green too on the nose. Come to think of it the YF-29 was rather busy!
  6. It might also have to do with the fact that Yamato is releasing so similar products so close to each other. VF-19s and VF-19f, then you have VF-17s and VF-17d. How can these not end up on a sale if the initial retail price is almost the double!! The people who will go all out and buy each and every variant cannot be that many. You can buy almost as many as 3 VF-1s for the price of a VF-17, so it's not the same. It also did 3 batches of VF-19 Kai with only a few months intervals and eventually some stores have had to put that on sale too!

    DX VF-25G

Personally i find the blue of the G a perfect match for the colors of its tornado packs. The whole unit looks seamless, while the F with tornado packs not so much. But that's all from what i have seen on the net, i haven't owned either version 1.
  8. Well the value doesn't really matter. This is an estimate for a parcel weighing 2.5kgs. That's how much the Patlabor Ingram had weighed, and there's no way the VF-4 will match it. I think the actual EMS cost will be around 4000YEN, so around $70? And the standard mail will not be that much cheaper unfortunately (unlike buying from Hong Kong sellers)
  9. Will the VE-1 come in the same box i wonder? You know, the one that looks like you could store a duvet in?
  10. Hi, For whomever is interested, these are the VF-1 Kakizaki and Max. I got them new - for Max's i had to fight a bit but since i had won Kakizaki's i wouldn't let it go so easily - i think i may keep them in their boxes for now. Still you can see the top details. The Max variant has a slightly more severe weathering around the middle. D
  11. Agree with the above comments. I bought the VF-19 sound booster that was heavily discounted at HKColl. and it came new (or at least flawless inside because Yamato does not seal these latest boxes i think) and well packed.
  12. And orange logos and green visors! It's the 80s version of Macross Frontier
  13. Don't have them yet. I didn't pre-order on time so i'm using a proxy service. As if they weren't expensive enough!
  14. Is it too weird that i got the VF-25s Armored Parts to use on a VF-25F i have on display? My Ozma is still in the box and I didn't want to buy both customs right now, so i thought i'll buy the Ozma which is bound to be harder to find. I can imagine this being the case with any Tornado Parts that come along unless they are priced sensibly.
  15. The YF-19/VF-19 design was the first design that really caught my eye, but off-white, green, yellow, and orange together? No thanks, you can have it! I prefer the white, gray, yellow and teal!
  16. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu-J9p0oes4 at 24:00 Rather white, but i agree that it was not pure white. Still i think it'd look better in white with all those secondary colors everywhere!
  17. I'm sure most people did not expect it to be less than the VF-17s so that's not too bad. It's just that there won't be any discounts, plus also a small premium perhaps?
  18. Oh no, not obligatory stands. Ever since my experience with handling the Aquarion SOCs i've developed a phobia! Although with this i too prefer the fighter mode so don't mind very much!
  19. I don't mean to panic anyone, but what if there is some QC issue and then you are left with 3 or even two flawed pieces? Especially since it's a brand new design, and it will cost loads? For coming releases that we already have a variant of such as the VF-17D or VF-19F you know what to expect, and from what i recall the May 11 release of VF-19 kai had problematic ankles?
  20. The thing is that if an official EU importer made these available and i simply chose to buy Japanese versions for my own crazy collector's reasons, it would make sense to pay huge taxes. But there isn't for Yamato. For instance with Bandai's classic Soul Of Chogokin line i can buy the EU imported versions from Italy, which i do. Of course with Macross DX Chogokins, like this YF-29 VF-1s version, there's no stock available for anyone to import anyway...
  21. I feel for you. I also live in the EU and i pay ridiculous amounts of tax. Our US friends have no idea how easy they have it! For instance i got the VF-17S from Amiami on Christmas= about 275$ + 40$ EMS shipping + 90$ Tax. Yes, about 400$ - which is why I am skipping the VF-17D, since it's too much for just one valk - . I can only start crying from now about how much i'll have to pay for the VF-4 since there won't even be that 10% discount...
  22. Thank you for offering. I have managed to find random pictures of the VF-1S 1/60 but not the VF-1As obviously because they are less popular. The thing is i'm not crazy about the off white of the DYRL scheme so the weathering makes it more appealing to me. If i get one i'll post photos.
  23. I'm curious as to how you concluded that the people who posted do not want a renewal. I thought they all said the exact opposite.
