Oh God, i swear, B_A_T_'s photos could sell me anything. And they have actually have... i bought a Linebarrel mecha before i knew what i had done, and this is having a similar effect - i had promised my debit card not to buy this.

Lol, i thought the same thing. But I'm sure he is just too much into his work and probably uses it to handle small parts. I cannot imagine that he keeps it for aesthetic reasons, or worse!

I have not opened my YF-29 anniversary, but my original YF-29's shoulder pieces rest in the box. Rather than scratching them when transforming it back to fighter i just gave up.

Sorry, but how can (and why would?) Yamato advise when the online retailers will be able to ship their pre-orders? Seriously, you just need to repeat this to know it sounds bonkers! So yes, it means is that on the 25th they will start going out to Japanese customers and online re-sellers.

Actually i wouldn't expect to get any sort of authentic sound unless it cost in the thousands. For me it's like like buying a Triforce Mass Effect gun replica - i would not expect it to shoot, but it does have some light up features :-) Any value as a collectible will really be about how it looks, don't you think? Which is pretty much the case with too many other collectibles to list, such as Volks statues that can easily cost 100 000 something YEN and that i can never understand what people find in them....

Are you expecting the guitar to be priced at equal or less than the VF-17 1/60 ? :-) $300 is unrealistic. Yamato doesn't seem to be too concerned making their valkyrie collectibles attractive in terms of prices so why would they start now with a guitar?! And even if it is $300 so you can be sure to add some crazy shipping cost (from Japan EMS and regular airmail make little difference for heavy items), and if you live in EU a nice customs charge so the $300 will become double that. Aargh!

Personally i expect the neutral colours and the sharp fighter mode to have proven more appealing to the less hardcore fan than some of the really toyish-looking recent releases like the VF-19, and most of the Macross Frontier. I had read posts from people who normally collect only Transformers or only non-transforming aircrafts etc. say that they would order this.

Although i too prefer the darker shade or red and and brown, the white looks a bit unattractive. I think a snow-white might have fared better. One of B_A_T_'s photos at flickr showed it to be a snow-white and it looked much better that pure white.

Apparently the Yamato website shows this (and the VF-1 parts) as to be released next week. Should i hold my breath?

Something tells me that if the VF-4G box comes with a teaser about a possible Christmas 2013 exclusive, this thread will dry up pretty soon! :-P

Actually it would be cheaper for 75% of the people from this forum. Even if proxy buying shops added a service charge they would start competing with each other and that charge would end up being something like 1000 Yen! Just look how attractive are the prices for the current Tamashii Exclusives!

But the VF-25G renewal itself would still be a year and a half away. I don't know if it's any indication but the VF-27s at Yahoo Japan Auctions still sell for about 25000YEN. Perhaps the japanese people know something we don't!
