  1. Mospeada fans be like: @Podtastic be like:
  2. Wow, I guess Lloyd's proven more popular than expected...! We're gonna need it... They only ever appeared in groups of three, after all.
  3. To be fair, that "weird pedo thing" had already been established with Lalah Sune in the original series...
  4. The ship is called the Brünhild, and it's just over a kilometer in length... meaning a 1:8000 scale kit will be a stupidly small 125mm (less than five inches long).
  5. Just out of curiosity, do you use the same argument to defend the gawdawful Jupiter Ascending?
  6. You guys just can't wait for me to paint these Bioroids, can you? Actually, "Satan Claws" frequently turned his head... Even a full 90 degrees, a couple of times. Dude, you've satisfied a craving I've had for 35 years! It's a joy to be building Bioroids. That said, there are a few little things that bug me about the kit... As you can see, I've decided to remove the ball-joints from the toes, and sand them down thin like the anime (and the model sheets) depict them: Also, thanks to your feedback, I've tweaked the blue mix just a little.
  7. Based on all available evidence, I'd say the answer is a resounding "no..." ...but hey, stranger things have happened. Nickelodeon's 2012 reinterpretation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mythos turned out to be better than any previous cartoon, comic book, or film version, and remained fairly consistent in quality for five whole years! Still, my expectations for Star Trek: Prodigy remain almost as low as they are for Picard's second season.
  8. Only very slightly, if that... Too many greeblies in the way. Oh, that's weeks away. I'm still testing colors at this stage.
  9. At 25 minutes apiece, I prefer the TV episodes to the two-and-half hour slog each of the films represents... and it's the same dated animation either way. One significant advantage is the 20th anniversary audio track, however. The cast re-recorded all the dialogue for the films, and a lot of the cheesy '70s music cues and sound effects were also changed.
  10. I'm just amazed by the mobility you were able to coax from this design, Cap'... I'm having great fun just engineering poses.

  12. Just the initial rough assembly, to determine the size and type of joints I'll require for articulating the 'Lloyds. Indeed, as we have debated at length in the Mospeada thread, the official stats are whack. The Legioss may have been intended as a much smaller aircraft than the fairly conventional-sized jets they're depicted as in the animation, but as a fan of the show itself (rather than just the mecha designs), I think what's consistently depicted onscreen trumps whatever measurements the studio decides to publish. As much as the Sentinel represents the definitive Legioss toy, most of us would agree that it's stupidly small... certainly closer to 1:60 scale than 1:48. Moscato's "Buster" is the definitive Legioss model, but lack of availability means it's not really a viable option... Thankfully, Evolution Toy's Legioss is almost the same size, and scales more coherently with other 1:48 models (including Sentinel's pilot figures). "Rowboat-Tech to the rescue!"
  13. For those of you curious about how Lloyd scales with his fellow 1:48th mecha: I'm REALLY pleased with the size, Cap'n.
  14. "I could take out a Gundam with this thing!" I collect third-party Masterpiece Transformers. I'm used to waiting three or four years.
  15. Er... I'm not sure if MEP's prototype fits the definition of "proper." More like "Here's my homage to the Matchbox toy. Maybe Super7 will produce the design for their ReAction line." I thought their design was even worse, but I admire your decision to back it and I respect your sacrifice.
  16. Nothing to report here.
  17. I'm trying to do the same with Master Grade kits, but it's damned expensive tracking down all those P-Bandai exclusives... I can't find the powered GM for under $100!
  18. I see you spent some time setting up that shot. Geez, those hover sleds look huge! Are they solid resin? i wonder what I could use as a flight stand...
  19. Apart from the five Invid figures already mentioned, MEP has also publicly displayed prototypes for: Khyron Azonia Exedore Dolza Miriya Nova Satori Marie Crystal Dana Sterling Maia Sterling M-32 Hover Cycle VF-8 Logan VHT-1 Hovertank Others have been mentioned on Facebook, but I don't count 'em until physical prototypes have been confirmed... ...but yeah, you're not looking hard enough.
  20. You bought back your own Valk! How incestuous!

    Macross figures

Now there's a statement nobody ever said ever.
  22. That seems to be the general consensus on the Toyark forums... like, "maybe this will lead to decent toys from the Burton/Schumacher films, 'cause Mattel already did Batman '66 to death!"
  23. Sure... except for the TR-6. Talk about Gundam in-name-only... Lame.
