  1. Well, yeah... except with Peter Cullen, and not set in the Bayverse. 😅
  2. CGI robots that can believably co-exist with live-action actors, sure... MUCH too expensive. However, if Transformers: Prime is any indication, a fully-CGI film with big-name actors doing voices could be made for a fraction of the cost of a live-action film... ...and, if Transformers: Prime is any indication, it would likely be a helluva lot better than anything from the Bayverse. 🙄 Heck, just imagine if Netflix had used the budget of their War For Cybertron trilogy to make a feature-film instead; they could've afforded real writers, professional voice actors, and more than just a small handful of character models. For a ten million-dollar investment, they could've make fifty million off the Transformers name alone... and sold a whole lot more toys than a streaming series could ever hope to do (regardless of the quality of the film).
  3. In nearly four decades of Transformers collecting, I've never even imagined such a thing... and yet it's not a fan custom, nor even a third-party, but an official release that's the first to do it. 😲
  4. Stolen, maybe... Knock-offs, unlikely. NECA hasn't even distributed the originals yet. And like Bandai, NECA's marketing practices are just feeding the scalpers and pirates. Under-produced exclusives fail to meet the demand from fans and collectors, creating lucrative opportunities on the secondary market. In the case of these Lawson turtles, NECA has been marketing them since NYCC last July: Yet, almost a year later, we still have no word from NECA on when and how they will be distributed, in what quantities, or how they can be pre-ordered. If they're going to create the demand for their product, advertise them on their checklist, and yet leave fans waiting a year or more, ambitious people are going to swoop in and take advantage of the situation however they can. Is it any wonder frustrated fans will indulge them?
  5. This has got to be the laziest repurposing Hasbro has ever attempted: Same figure, same accessories, same paint scheme... ...same packaging design, same logo, same picture, even! They're just claiming it's a different character now. 🙄
  6. It's not canon, it's a misinterpretation of this vintage promo art: The vintage model kit that sported this packaging art got it right... The larger-scale "conversion" kit also got it right... Heck, even the much-maligned Evolution Toy got it right. Sentinel did a great job with their interpretation of the Legioss, but they definitely fumbled the ball on the stabilizer markings.
  7. Yes, but even using the promotional artwork you chose, there are major discrepancies in the shape: The sculpt still needs major work, I'd say. 🤨
  8. Cockpit and quad cannons already look great!
  9. BBTS is still using this image: ...and while I took issue with the proportions and some of the details of that prototype... ...it's vastly superior to what we're now seeing. 🙄
  10. Note to Kitz Concept: Fabric does not scale. 😒 It's time to rethink that strategy. 🤕
  11. What a ridiculous Photoshop fail. 🙄 "The Flashtrail goes under the Batwing, you idiot!"
  12. This has always been my favorite image of the Destroid Tomahawk in Macross: The mayor's limousine, known as a "Red Imperial 99," is driven by Lynn Kaifun in ep.31. It's the crux of a dramatic and memorable scene between Minmay and Hikaru. It's a very stylish, futuristic luxury automobile. @captain america is currently developing a 1:48 Tomahawk as a resin kit, and a 1:48 Red Imperial 99 would complement it very well, I should think.
  13. Cost of materials, manufacturing and labor have resulted in MSRPs twice what they used to be, and -- since the cost-cutting RE:100 line has been discontinued -- the market has shrunk to us die-hards willing to pay exorbitant prices for Gundam Fix Figuration, Metal Build, and model kits at 1:100 scale. Unfortunately, the retail standard is now 1:144, 'cause that's all the average consumer can afford any more. 🤕
  14. You will see dates, prices, and links posted when they're announced.
  15. It was not "good," merely less reprehensible than previous seasons... or indeed, most anything produced under Kurtzman's auspices. 🤕
  16. It appears they just assembled the left elbow backwards. 🙄
  17. "Non-scale" is an industry-standard abbreviation that means "We're not concerned with accuracy, we're not interested in consistency, and we're perplexed by arithmetic." 🙄
  18. There's no school like the oldskool! Given ARII literally painted over the line art, I'd say that's the best reference to work from.
  19. I assumed this was another series of Japanese-animated shorts, like the first season... It turns out these aren't Japanese, and are therefore best watched in English instead.
  20. ...and that's why it sold out in minutes. Never frakkin' mind, then. 😡
  21. Micro Galaxy Squadron, eh? Apart from the Falcon, those look pretty good. Being Target exclusives, we're unlikely to see them distributed outside of North America. 😐
