  1. Got mine in. No QC issues. I think kanjnrig was right in his summary of the Amazon reviews. Most people who rated it low seem to have little to no experience with these toys.
  2. I just use the instructions and I never had any rage-inducing problem transforming any of the Bandai/Yamato/Arcadia valks. But I will admit that the only one that really gave me trouble from the Bandai valks was the single step of pegging the lock mechanism on the Sv-262 for gerwalk mode, but that was mostly because I was scared to apply too much force rather than not knowing how to do it. @nightmareB4macross The pic you posted was for the Arcadia YF-19. But you are correct about the hip position for the Bandai YF-19.
  3. I hope Amiami ships mine tomorrow on a Saturday. It’s a holiday this Monday in Japan so I don’t want to wait till Tuesday for it to be shipped out.
  4. No, the booster doesn’t light up. That image of it lit up is from the anime. It’s just referencing what scene it’s from.
  5. Up to this day, I have been unable to open the front landing gear doors on my YF-30. It won’t budge and I don’t want to force such a thin piece of plastic
  6. Based on your pic, I'm guessing you're a fellow Filipino collector. Where'd you get it? Did you get it locally or from online? I get almost all of my stuff from online stores as the local ones rarely stock Macross items anymore
  7. Hope everyone passing up on this design means it will be easier for me to preorder it on Monday. I’m a sucker for Eva-01 toys, having owned several different iterations of it throughout the years. This design brings something new to the table. I’ve had my fill of the anime-accurate look.
  8. I don’t think he really was much of a fan of Voltes V. He didn’t know how to say the “V” at first until he was corrected. He also placed a fist on the Voltes Bazooka. Any fan will know that it’s supposed to be an open palm since that becomes the handle and trigger for the gun.
  9. No, sorry I don’t. The only Voltes V toy I ever had before this one was the original Godaikin (which due to my foolishness as a child, broke the Crewzer on the first day). And like many others, I played the hell out of it, eventually letting it deteriorate over time not realizing that it would go up in value.
  10. I don’t know if it’s supposed to replace the SRC line. But I think this is more high quality than those. Is also taller. I’ve always wanted to do the “Electro-magnetic top” attack pose.
  11. Anybody else get their SoC FA Voltes V yet? Mine just arrived and first impressions are mostly positive. You’re basically getting what was advertised. A hyper poseable action figure with a good amount of diecast and a full complement of accessories. I think the only thing that was surprising was just how small it is in person (roughly 7.5 inches). As for what I would’ve liked more: (1) for the base to hold all the accessories and not just the hand parts, (2) effect parts like lightning or fire blasts. Otherwise I’m happy to finally have a new Voltes V toy in my possession after just having the original Godaikin back in the 80’s.

Are you supposed to angle the arms lower in fighter mode when the super parts are attached? My only real gripe with the VT-1 is the included fighter stand adapter (which I’m glad is back), is too wide to fit between the legs when the fast packs are on, unless of course you angle them outward which I don’t want to do. The only solution I can think of is to lower the arms.

Got my VT-1 this morning and I gotta say, this whole mismatching color thing is way too exaggerated IMO. If anyone is thinking of selling theirs MISB because of it, let me know. I’ll be willing to buy them off you at a discount.
  15. For me, the answer is simpler than you think. It’s because the Messer VF-1 didn’t come with any add-on parts. Was thinking of getting the armor for the CF 1A too at first, but thought it would make it look like a hero and I didn’t want that.
  16. Here’s another with the missile bays open
  17. @gochow Here you go
  18. Too bad you weren’t born in the late 70’s or 80’s. The cartoons shown during the 80’s were some of the best, in terms of story, character designs, and animation. Themes were more mature and animation was mostly outsourced to Japanese studios. Unfortunately, today there seems to be a trend where they’re digging up these classics and bastardizing them IMO (Voltron, newest Thundercats, etc). I know there are a lot of fans of the new Voltron, but I honestly can’t imagine how someone can stand what they did to Coran or even Hunk. Turned them into annoying and unfunny comic reliefs. And don’t get me started on Thundercats. Not even sure why they’re doing this. Kids today don’t have any connection to these franchises and older fans like myself will not like what they’re doing to them. There’s no reason to revive these franchises. They should’ve just made a new original one instead.
  19. Okay, I’ll take a photo when I get home later.
  20. Mine just showed up at my doorstep. Very surprised as I wasn’t expecting it to be delivered straight to my home as opposed to having to pick it up at the post office. Wonder what shipping method they used. Anyways, got the 000 only and put it on my Messer. Looks good and came with a lot of stuff. They even threw in a $5 off coupon on my next purchase. Now contemplating if I want to get another set just for the shield and back cannon parts.
  21. I hope they provide a tracking number when they ship these out.
  22. How’d you end up turning them the wrong way? Were the feet backwards?
  23. None of my HMR VF-1s have that issue... and I have all of the variants so far. Besides they all have swivels in the knees, so don’t see why anyone can’t adjust it to their liking.
