  1. Oops. Sorry, I got a little confused going back and forth between this thread and some of the other game sites. At first, I thought cash-grab DLC's were becoming a nuisance during the PS3/XB360 era, and now we have day 1 patches.
  2. Thanks for the heads up! The thing is, there's still a required day 1 patch for the PS4 version. I'm not sure just how serious are these "stability and performance issues" the patch is supposed to fix, but I just don't like the fact that I have to waste 3.5 GB and spend at least 2 hours staring at a download bar before I can even play the damn game. Either way, I'll see if I can play the game without the patch. And if it turns out that I do need it after all, I'll just uninstall the game, get the patch and re-install. I only recently found out that Bloodborne also required a day 1 patch which was 4 f**king GB. But aside from being unable to get a certain piece of garb after defeating an NPC enemy, it works fine. Hopefully, it's the same case with Arkham Knight.
  3. Glad to see the GoT threads are back...even though book readers seem to be treated like Wildlings right now. So, Euron Greyjoy's making an appearance in the next season? At this point, I thought they might have omitted the character from the show. I remember that he has a horn or something, basically a device used by the Targaeryens to control their dragons. It's probably only a matter of time before he meets Dany. And given his debonair description, it sounds like Daario might have some competition there.
  4. As a matter of fact, I plan on watching Southern Cross after Mospeada. The Robotech version confused the frak out of me so much that I skipped it altogether back in the day.
  5. I'd hate to waste 3.5 GB on a patch (not to mention the time it takes to download it...God help me if a thunderstorm suddenly hits before it completes downloading) but if it's got to be done, it's got to be done. What worries me is that these damn day 1 patches are starting to become a trend.
  6. I decided to go "old school" and watch some eps of Mospeada (not the bastardized Robotech - A New Generation version). Surprisingly watchable for an 80's anime. The opening and ending themes never get old.
  7. I just googled Arkham Knight regarding the day 1 patch for the PS4. 3.5 GB?! Really?! That's almost a quarter of my monthly internet quota right there. Now I've read the usual, "then get a better internet package!" posts on countless game forums whenever someone brings this up, but still. At over 60 USD retail (more like 70-75 USD in Malaysia), you'd think they'd bother to give you a polished/finished product. With that said, several reviewers stated that their test copies ran perfectly well even without the patch, so I might just get the game and skip the patch altogether. I don't need the DLC setup or the silly TV show skin, so I guess it should be fine.
  8. I don't think they'd start making slim versions so soon. Doesn't seem to have been that long since the PS4's release.
  9. Yup, that'd be me. Actually, I wouldn't say I liked JPIII the most, since the original JP is still the best in my book.
  10. TF Devastation has been quite the hot topic at many TF fansites. The only thing that bothers me is that apparently, there won't be playable Decepticons. I hope this is just a rumor, but playable 'Cons would have added a ton of replay value. Impressive! I've been lurking around zbrushcentral.com recently, and it's really given me an appreciation of environmental lighting, rendering UV maps, and other technical aspects of game development.
  11. If the FF7 remake sell enough copies, there's every chance that they'll remake other FF titles. I'd love to see FF Tactics in PS4 graphics. I've heard to many good things about the game (the storyline and characters apparently leave FF7 in the dust), but never got the chance to play it. This game's on my number one priority list.
  12. That kit is sexy. BTW, what's a "sealer"? It that used for smoothing out the print lines? I usually use decanted primer for the job, although I'm not sure it it's the proper method.
  13. For some strange reason, I really want to see Wutai rendered in modern day graphics.
  14. Same here! FF7 was the first RPG I played as well, and don't even know where I put the PS1 disks after all these years. So, yeah, definitely hyped for the remake.
  15. Between MGS5 and Arkham Knight, I'm not sure which to get (fyi, still recovering from recent tandem purchases of a new monitor, Wacom pen and tablet, and a PS4). I thought I'd made up my mind on not getting MGS5 after they split the game in 2, but the trailer really makes me want to get this one. This could well be Kojima's last MGS game, judging from recent happenings at Konami. Decisions, decisions....
  16. And here I was, thinking the threads were deleted so they can either be merged or given new threads.... Well, at least now we know.
  17. I could have sworn "Book Dany" was left surrounded by the Dothraki, and it just stops there. I vaguely remember something about Drogon flying overhead or something, but I don't think the Khaleesar were harmed in any way. I'll check the book again later to confirm, though.
  18. Wow! You're definitely on a roll here, Xigfrid!
  19. See, if they did things your way, that would have been such a better idea--those F&R earphones look really cumbersome and uncomfortable. I don't mind springing for Compact Flash cards--pretty sure they're easier to find than mini SD cards. I'd stand a better chance of spotting a Sasquatch in my backyard than finding one of those mini SD cards in stores.
  20. I remember wanting to buy a Sega CD2 as an add-on to my Megadrive II in the mid 90's (yeah, I'm a late adopter), but the price was much more than I was willing to pay for. A few years down the road, the Playstation was released, and I totally forgot about the CD.
  21. Yeah, he's an awesome figure. He's the perfect Classics Soundwave as far as I'm concrned. I have him placed next to WFC deluxe Soundwave, for a sort of Cybertronian vs Earth mode display. That's a great idea! I can't believe I never thought of that. I remember it only reads 1-2 GB cards (yet another handicap to the music function) but the awesomeness of listening to music from an actual Soundwave figure is priceless.
  22. I think it's a mini SD card, a sort of in-between size between a standard SD card and a micro SD card. The mini SD is notoriously hard to find. I tried to hunt one down for my Music Label Soundwave, but none of the stores carried those.
  23. XKCD?! That bad, huh? BTW, what Macross 7 war? No seriously, I didn't pay enough attention to it back in the day (90's) to realize people were actually feuding over it.
