I personally felt Hannibal was better then Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, even Fargo. For me personally, Hannibal just hit all the right spots, it topped True Detective, Orange is the New Black, even heavy hitters that sit at the top of my all time favorite TV like The Wire and Sopranos were being considered for a mental bump down compared to Hannibal, it was just far too good. It pains me to see it go, but hopefully someone will save it, if Mindy Project and other crap can get saved Hannibal needs to be saved too, we JUST got to the Red Dragon storyline, everything was moving along so well. I haven't been this heart broken about a show in a while, I am going to truly savor the rest of Season 3.

For me, nothing has come close to the quality of Hannibal in recent memory. Nothing can touch it's cinematography, it's dialogue, it's incredible performances, you can watch a single episode three times in a row and still miss some of the tiny little nuances in the script. It was perfect all around, Mads Mikkelsen is by far my favorite man to step into the role of Hannibal, Hopkins will always hold a special place in my heart, but Mads was absolutely born for this role, he is electrifying in every scene he is in, and now, we'll never get the conclusion we deserve, and next season was supossed to cast Clarice. Hannibal had a rough start, it was in a bad time slot, the ratings never really took off, despite overwhelming critical acclaim, a damn shame, hopefully Netflix or Amazon Prime can save it.

So of course Hannibal, aka the best show on television in years, gets cancelled, and yet crappy Walking Dead gets an entire spinoff? Like a great man once said... I had to vent, this news hurts my insides.

Why is normal King Ghidorah pictured when your box says Mecha King Ghidorah? I sold my normal Ghidorah off a while ago, I was horribly upset with how many QC issues it had, especially for what I paid. I see Mecha King G is still readily available, if he's a solid piece I will probably grab one while he's still available, since I have a literally Ghidorah sized hole in my MonsterArts collection that needs filled. -

Yeah I definitely eyed Apollyon, his second run seems to have released just as I started getting into Masterpiece stuff, but I'm just still not much for him personally. He looks okay, but the very mixed reviews and reports of all kinds of different little QC issues really put me off of him, especially for the price. My biggest objection against Apollyon however is the fact that there are so few Masterpiece Cons out there, since I just got into Masterpiece stuff I've noticed this rather quickly, I don't want Starscream and mutiple repainted jets in my collection, it would be Starscream, Soundwave, Apollyon, and ??? My collector OCD would continuously drive me to collect an even amount of bots for both sides, and that seems to not be an option due to the lack of Cons available. Where are all the Masterpiece car Cons? Where's Barricade or Breakdown? I'm sure there's some sweet third party stuff out there, but I've made the simple decision of sticking to Autobots only for my Masterpiece collection. Apollyon does look pretty great in robot mode though, and he's totally decked out with accessories and other little goodies, but I'm just not willing to pull the trigger, hopefully he brings joy to others that get him, and dread for the Bots he stands next to or across from...- 9275 replies

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread
Tking22 replied to slaginpit's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So I officially pre-ordered my first third party Transformer, FansToys Willis/Hound, and I honestly can not wait. I was never terribly interested in Masterpeice Transformers, I always knew they were quality, and the fact that they are based on G1 was awesome too, but I just never got into them, until the last week when my pre-ordered MP-10 arrived, and now, unfortunately I've caught the bug. Literally an hour after my Takara Optimus arrived I also ordered Wheeljack, Sideswipe, Bumblebee and Prowl, all Takara versions, I just couldn't resist. Now I'm in the uncomfortable spot of needing more but I'm being held back by what Takara has made, I initially looked for a nice third party Ironhide, but Takara announced theres so all is well on that front, same with finding a Ratchet, we'll obviously get him too now that Ironhide is on the way, so I looked for Hound instead. From what I saw there are three current contenders for Hound, which is crazy, and more then I expected, FansToys stuff looks prenomenal though, while I'm not much for the Dinobots myself their renditions looks crazy, so I went with their Willis. Hound isn't releasing for awhile so I've got some wait time, I've also been eyeing Hova/Jazz by TNR, they've never made anything before though so I'm wary about locking one down.- 9275 replies

As I said, this is the Hulkbuster I decided to go with. I've also got the entire Figuarts Avengers line on pre-order, with Hulk and Cap releasing next month.

So what about the Figuarts Hulkbuster? I have zero interest in any of these versions, and yet I snatched up Figuart Hulkbuster as soon as NY put up pre-orders. I think he looks as good as Hot Toys and the other crazy expensive die-cast one, and yet he's a fraction of the cost, plus he's still movie accurate unlike the one by Sentinel.

I'm excited, I actually enjoyed the first, bought the bluray too. It was confirmed already that that's Bebop and Rocksteady before their mutations, aside from that it appears that these photos pretty much confirm what was speculated on about a month ago, the sequel is getting a soft-reboot to many of it's character designs. The turtles are supposed to be re-designed too, they're supposedly smaller, and less cluttered then the first film, Shredder looks totally different from the first film, same with Karai, who was in the first film and received a single name drop. At leas the Foot are using swords now, I'm not really liking the generic armored ninja look, but it's a step in the right direction.

Yeah I've got some DBZ, I tried to tell myself to only get a couple, but it got out of hand quick. I've got Broly, every form of Goku out so far, pre-order up for SSGSS Goku and Gold Frieza, Krillin, Piccolo, Gohan adult, Gohan kid form, Frieza, and Perfect Cell. Plus some Star Wars stuff, Luke and Darth Maul on pre-order, plus some random ones here and there, a couple of Riders, Injustice Batman. I love me some Figuarts, Bandai has really been knocking it out of the park with each new release. -

Funny enough, those are the three teams I have complete as well. I now officially have the B-Fighters, or BeetleBorgs, whichever you prefer, the entire MMPR lineup outside the black and red armor variants, and Tiger and Bunny with the Double Chaser. I'll be putting together the entirety of the Avengers as well, including Hulkbuster, and whoever they announce next. I'm loving the Figuarts line, Bandai has been putting out some amazing stuff lately. -
I got G-Stag and Reddle in, they're both pretty damn amazing I must say, I like them more than standard Sentai and Kamen Rider fair, the armored suits look great. Plus they came with Pulse Sabers, one for Blue Beet too, along with another hand. I'm glad Bandai decided to do the two pack, with only three on the team, no upgraded modes or weapons for the duo, and the long dreaded thought that the two may never even get released, this works for me. I've also had my Figuarts Star Wars stuff for a while but I haven't dug into it, since I got the rest of my B-Fighters today I decided to check these guys out too. I think they're great, all of them, the stormtroopers are awesome, and while Vader's cape is a bit of a disappointment, I still think he's pretty amazing. I've got Luke on pre-order, along with Maul, and whoever else they announce next...

I got some Figuarts stuff in today, actually the stormtroopers and Vader came a while ago I've just neglected to open them, since I got G-Stag and Reddle today I figured I'd check out the lot of them. With G-Stag and Reddle together with Blue Beet I now officially have my third complete Figuarts team, 31 in total and counting. I'm glad I got the two when I did, they appear to be sold out at most reputable sites and Ebay is climbing quick. -
So I've said this before, I no longer own any valks, and I don't plan on getting back into 1/60 again, so I was really hyped for this line, but after seeing how difficult it is to even lock down a 1J, I may just pass on the whole line. I'm a little baffled it's sold out everywhere, and I'm not paying Ebay prices, they're nearing the price of 1/60 V2 stuff anyway. I'm wondering how well the enemy mecha and destroids will sell, I don't want to talk myself into just grabbing one on Ebay and then finding it just as difficult to get my hands on the other stuff, they may never even release Max and Kaki 1As, which is what I really want, I still don't have a complete Vermillion Squad in any form. I don't know, this kind of sucks, I've recently budgeted out myself several other expensive items that are releasing later, including the super insane looking Figuart Hulkbuster, plus the rest of the year is pretty packed as it is, I just don't really know what to do. I love me some Macross, SDF still stands as one of my favorite animes ever, and I find it almost sacreligious that I don't own any valks anymore, but this Bandai nonsense just isn't working for me.
-
I haven't posted in a bit, but I locked down a Hulkbuster, he absolutely looks worth the price to me, whereas something like the Arcadia 0D is ridiculosuly priced in my opinion. I've got all the Avengers Figuarts on lock now, including War Machine Mk II, and I can't wait. Hulk and Cap will be arriving first in July, I'm hoping Bandai doesn't skimp and actually decides to give us a Hawkeye and Widow, there's just no decent Widow figures out there. On another note, my G-Stag and Reddle B-Fighters are on the way, I can't wait for them, Blue Beet is amazing. Bandai Figuarts have been taking pretty much all my money lately, I don't buy valks anymore, and I got off of Hot Toys real quick, so I'm finally able to get into these other lines that have always interested me and I love it.

I picked up my NECA 18" Striker Eureka today, he's incredible, like the rest. Unfortunately however, my shelf that was holding 18" Gypsy and Cherno isn't sturdy enough to hold all three, so I've gotta get a new display for them, and then I have to pick a day to re-arrange my whole room in order to accommodate the new bigger setup for my jaegers. I can't complain, they're awesome. He has issues, it wouldn't be a NECA figure without some. The two huge back fins were STUPIDLY difficult to get in, they fought me for 15 minutes, they eventually went in but that sucked. I'm also pretty displeased with his knees, they're way more loose then I'd like, if he isn't standing perfectly centered he could easily topple either forward or backward, which makes me nervous. Like I said though, he's another great addition, he's way more articulated then Gypsy and Cherno, and his arm blades and lighting are pretty sweet. At this point NECA is almost obliged to put out an 18" Crimson Typhoon, we need at least the main 4 movie mecha in this scale, I could pass on Kaiju, 18" Knifehead was a mess. -
I'm in for the whole line, multiples of enemy mecha and Destroids. I don't have any 1/60 anymore, from any series, and I don't intend on getting anything 1/60 ever again, so I'm definitely excited for this line. I honestly liked my old Hi-Metal 1J and 1S more then my 1/60 Yamatos, I don't quite know what it was about them in particular, I just liked them more, I'm excited to get my hands on a Regult.

I've been devoting a good bit of money to Figuarts lately, I love their stuff, I'm definitely in for all of the Avengers, but it looks like the pre-orders are selling out left and right. I really don't want to resort to Ebay, for one I don't like doing pre-orders through them in general, and also these are staggered releases, i don't think I could trust whoever would be selling some to send them all off without issue. Does anyone have a link to some available pre-orders? Also, I recently got a Blue Beet from B-Fighter, he's great but now I need Reddle and G-Stag too, once again I'm finding pre-orders scarce. The release for these two is next month, fortunately they're bundled together, but I once again don't want to use Ebay, I see NY has them, but I haven't seen them available since they've been on the site, and I'm not sure when or if they'll actually make pre-orders available. If anyone could point me towards some pre-orders for both my next ventures that'd be appreciated, Reddle and G-Stag are priority since they're coming out sooner.

A lot of crazy things happening on both Arrow and the Flash, I'm still pretty blown away by how much I enjoy the Flash, I was really skeptical when it was announced. These little breaks are annoying, but I can deal with it, the previews always get me pumped, I still can't believe we're getting Grodd, that's about as ambitious as you can get. I've seen some people complain Ray is eating up too much Arrow time, I disagree however, if he's to be in the spin off I want some solid time with him, plus Brandon Routh incredibly likeable in the role. I'm looking forward to the return of both shows, the three way team up with GA, Flash, and Firestorm looks crazy, and did I see it correctly, was Ollie in a League of Assassins outfit?

I haven't posted in a bit, pretty busy lately, I started a new job right after the New Year so I've been swamped. I've had four packages sitting unopened for a few days now, the latest one arriving last Friday, I figured it was time to open some stuff up. Right off the bat I'm super impressed by Legacy Tigerzord, Broly is insane, and I should've bought MonsterArts Mothra long ago, she cost me more then I wanted to pay, but when you've already got Battra what other option is there? I've still got a lot to open, I'm excited to check out Blue Beet and Guyver! -
Some good looking pics from everyone, it's pretty, but I'm still not feeling one for the price . Maybe I'll check out a 0A/S when they come out, I liked my old 0S except for the whole falling apart thing.
-
I saw it today after work, I really liked it. I thought it was a fun modern day homage to classic spy films, and an all around well done action film, with surprisingly sleek and intense fight choreography, the R rating ensured there was a healthy dose of violence, including a ridiculous scene in a church. I'll be adding it to my Bluray collection as soon as it comes out, I may even go see it again sometime while it's still in theaters.

I'm still meh on this one, yeah we may never get another 0D, but I'm totally fine not owning one instead of settling on a 300+ dollar toy, it's cool, not that $300 cool, just my opinion. Looking forward to photos though, I'm definitely interested in what they pulled off engineering-wise, particularly in the wing section.

Well, reviews are coming in and they are very positive, I'm in now. I was on the fence, but apparently the film is quite fun and entertaining, and not as dumb as most expected.
