Don't know if anyone here's interested, but I'm definitely pre-ordering one. http://lego.gizmodo.com/here-are-the-first-official-shots-of-the-lego-ghostbust-1738932397 The set is a little pricey, but that's a lot of pieces, and it looks fantastic. From what I've read, the Ideas Cusoo Ecto-1 will fit in the garage too, I'm glad I grabbed one a while back, I guess now I'll have two official Ghostbusters mini-fig sets!

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Tking22 replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
. I figured as much. Syndicate is a good bit of fun in my opinion, I agree with you, a lot of people were turned off the franchise by Unity, I sure was, after going from Rogue to that I just couldn't fathom how it was the same franchise. Syndicate is pretty great though like I said, if you haven't touched an AC in a while I'd recommend it, the stealth is useful and fairly well handled, the combat is fast and brutal, more like Black Flag then Unity, London is huge, and there's tons to do, naturally. The main thing I'm liking is having two protagonists, it reminds me of GTA V, you can swap between the two pretty much whenever you want, Evie is the more stealthy of the two and gets beefier exclusive stealth upgrades, meanwhile Jacob is a brawler that gets the more intense combat upgrades, either way, both characters are a refreshing change of pace from the more boring assassins like Connor and Arno, plus both get some crazy exclusive moves and kill animations.- 6878 replies

I'm 5000% sure you're remembering wrong, or you're being insanely sarcastic or something. It's called Black Flag, as in pirates, you were Edward Kenway, pirate turned assassin, it had ship battles with pirates, and muskets and flintlocks, with pirates. I think you may be remembering Unity, which was set in Paris, and was very meh for a lot of people, myself included, plus it had an infamously disastrous launch. I got Syndicate, I like Syndicate quite a bit, got roughly two hours into Unity and quit, never came back, Syndicate is much better then Unity, I would recommend Syndicate. What exactly is it you're not convinced about? Rogue was like Black Flag, it was essentially a frozen Northern version of Black Flag, but yea, once again, I think you're just remembering you ACs wrong. If anything Syndicate is a bit more like Unity, but not completely terrible.- 6878 replies

To be fair, this friend is more of a brother, I've known him since I was 3, and we always exchange beastly Xmas gifts, I've already hinted to him that I NEED a PG Banshee model kit.

I got another. The one I recently bought went to my girlfriend's brother, this one will go to a friend of mine for Xmas, zero interest in owning one myself.

The price looks good, but I've got too much coming out in February, I gotta get me Legacy Thunder Megazord, VF-4 is cool, but Thunder is a personal holy grail, so I gotta pass.

I locked down a Roy at NY, paid in yen, price was better then USD. I just need a Hikaru 1S now, and some more Regults...

Ugh, I bought even more Legos... I also got in my Figma Armin and Cleaning Levi, Levi's box was too damaged however, so I sent him back. I'll just go without I guess, all I could get was a refund instead of a replacement, I also got one of those bamboo roof stand things. -
That was their intention, as that is exactly how the source is. Lol this is kind of what I mean, I'm not defending the movie, it obviously looks crazy and over the top, my point was that this is exactly how it should look, the novel starts out and seems like a simple retelling of Pride and Prejudice, then the zombies pop up and everything gets cranked to 11. Being older doesn't give you some magical extra sensitive garbage film filter, everyone is guilty of watching over the top brain dead garbage from time to time, not a single person can, with a straight face say, every film they enjoy is widely praised and liked. This film will be no different, some will make it a guilty pleasure film, and yet most will just see it as too over the top and ridiculous. Plenty of people of all ages can discern if something looks too stupid or crazy for them, nobody is forcing anyone to watch this, being able to decide if it's not for you based on a trailer doesn't you make you some wise guru, my point is that obviously not every film is for everyone, and yet films like this will always have their place, and they will always have fans who are excited to see them. Like I said, I doubt I'll ever see it in theaters, but being familiar with the source, it will definitely be a rental or red box, it's not a property I'm head over heels for. I've just gotten tired of reading the same boring comments in every thread for a film that pops up that are exactly the same, (Oh wow, this looks like garbage, this reminds me of X, this looks so terrible who is this for?), there's just so much boring negativity on here it hurts my head. Yes there's a lot of crap coming out, but damn people, god forbid one day you happen to sit down and watch one of the movies you damned based on a 1:30 trailer and you actually end up enjoying it...

Fargo had a damn good season premier, it's so dark, and yet so funny too, it's got a huge ensemble cast, excellent performances, (I'm not a fan of Kirsten Dunst, but I can already tell she's going to be pretty great this season), and it's just really well written. I needed it too, my girlfriend is making me watch the Snoring Dead every Sunday again, ugh.

Also, that Figuarts Bowser is super disappointing, I didn't expect him to be too big, but that's too small. I'll still get one, I really like the Figuarts Mario releases, I'm just upset they couldn't at least have made Bowser as big as the crappy, cheap Jakks Pacific one I have. I guess I'll keep the Jakks version for my Super Smash collection needs, and get Figuarts Bowser just to go with the Figuarts Mario stuff.

Yea when it comes to MW members opinions on movies, I don't even take them with a grain of salt anymore, I blatantly ignore about 90% of them. MW is unfortunately full of boring old people that complain about remakes and reboots of things they grew up with, and they complain about things they aren't familiar with, many can't help but ask who is this for? Obviously not you if you're asking. I haven't read the novel since college, but like you said, it looks like campy fun, and since I'm familiar with the source material that's a draw too. Doubt I'll see it in theaters, but it does look like it could be some dumb fun, the novel was a short entertaining read, so who knows, I may give it a go on a matinee or something.

Cleaning Levi and Armin are on the way from another site . The maneuver gear can get a bit fiddly, but overall, they're damn fine figures, I just wish someone made some kind of titans to go with them. -

I noticed this issue popping up last week, I went to pre-order a Figuarts Ultron from NY, only to get a message saying due to Bandai's new policy with premium items, I would have to pay for Ultron immediately. Kind of sucks, I paid for him then and there, and I had already paid off my Hulkbuster months ago, but it seems tons of people are getting royally screwed by this sudden, "Surprise! You owe us lots of money now!" approach Bandai is putting on their premium items. And I'm still not sure what items are even affected, I pre-ordered Figuarts Ranma just fine, pay later as usual, but Ultron required immediate payment.

Frakk it, I bought some Legos. I also got in some of my Figma Attack on Titan figures, I should have gotten them long ago, they're pretty great, I personally think they're some of the best figures put out by Figma. I also managed to snag another Alien Warrior for $25 shipped, I only had one, and that's just not enough for a single Predator, he needs two to fight to look cool, badasses always need extra fodder to prove how awesome they are. -
So The Flash and Arrow came back this week, quite a bit happened, and I personally feel both premiers were fairly solid. I felt The Flash explained away the black hole a little too easily, did Firestorm just basically shoot fire or blow the thing out of existence? What about the ramifications of Thawne dying? Shouldn't him and Eddie dying have lead to everything falling apart because they were never where they originally were to set all the events of the show into motion? I'm obviously looking too far into this, answer A is comic books, answer B is Speed Force I guess. I was very impressed with the Arrow premier, the blatantly lighter tone and the much more light-hearted Ollie were great, I gotta praise Stephen, he played a very different Ollie and GA then the previous seasons, which is good, because that was the entire point of him officially calling himself the Green Arrow, though, is everyone in Star City supposed to believe he's a different vigilante then the previous green colored archer? That seems like a stretch, but once again, you gotta cut these shows some slack sometimes on the little stuff like that. Darkh is shaping up to be a promising villain, and a good segue for Constantine to pop up, mystics and magic are right up his alley, pretty unfortunate to hear he's only going to be in one episode, and he's only appearing to bring White Canary into the fold so Legends of Tomorrow can be set up. Either way, I'm glad both shows are back, I stand by my mind set that if the Snyder DC universe ends up being a pile of boring, dark, gritty garbage, at least we will have the CW DC shows to fall back on.

Back to the Future: 30th Anniversary
Tking22 replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I like the second film much more then the third, but yes, obviously, it wasn't as good as the first. The thing I wanted to mention was that the excellent Back to the Future game by TellTale, the folks that made the award winning Wolf Among Us and Walking Dead games, is getting a re-release on PS4, X1, and PC. I have the original version downloaded on my 360, which is in my closet, so I'll definitely be buying this new version, updated visuals, smoother performance, and they got the original actor for Biff to re-record all the Biff dialogue in the game, the original VA for Biff was okay, but having the real deal Biff is quite awesome.- 55 replies

Got some new stuff in over the week. I paid more for the D-Arts Mewtwo and Megaman then I should have, but that's what happens when you stupidly pass on the D-Arts line for years. I wanted them both new though, and I needed them for my Super Smash collection. Now if I could just track down an affordable Figma Pit... -
New VF-4 is cool I guess, the big obvious question is how much? This being Arcadia, I wouldn't be surprised by a price that nearly rivals the second hand market prices anyway, in which case, I'm not wasting my time. A re-release should be more affordable then second hand prices, I know this is speculation, but based on how much they've been charging for their other valks, I'm not expecting much.

I always liked my 17D, I had the super parts bundle. Unfortunately I had to sell it off quite a while back, money was tight and I had to find a way to pay for all the Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, they were worth it.
