I don't know about the Alto + Mihail pic. You can see both of Alto's legs in a downwards position, and Mihail appears to be holding him by the waste or hips... I think it's censored for a reason.

Heh, so next episode we're going to see Ranka's zentraedi heritage rear its ugly head. Ranka's going to deck sheryl, and then she's going to knock Alto down and rip off his shirt. The scene will cut away and there will be another big debate as to whether or not "Myung" was raped or just had "her" shirt torn. The sniper will get distracted by Ranka's actions and get so engrossed in watching that President Glass will make a safe getaway. Ai-kun, looking out for Ranka, sneaks up on the sniper and does the face hugger thing. Forgot to add how bad Ozma and Cathy act.

I liked this episode.

After the bandai Macross 7 offerings of the 19, the 1/60 YF-19 never stops bringing a smile to my face. Complicated to get down the transformation, but once you get used to it, it's just as easy as transforming a VF-1.

The new posters looks like they rushed on them, the angles are really bad so you can't see any resemblance to the original cast. Anton Yelchin normally doesn't look that old, he normally looks much younger (he looks more like Bashir from Deep Space 9 in this pic). The angle they got Karl Urban at doesn't really show off any resemblance to Deforrest Kelley, which can be seen better at other angles. John Cho looks more like Harry Kim from Voyager than Sulu, but I never saw that much resemblance between him and George Takei. Simon Pegg just plain old looks weird there. I've still got a lot of faith in the movie, and can't wait for May 2009. Hell I can't wait for a theatrical trailer!

In terms of just being a manager, Elmo Kridanik didn't do much for Ranka. What got her fame and all that was pure luck. Lynn Kaifun managed to keep getting Minmay contracts to do shows. Marge Guldoa did a damned good job of getting Sharon Apple set-up for shows. Akiko was meh, but she managed to get stuff done. Then we have Grace. Super Manager, though one you wouldn't want to cross... If you mean biggest @s$hole evil manager in the Macross series. Grace.

Parts-swapping = I don't buy. I don't need pieces to keep track of in order to transform.

They can't even spell "Nome" correctly, and there are regular errors in spelling using romaji. Is it that surprising they can't spell out Klan Klan right?

Maybe we're looking at the wrong person to connect to Mao. Maybe Grace is Mao's daughter, who got married at some point and lost the Nome name. Her hair color isn't exact, but it's much closer to Mao's hair color than Ranshe. Grace could have given Sheryl the Nome name as maybe she at one point did feel a bit attached to her. Not a serious theory, but an alternate one to throw out there.

Waiting for my package to arrive from HLJ. I hope that it's packed well, unlike what I've been reading of late...

Sheryl is a ticking timebomb. Pretty soon she's going to go berserker, deploy her AT field, and create a lot of hate when she starts flying around tearing apart Island 1 and its inhabitants.

Maybe a 1/100 line will be started up to compete with Bandai's 1/100 VF-25s?* *Disclaimer: This is just a shot in the dark. Please don't suddenly latch onto it and get people confused into thinking this will happen.

Algenix looks cool. The Valhalla III looks like a pickle with a hatch. The Saratoga II looks like a standard UN SPACY design.

I watched RT first. The opening theme sounds too much like the Superman theme. The rest of the music is forgettable, clashes with a lot of scenes, and is forgettable like most cartoon music (the only things that ever stick from cartoons are those openings with a few repetitive lyrics). And Minmei made my ears bleed. Minmay's songs on the other hand are fantastic, especially DYRL and Angel Paint. Macross bgm is great. Especially DYRL.

On HLJ.com, they've got a pic of the 1/60 VF-1D in fighter mode. It's in part 2 of their wonderfest coverage. Just a heads up. I just noticed it says that it will come with Hikaru and Minmay figures to put in the pilot seats.

Sure looks like a Sig P228 in this episode. The serrations for the slide are a bit fat, but it looks like a P-228 to me. And what a turnaround after so many people were complaining that the vajra were no longer scary because they were being owned.
