maybe HLJ was able to carry exclusives before because Yamato guesstimated on demand.....and apparently overestimated on several of those items...like the VF-X and Angelbird.........Isn't this the first time Yamato is producing a limited/exclusive item based on an initial "early bird" count of ultimate sales/production quantity?.......

I think I know what your gf bought you.....if so they are not original....but still unless you were buying them yourself...I would just be grateful that my gf was thoughtful enough to get me something I liked....If she is not a fan I would not expect her to know the difference.....bringing it up will just make her feel bad which is the complete opposite of what her goal was for you when she searched for and bought you something from "macross"......been there.....just take the cd's and enjoy....they sound the same as the originals....

I put in my early bird pre-order for one as that is all I wanted, however, I assume others may have placed orders for more.....seems a separate "early bird" email will be sent on the 20th.... Please let us know if Yamato is able to fulfill your multiple orders or if you were limited to 1 or 2, as that will give everyone a good indication as to whether or not the webshops will be able to make these available for sale..... I did not see anything on the latest VF-4 email update regarding limiting order quantities, but their general policy does seem to imply that "limited" items are subject to order limits.... Hoping everyone that wants one...gets one!

As far as I knew there was 8 volumes of the Arii/Imai Macross "Magazine for Anime and Hobby Fan" booklets.......Volume 8 is probably the hardest to find...... This booklet is not numbered, however, it is also an Arii/Imai booklet....it seems to be announcing the arrival of the SDFM TV show (most likely shameless promotion to drum up interest for their upcoming kits! ).... I had never run into this one before so I assume most have ended up in many a Japanese landfill..... I'll call it "Magazine for Anime and Hobby Fans" Volume Zero! Same size as the other ARII/IMAI booklets.....

You single-handedly brought back some dignity to the much maligned V1 Yamato VF-1........Fantastic work! -
Once painted, it does not look that bad. However, it made me think of (hopefully) an inevitable Yamato SDF-1 TV release.... If it were to be produced by Yamato....would you prefer it to be painted with the bright colors from the show...or the more subdued, yet similar colors as were used in the painted kit in that auction? Hmmmmmm........ ...and I wish one of our talented sculptors would make a 1/3000 scale Prometheus and Daedelus to connect to our DYRL SDF-1's (for a MtF version).......Yamato seems to be dragging their feet!

So in going through the precious materials....I assume they were not able to sucker someone into "borrowing" some of their "missing" treasures.......the set still has missing posters......but I was pleasantly surprised to find a replica of the old Macross DYRL Arcade game poster!!! I regrettably passed that one up a while ago..........plus they forgot to include copies of the stills from the initial movie release....which I shared in the collectors thread.... Can anyone else come up with more items that were missing from the "extras"? -

Only A and B from what I have found...of course, it seems I find new books/printed media that I never knew existed all of the time.......the thrill of the hunt makes this part of the hobby fun.....wish I felt the same about recent Bandai releases....maybe in 30 years?
