    Hi-Metal R

Cool! There can never be too much VF-2SS appreciation!
  2. I always thought that they should have stayed in the Nolan-verse and just went with "how would that universe" have reacted to the existence of Superman and the wider DC universe...... The Snyder-verse is a mess...with the exception of the first WW movie....oh well, nothing to do now but wait for the next DC universe reboot.... Curious how the Suicide Squad will fit into all of this...or maybe that could be the start of the reboot....it technically is a reboot of itself from what I have been reading about it...still, not holding my breath at this point...maybe the DC Universe just isn't film-friendly or Marvel has just done things so well that the bar is just too high to overcome for anything DC
  3. None....they have no set dates at the moment due to the pandemic creating so much chaos in their production schedules.....they said they were having a hard time finding quality manufacturing facilities within their set budgets.....the only thing that had not changed was the planned order of their releases....we will get Max after they release the Dana fig.....I had no plans on getting the Dana fig, but I really want more Macross figs...I may pick up one Dana "for the team"...
  4. So it seems KC is going to release the Dana after the Roy...then the Max fig....no fig info available after Max....SD GBP is still in play but no release date yet....the Covid situation has really messed with their release schedule which is no surprise......the most interesting news, however, was that the SDF-1 that was teased years ago is still in play and may actually get a release announcement by the end of this year or early next year!....guess we will have to wait and see...I'm cautiously optimistic, but think KC can pull it off...an updated 1/3000 TV SDF-1 is at the top of my most desired Macross toy wishlist.....crossing fingers!
  5. Not out in the wild yet.....maybe they have reached their production limit and cannot take any more PO's....which would be a good sign I think
  6. I loved the original WW movie.....especially her theme song....it just makes her even more totally badass.... However, it is ironic that WB released a Wonder Woman sequel that initially hyped the fact that it was set in the '80's...going as far as to including "1984" in its title and featuring a really awesome remix of New Order's Blue Monday in the first teaser trailer.....then the film is released and it is absolutely devoid of any iconic '80's music...a shame and lost opportunity...at least I would have enjoyed the music (like I had the introduction of her theme song, which was mostly absent in the sequel or I just did not hear it) and perhaps have been blinded by the pure nostalgia of the soundtrack to notice how much of a POS the movie actually was.... And now, in yet another ironic twist, they release a "retro" remix for their Wonder Woman 1984 movie based on the Wonder Woman TV show from the 1970's... I hope for WB's sake that the Snyder Cut is not another hot mess....how much more slaps in the face can their DC fans take?
  7. Not sure about the stands...they may also not come with the "clear' fast packs.....but they definitely all seem to be PF'd...good luck!
  8. Several on eBay.... https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=valkyrie+factory+milia&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=valkyrie+factory
  9. Thanks! No...it was more of a "don't ask, don't tell" so I did not want to focus on blame (but I assure you I hardly handled it in the few months I had it)....I was just thankful that they sent me the replacement parts...they actually sent me a whole leg and not just the cracked pieces, which would have been more of a task to replace. I had sent them the pics. I think only making that piece metal would help avoid the issue I had, but then again, I posted a similar issue that occurred with a DX on the same "joint" and I believe that joint is actually made of metal....so just treat your toys like delicate works of art....they just don't build them like Chunky Monkeys anymore....
  10. UPDATE! KC came through for me and was able to send me a replacement leg to make a full repair to my broken VF-1J....the operation was a comlplete success! I big THANK YOU to KitzConcept's fantastic customer service!!! I will probably just tone down the extreme poses that are possible with this toy as I do not want to risk a repeat issue....but I am glad that it is "whole" again! Thanks KC!
  11. I assume it reminds you of Toynami's "quality" because they are actually very different.... The Banprestos actually "look" better IMO and can deliver way better poses....but they are even more "delicate" to the touch.... Perhaps they are closer to 1/144?
  12. Over a year of no posts here? C'mon! This is a very nice job on the suit.....
  13. I am guessing they probably don't even know...I think I recall someone asking them, but they said it would all depend on how well the current figures they have announced sell.....I think we would probably get Milia first...in her UN Spacy pilot suit.....with Baby accessory! So technically an "alien"...
  14. I have them as placeholders until an HMR version is released....they make ok stand-ins for display use and digital playtime ... Sadly....it seems several of them will not get HMR replacements unless you can customize your HMRs like @sh9000
  15. "Dude"....I do not like being accused of trolling....do you?
  16. Totally forgot about the M7 Trash Argentine edition....I don't recall if those have any HG licensing involvement though...think there was an Italian version too... http://www.editorialivrea.com/ARG/macross7trash/index.htm
  17. Thanks, I had wondered if those may have worked for HMR.....I would say indeed they do....again, any "3D" display will always put a flat 2D background to shame
  18. Trolling? Seriously? No. Just trying to show the reality of the situation. No new Macross in the US for decades is the only relevant "fact"...no amount of rants or amateur legal "interpretation" changes that..... In any case, if it makes you feel any better, I am not disagreeing with your "interpretations" of the legal conditions that hold the Macross franchise in it's current situation.....and I beg you good day....
  19. Simple...to cut through the noise you keep propagating and just state that no matter what the actual legal conditions may or may not be....the sad fact is that HG is the de facto gatekeeper of any Macross business in the US now and for the last 30+ years, which for most on here is what really matters....
  20. Nice DYRL shot.....
  21. I am not sure if you just enjoy repeating the long winded replies, but I am not really debating the legality of anything you are stating...all I am saying is in practice, HG may as well be the legal holder of any licensing beyond Japan for the last 30+ years......sure, things may be changing (finally), but I really do not care what happens in China or the EU...I do not live there and what happens there is no indication that it will be repeated in the US, right?
  22. Again, the fact is that there has been no additional Macross releases outside of Japan beyond Macross Plus....no matter how much you try and spin it....HG is the only thing that has been setup, legitimately or not, as the perceived holder of the Macross licenses for all Macross distribution outside of Japan.....legal arguments at this stage are pointless, since nothing has enabled the official release of Macross outside of Japan...as I said, HG may as well be the actual license holder for all things Macross outside of Japan since in practice, that is exactly what has been happening for over 3 decades...
