What other "superhero" show have I seen with so much blood and gore? I think it was also on Amazon Prime.....

Yeah....the Yamato shade of "brown" was too light IMO...the 1/48 being better of the two....sadly, I think Toynami made better color choices for his valk.... I do hope KC will release Hayao at some point, they have already released the "Hikaru"...and the Roy should come out soon with a Max already teased.....it would be another slap in poor Kakizaki's face for them not to make a figure of him.....but not holding my breath...but perhaps it could work as a "made to order" exclusive or packed with another figure, perhaps an exclusive "Uniform" Hikaru (with some special accessory only available with the 2-pack set) that you could only get if buying the Pilot Kakizaki?

I am not sure but, are you saying you are not aware of any SDFM TV VF-1A Kakizaki specific toys? If so, there has been a few....the main ones have been from Yamato.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/28884-macross-chronicle-exclusive-148-vf-1a-tv-kakizaki-type/ At the bottom of the barrel of PT Toys would be the Toynamis.... 1/55 1/100 There are also a few other non-transforming TV VF-1A Kakizaki toys from various brands..... I think we are all waiting for the possibility of a Bandai DX VF-1A TV Kakizaki announcement.....and there still may be a "fool's hope" left for an HMR version at some point....

I believe he is using his "prototype" Z-Soldier in these pics, which I was lucky to have been able to add to my collection years ago...

I really like the clean look of your T-Rex Zentran figs....they look "store bought"... I also bought a set of DarrinG's Z-Pilots and the M-Pilot....very nice customs.... I think DarrinG "retired" from Macross collecting years ago....but glad he made these figures available....it's a shame we still have not received any mass-produced enemy soldiers after all these years.....

Thanks! I thought about it for a while but finally opted for the PF version myself..... Thanks for the idea! I wanted to add Hikaru into the pic eventually, so just went ahead and did it when I added the additional VF-4's! Here was the shot before I superimposed Hikaru onto it....

Not trying to defend it, but in all fairness, I think that it is just one more than we see "Takatoku Toys" on the original Takatoku Toys release......the worst thing about it is still the "toy" inside the box....and the price they are, essentially, trying to get you to pay for a "retro" box!

Yes, but why? Why is he so cruel? Did his childhood puppy not like him? Was there some horrific trauma associated with mice? These are the questions that must be answered in order for us to understand him and thus be more sympathetic to his life's pain.....c'mon, Disney! Make it so!

Thanks! In doing these mashups using animation stills and the actual toys....I'm getting a good sense of all the "anime magic" that exists in all of the original source material....in the pic above, the VF-4 is portrayed as much "longer and sleeker"....so to try and capture the scene with the actual toys takes a lot of "tweaking" and some additional "photo" magic....

Ok...the new pic is much clearer and makes the overall pic look much better IMO.... ....I'm not going to argue or defend the merits of the sculpt.....as Kyle Reese said of the Terminator......
