Macross is great and we are here because we all agree it is....however, I am afraid Macross is nowhere close to being as popular as Star Wars or Gundam...perhaps it is as a result of its forced isolation from the world stage for the majority of its existence that has kept it from becoming anything more than a niche fan series...

Macross Stationery, Pencil Cases....and Beyond!!!

I doubt anyone other than you is looking...LOL -
Just when I thought Macross 7 collectibles were hard to find.....I ran into Macross Dynamite 7 collectibles! For the longest time, I thought the only Macross Dynamite 7 "collectibles" were an official Settie reprints book and a large calendar....recently, I found that there was more... For example...these keychains made by the same company, Movic, that released the Macross 7 keychains.... At first I did not recognize what I was looking at, thinking that someone had put in some random "guitars" into the Macross 7 keychain boxes.... Upon closer inspection, they were indeed specific to the guitars as used by Mylene and Basara in the Macross Dynamite 7 OVA....here is the guitar used by Basara as shown on the LD cover for D7 Vol 4... ...and Mylene's guitar specific to D7.... Suffice to say, I had never run into these Macross D7 keychains before...

Other than the existence for a potential cure for the disease portrayed in TLOU....I didn't find any difference, in terms of the stakes involved, with TWD during it's first few seasons....with the "hope" eliminated...I really don't see why I would want to invest any more time in the story....I already witnessed brutality and gut-wrentching in TWD and did not feel the payout was worth the time I spent on the show...which is why I bailed on it mid-series...it was going nowhere interesting...

As someone who never played the game....the ending did seem a bit anticlimactic...even if others like Ellie are out there...without the existence of the talent to develop a cure....there is no point for any further continuation of the series....as of now....any continuation of the series would be just another TWD

The Macross Packaging Artbook says that the release schedule was about one kit a week...the flyer seems to support that for the months of May thru July of '83...and into August '83.... Imagine being a Macross kit completist during the SDFM/DYRL era! Has anyone ever added up what that would have cost during the entire initial run starting in September '82 thru the last kits featuring DYRL in '84?
