I was curious about these PF KO VF-1's so I ended up buying a used KO SSP VF-1S Focker from a MW member here when it was offered in the "For Sale" thread...it has all the PF tampo...
-
That's a good way to think of those....they are more DYRL than SDFM TV....maybe what their VF-1's would look like post-SW1 and before the events of FB2012

I think I had seen a pic of Tenjin posing with the Takani GBP illustration, which other does he own? I think he may have won them off of some YJA auctions from a few years back. I wonder if anyone knows more about how those Takani originals ended up on YJA...

The Macross-centric version....

As seen on SDFM TV Episode 19 - Burst Point.....

Depends on your definition of "astronomical"....based on his sold listings for empty Macross "boxes"....it seems the minimum entry fee for one of his boxes will be north of $150 shipped...
-
Agreed...if Bandai has convinced itself that collectors will pay 20K JPY for an Orguss mech...surely a 2-pack Detroid set can sell for that amount or possibly less....but who can figure out Bandai's logic at times

Wiseguys got "wise" on the value of empty Macross shipping boxes....🤑

That is great news!...although there is alot of illustrations contained in the book, it is by no means exhaustive....I would hope a second volume would include the the art from the various children's books and magazines, the boxart from more obscure Macross kit releases, such as those from Morinaga, and perhaps illustrations used on the various toys beyond the SDFM/DYRL era... I am glad that the art presented in the Macross Package Art Collection book has been preserved by BW...I can only assume that the wealth of art and pre-prodcution art must be considerable.....I am hoping that most if not all is still accessible to them and not "lost" in time...With that said, I am sure they have enough artwork and other Macross pre-production meterials to cover several volumes...I am definitely all in for whatever they release

Received my 3rd HMR Super VF-1S....and ended up opening the 1st one I received from HG.... I really like this bright white TV -1S....I think I will keep it as a non-Super until Bandai decides to milk a Roy version (kinda unlikely)....and I will donate the SP to one of my TV -1A's....Sorry, hikaru...but sharing is caring....

Still no sound pod attachments? Has Arcadia been asked about them or made any comments on their social media accounts?

This is why I decided to get the new non-Japanese Tenjin book(s)....several of his illustrations from the Macross Chronicle mags are in the book...makes it easier to look up images in the book than hauling out 100+ magazines to search for it.... Although it is also easier to find the pics online....but just seems nicer to have them printed in a book...lol

Yep...from the original Macross Chronicle run...issue 48

I bought the first book at a pretty good discount....I'll hold out for a similar discount for the next one too....I'm curious about the archives

Does a Red DYRL Q-Rau count? If not, placing my bets on a Gen-ReleaseTomahawk and then a Tamashii Web Regult Scout for the win on the next round of HMR Macross Bingo!

Some unique Suzuki Macross art that was not directly based off the lineart.... To me it sort of has sort of a Masami aesthetic.....
