  4. Bandai Toy Catalog circa 1990...
  5. I have no issues with Rey leading the immediate Post-Skywalker saga.....my biggest concern is what they come up with as the main threat...... I do not think bringing back the Sith, Palpatine, Sith Clones, etc will be a compelling enough "new" enemy threat for the post Skywalker era... I am not an avid follower of the EU or even of the new EU that Disney is merchandising in the form of book, comics, etc....however, I am aware of the alien race that was created as the "new" threat to the Galaxy in some of the Legacy EU books.....not sure how that would go if brought into the live-action arena, but just from my limited knowledge of them, they have a very Star Trek vibe about them...like a Borg threat.....not sure if that would work....however, I do like the concepts about the "unknown regions"...to me that sounds mysterious and foreboding enough to be the origin of something more evil and powerful that has yet to be seen.....perhaps it can be revealed that Darth Sidious found "some source of power" in the unknown regions that he could not control and foreseeing his ultimate defeat implemented some plan to expose the known Galaxy to it upon his death as his final act of revenge against the Jedi.....

  9. Ok....yeah....so maybe because it was a "leaked" trailer?...still....it means it is no longer a "maybe" show....so it should now get a dedicated thread.... The Acolyte looks interesting....the Skeleton Crew....not so much...but both look to be ready to go...so new dedicated threads are warranted imo....
  10. At the end of the trailer... "Perhaps it's time to begin again...." Gives me those vibes from the first line of The Force Awakens.... "This will begin to makes things right...." Then things went terribly wrong. LOL It's also an interesting line for a show that seems to be bringing back the whole concept of the World Between Worlds first introduced in Rebels...aka Star Wars-style time travel.....
  11. Brings back good memories... One thing that I remember was the ability to stop by any TRU or other major toy chain and always being able to find the figure, ship, or playset you were looking for... As an aside...I have looked for similar videos or photos for toy stores with Macross during the SDFM-DYRL era and just can't seem to find any....
  12. One thread is for news about upcoming shows...once we have an actual trailer with show footage...it makes sense to give the specific series its own dedicated thread....just like all other Star Wars D+ shows....but I guess that's up to the mods to decide as there is no actual rule about it...seems reasonable to me though...
  13. Yeah...would make sense that Darth Sidious would want that to get out...especially among the Separatists....cultivating hate is a handy tool in the Sith playbook!
  14. Just caught up with the latest Mandalorian episode....seemed like it was a ridiculous and forced plot-line to make Din and Bo-Katan (the viewers) need to wait until the very end to meet-up with her former crew.....made no sense at all As for the guest-stars and their respective characters......they seemed straight out of a cartoon episode of Droids or Ewoks....
  15. Nice Shogakukan promo poster....
  16. Wanted to have a plushie for each series...but ended up passing on Delta....but if I can find one cheap I'll pick up one of those mercats....
  17. So just got back from WDW and my new favorite ride is the Guardians of the Galaxy - Cosmic Rewind... The combination of rotating roller-coaster, story-telling during the ride, and music just takes it over the top....not sure how Disney will be able to top this ride....I was reading that there are 6 possible songs played during the ride....we heard 5 of them....all were perfectly matched to this ride I was also able to ride TRON - Light Cycle Run....it was basically a PO Madeness-like experience trying to snag one of the "free" virtual queue groups that only operated from 9-6pm each day during the "soft opening" (which more or less meant that if you got on the last group for 6pm, you would likely be riding closer to 9-10pm, which actually makes the experiance much better as the whole place gets lit up at night)...of course, a "pay to play" option was also made available which cut your queue time from 1-2 hours to at most 15-30 minutes.... TRON is the fastest coaster in WDW, but not necessarily the most fun...the biggest problem with it is that although fast, it is also very short...the experience is over before you know it....riding it once was not enough to appreciate everying going on during the ride...with that said. I still think Avatar - Flight of Passage is a much better ride experience...the ride was basically the same as the last time I rode it, so as far as I could tell, there were no new Way of Water sequences added....but still a solid ride experience....considering that it is a 3D "virtual" ride...it is very impressive....I look forward to seeing if or when WDW may do another one based on another of their many franchises.... My new top 10(11) rides at WDW... GotG - Cosmic Rewind Avatar - Flight of Passage Tron - Lightcyle Run Slinky Dog Dash Star Wars - Rise of the Resistance Expedition Everest/Big Thunder Mountain (tied) Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror Haunted Mansion Pirates of the Caribbean
